Chapter 1 - Bound by Promise

Chapter 1: The Agreement

Aria always dreamed of a love that made her heart race, but reality had other plans. Her family's sudden financial crisis left her with no choice but to consider a marriage of convenience.

Ethan, a successful entrepreneur with a reputation for being cold and untouchable, needed nothing more than control over his life. Yet when their paths crossed in a lavish café, the deal was proposed: a one-year contract marriage. Aria's family would be saved, Ethan's interests protected. There were rules: no love, no emotional entanglement, just a formal partnership.

Their first meeting was polite but tense. Ethan's sharp gaze seemed to pierce through Aria, while she tried to hide her anxiety behind a brave smile. They shook hands over a contract that promised everything… and nothing.

As Aria walked home that evening, raindrops soaked her hair. For the first time, she wondered if a paper could really define her heart—or if maybe, it would be forced to break its own rules.

Chapter 2: Crossing Lines

The early days of their contract were stiff. Dinners were formal, conversations minimal. Yet, life has a way of bending rules.

Aria discovered Ethan's small quirks—the way he hummed when he worked late, the way his eyes softened when he thought no one was watching. Ethan noticed Aria's laughter, the warmth in her hands, and the way she always made an effort for others before herself.

One rainy evening, a mishap in the kitchen forced them to share a laugh over burnt toast. Another night, they stayed silent together under the soft glow of the living room lights, sharing only the comfort of being near each other. Little by little, barriers started to crumble.

Neither wanted to admit it, but feelings were growing. Ethan, who prided himself on control, found his mind wandering to her smile. Aria, who promised herself to keep emotions out, waited for his texts, cherished his presence. A contract might have defined their roles, but it couldn't contain their hearts.

Chapter 3: Beyond the Contract

The turning point came unexpectedly—under a starlit sky far from judgmental eyes. Ethan reached for Aria's hand, his usual composed demeanor gone. "I didn't expect this," he whispered. "I didn't expect to fall for you."

Aria's eyes shimmered with tears. "I didn't expect either… but maybe some promises are meant to last forever, not just on paper."

As the contract's end drew near, they faced a choice: return to their old lives or embrace the love that had grown stronger than any agreement. Choosing love meant taking a risk, but for Aria and Ethan, it was inevitable.

A year meant for convenience became a journey of discovery. Bound by a contract, they found something far more enduring—trust, passion, and a love that neither had imagined.

The world saw a contract marriage. They saw a forever love.
