Chapter 1: I Am the Sun
My name is Lin Bai. I am a transmigrator—someone who crossed over into another world—and I have become a celestial body.
However, contrary to what you might imagine, I didn't start out as a Creator God; instead, I became a sun.
Yes—exactly the kind you're picturing: a massive, colossal fireball that radiates light every single day. Yet, that is all it can do: simply shine, day in and day out.
In fact, at first, I thought I was just a lonely little fireball. But one day, after waking from a slumber, I noticed several planets had appeared around me—planets that looked strangely familiar.
They were the spitting image of the eight planets from my previous life! That was the moment Lin Bai realized the truth: he was, in fact, *the* Sun...
There are countless stars across the entire universe, but there is only one star known specifically as "the Sun"—and that is the star at the center of the Solar System.
It was just that the species destined to bestow that name upon Lin Bai had yet to emerge.
Although I possessed a certain degree of control over my celestial form, I could not move. Nor could I, like many other "hardcore" planet-based transmigrators, busy myself with creating atmospheres, cultivating single-celled organisms, or guiding the evolution of civilizations.
As far as Lin Bai could tell, it seemed utterly impossible for any form of life to survive the scorching temperatures—reaching tens of millions of degrees—within my interior...
And that's not even mentioning the interior; the surface temperature of my celestial body alone exceeds six thousand degrees—hot enough to melt every single substance known to exist on Earth.
Aside from emitting light and heat, I could also see everything illuminated by my radiance. That, in fact, was the only way Lin Bai could pass the time.
But even that proved rather futile...
I witnessed every stage of the transformation of the planet that would eventually harbor life—from a massive fireball gradually cooling down into a giant ball of ice, to enduring multiple mass extinctions over the course of billions of years, until finally evolving into the world it is today.
It was a process both miraculous and magnificent.
Yet, much like watching a documentary—where some people start feeling drowsy after just a few minutes—
What *I* was watching was a feed with no narration, and absolutely no edits. Given this situation, you can well imagine Lin Bai's suffering.
The dinosaurs on Earth have long since gone extinct, and for the time being, no other life forms exist anywhere. Consequently, Lin Bai has been stripped of his sole source of amusement.
Of course, he isn't entirely helpless; aside from these limitations, he possesses the power to obliterate the entire galaxy in an instant.
The catch is that destroying the galaxy would mean his own demise as well—specifically, by going supernova. If he were to detonate himself, the nearly infinite energy unleashed by his stellar core would make the destruction of this galaxy a trivial feat.
He has the power to determine the exact moment of his own death.
In fact, Lin Bai considers this feature to be surprisingly "human." He has never been the type to enjoy solitude; if he were forced to remain conscious and idle for billions of years without the respite of sleep, he reckoned he would undoubtedly go mad.
So, to sum it up: emitting light and heat, self-destructing, and the ability to sleep for millions of years at a stretch—these constitute the entirety of the "cheat codes" he received upon transmigrating here...
Alright, admittedly, that *is* pretty pathetic...
That is, until one fateful day arrived.
A mysterious figure clad in a cloak—utterly impervious to the searing, ultra-high temperatures radiating from Lin Bai—approached his side and proceeded to claim that he was Lin Bai's father.
Could Lin Bai possibly tolerate such insolence?
Without a second thought, he immediately prepared to go supernova.
That's right—Lin Bai is just that unyielding! However, just as he was preparing to go supernova, that mysterious figure hurled a strangely shaped golden spear into his stellar core—a weapon that looked remarkably familiar.
Yet, Lin Bai had been in slumber for far too long, and the memories of his past life had grown incredibly hazy; glancing at it now, he simply couldn't recall what it was.
Before Lin Bai could ponder the matter further, he felt a powerful, irresistible pull.
It felt as though his very soul were being ripped out—and indeed, that is exactly what happened. He acquired a body: a fit, healthy, and well-built human physique.
He wasn't sure if he was handsome or not—though that wasn't the point. The point was that he was human! He could go wherever he pleased, no longer confined to the same spot for billions of years on end.
Furthermore, Lin Bai confirmed that he was still a man!
In truth, ever since he had transformed into a star, Lin Bai had occasionally been struck by a sudden, whimsical thought: *If I ever manage to take on a physical form in the future... what if I end up switching genders right at the start?*
That particular worry had haunted him for quite some time.
Thinking of this, Lin Bai couldn't help but find his eyes welling up with tears.
He gazed at that mysterious figure; for this one thing alone—"Dad," he thought, "I accept you!" Before Lin Bai could utter that deeply moving term of endearment for a loved one, the scene before his eyes shifted with dizzying speed.
He was flung—by some unseen force—into a chair beside a conference table. It was a sizable, circular table; at its center lay an exquisite yet enigmatic symbol, while all around them stretched the void—a dark, empty expanse of cosmic stars.
The aesthetic was incredibly high-concept—so sophisticated, in fact, that Lin Bai felt an instinctive sense of awe, even if he didn't quite grasp the mechanics behind it.
Aside from Lin Bai, six other individuals were seated around the conference table.
First, a young man of Asian descent with fair skin, appearing to be in his twenties. His short, golden hair was swept back and stood on end, framing a pair of crimson eyes. Clad in a suit of ornate golden armor, he exuded an aura of flamboyant, unbridled wildness.
Next was a boy, dressed in simple white attire. He, too, possessed golden hair and crimson eyes; bearing a striking resemblance to the young man mentioned earlier, it was unclear whether they were brothers.
