Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Nightmare Begins - 1

Leon Taylor was a tenth-grade student living in India. How he ended up there was a simple story—his mother belonged to an Indian family, while his father was from the United States.

Leon had inherited strong genes from both sides. At just sixteen years old, he already stood 6'1". Every morning he followed the same routine. After returning from his daily run, sweat dripping from his forehead, he stepped into the house.

From the kitchen, his mother's voice echoed through the hallway.

"Leon, breakfast is ready!"

"Yeah, Mom… coming," Leon replied, slightly out of breath.

He walked downstairs while muttering under his breath.

Today was important. He was going to give his third board exam, and in India those exams carried enormous importance. His mother, Evelyn, was naturally nervous.

She placed a plate in front of him and looked at him with hopeful eyes.

"So… prepared well, champ?"

Leon sighed.

"Yeah, Mom. I've got it covered."

Despite knowing the answer, she always asked the same question. Leon found it a little irritating, but he understood she was just worried.

Truth be told, Leon was an average student when it came to academics. Books never excited him the way something else did.

His true inspiration was Bruce Lee.

Martial arts fascinated him.

Near his house was a small clinic where a peculiar doctor worked. Somehow, Leon and the doctor had become friends over time. Their conversations were often strange… sometimes even disturbing.

The doctor once told Leon something that stuck in his mind.

"You know," the doctor said with a strange smile, "you're the result of two experiments. A perfect mixture. Every gene in your body is… interesting."

Leon had rolled his eyes at him.

"I'd rather listen to a beggar on the street than believe anything you say, Doc."

Even though the doctor spoke nonsense most of the time, they still spent hours talking.

Despite their differences, they shared something in common.

Leon was obsessed with fighting.

The doctor was obsessed with science.

Their conversations often turned into exchanges of knowledge. The doctor explained breathing techniques, body mechanics, and strange scientific theories behind strength and endurance.

Leon absorbed everything like a sponge.

Soon, he began practicing different breathing techniques, studying martial arts philosophies, and devouring any knowledge he could find about combat styles.

While walking toward school that morning, Leon drifted into thought, replaying the strange events of his life.

The streets were busy, students rushing past him with books in their hands.

As soon as he reached the school gate, he spotted his friend waiting for him.

Unlike most students, this friend shared Leon's passion for martial arts.

Leon's father had always told him something he never forgot.

"Make friends with people who share your interests. Two minds that think alike can achieve more than one alone."

Leon smirked as he walked toward his friend.

Maybe his father was right.