Then came a woman—a mature, commanding figure. She, too, had golden hair and crimson eyes, though hers were framed by long, flowing locks. Her attire was revealing; while her lower body was clad in golden skirt-armor—much like the young man's—hers was styled with a distinctly feminine flair, exposing a section of her thigh in a manner both sexy and alluring. With her hands clasped behind her head, she leaned back against her chair, chin tilted upward, projecting an air of profound aloofness.
And then... She appeared incredibly serene, clad entirely in black attire. It bore a resemblance to a nun's habit—though notably lacking a veil—and was adorned with various cross motifs; she even held a cross in her hands. Like the others, she possessed long golden hair and crimson eyes.
Then there was a young girl, clad in a suit of light armor styled like a golden dress. With her long golden hair and crimson eyes, she wore a smile so faint it was almost imperceptible—yet it sent a subtle chill down one's spine. At a single glance, she was clearly a *haraguro* (devious) little girl.
The final figure was the mysterious cloaked individual who had claimed to be Lin Bai's "dad."
Seated at the head of the table, the mysterious figure waited until everyone had taken their seats before slowly beginning to articulate the agenda for this meeting.
...…
As the mysterious figure spoke, the current situation gradually became clear to Lin Bai.
All six individuals present—Lin Bai included—were, in essence, stars. In the mysterious figure's terminology, they were referred to as "Star Spirits"—the very consciousnesses of stars.
Due to the extreme rarity of Star Spirits, the six individuals gathered here—Lin Bai among them—represented the *entirety* of the Star Spirits that had emerged in this universe over the course of tens of billions of years. This was a probability so infinitesimal that it defied description—far beyond a mere one-in-a-trillion chance.
The emergence of every single Star Spirit was, in itself, a miracle!
As the mysterious figure continued speaking, Lin Bai learned the following:
The universe was to be divided into six distinct Star Sectors.
From this point forward, they would serve as the Observers, Guides, and Guardians of the specific Star Sectors assigned to them.
Their primary duty was to oversee the stars within their respective sectors—guiding the civilizations that arose there, observing their development, and safeguarding their existence.
The scope of their responsibilities extended even further, encompassing other parallel universes and dimensions.
That's right: the group Lin Bai had been inexplicably dragged into turned out to be a multi-dimensional organization.
So, after shifting from interstellar sci-fi to high fantasy, had the genre now pivoted once again—this time into a "multiverse-hopping" narrative? Wait... if I'm guiding a civilization, doesn't that still make me a "mastermind pulling the strings from behind the scenes" type of character?
This left Lin Bai truly speechless.
Speaking of dimensions, Lin Bai finally realized why he had felt such a baffling sense of familiarity upon seeing the group before him.
That blond man with his hair swept back—wasn't he, for crying out loud, *Kin-Kirarin*?
"Kin-Kirarin" (Golden Sparkle) is the nickname for the *FGO* game character Gilgamesh, coined because of his blindingly flashy, "tycoon-gold" aesthetic.
Then there was the young boy—"Young Gil"; the blond mature woman—"Female Gil"; and the one clad in a black nun's habit—Jeanne d'Arc.
The only one Lin Bai didn't recognize was the little girl at the very end—though, regarding that particular "little girl" archetype...
Heh... *Otaku are truly disgusting.*
Lin Bai could now say with absolute certainty: the mysterious figure who had bestowed these bodies upon them was definitely an *FGO* fanatic—and specifically, a hardcore Gilgamesh stan, as well as the ultimate "blond hair" fetishist.
He also finally recalled what that spear was—the one the mysterious figure had tossed into his astral body.
Forged from lightning itself—the *Vasavi Shakti*, the God-Slaying Spear capable of instantly killing any deity. In *FGO*, it is the signature weapon of Karna, the "Son of the Sun" from Hindu mythology.
So... was he currently operating on a "Karna" character template?
Lin Bai lowered his gaze to inspect the golden armor adorning his body; inwardly, he was now ninety-nine percent certain.
Alright, fine. Even though the source material is Hindu mythology, it *is* a Japanese game after all; the art style naturally depicts characters as fair-skinned Asians—and handsome ones at that. I shouldn't be too picky...
I suppose I'll just have to make do.
Apparently, due to the mysterious figure's personal preferences, Lin Bai himself sported blond hair and red eyes as well—though while the others' hair was a vibrant golden-yellow, his own tended more toward a silvery-gold hue. Among these six individuals, Lin Bai was the only one who was a true star; given that his physical body was that of Karna—dubbed the "Little Sun"—this seemed entirely fitting.
...
"Tch. I thought some momentous event had roused me from my slumber of eons. As it turns out, it is merely a matter of the authority I already wield and the burdens I already bear."
"Must *I*... require *you* to expound upon the nature of my own dominion?"
Seated to the mysterious figure's left, the "Golden Gil" scoffed disdainfully after hearing the man's words, delivering a critique that was—to put it mildly—rather melodramatically chuunibyou.
Beside him, the "Female Gil" chimed in, echoing her counterpart's sentiments with equal arrogance:
"Not only that, but you have actually presumed to carve up my authority—my very territory—into six separate portions! By whose authority do you dare to act in such a manner?"
To the side, the "Child Gil" leaned back against his chair, arms folded, watching the pair with evident amusement. He then let out a single, dismissive scoff:
"Heh."
*I... am... laughing... at... myself.*
"Did they inherit not only the physical body but the entire personality template as well? Hearing actual human beings spout such lines in real life feels inexplicably cringe-worthy..."
Lin Bai stood silently to the side, observing the scene without uttering a word, his expression utterly blank.

Yet, within the confines of his mind, a veritable drama was unfolding...
