Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Marvel Qi’s Strange Day!!!

Setting aside emotional men like Wolverine and Beast, even the usually arrogant Cyclops and the cold, noble Phoenix had red eyes.

It looked as if a group of children who had suffered for years had finally received a rare moment of kindness from a stubborn old guardian.

Only one person, though moved, could not stop grumbling in his heart.

"So what is this supposed to be? The Marvel mutant version of 'If they can walk, so can I'?"

That person was Marvel Qi.

And right now, he was slightly worried.

Had he accidentally installed some kind of strange Sorcerer Supreme template into Professor X?

This universe was already absurd enough, filled with monsters and demons scattered across endless space.

Now imagine a Sorcerer Supreme Professor X.

Good heavens.

Even Eternity would find that ridiculous.

At that moment, Marvel Qi suddenly wondered whether the Ancient One in this universe might also be a wise, charming, handsome old gentleman.

Fortunately, ever since entering Mickey's Wonder House, the power of the three types of Qi had strengthened his abilities.

Qi's mental power had already been extremely high.

So he did not have to worry about the old man "hearing" thoughts he should not hear.

"Little Mickey, stop thinking about such nonsense."

The old man's voice suddenly echoed in Qi's mind.

Although he could not immediately see through the secrets Qi deliberately hid, that was only because he chose not to pry.

If he truly made up his mind and ignored the boy's privacy, he could see through everything at a glance.

Even without trying, he could still sense something.

For example, right now he could clearly tell that Little Mickey was plotting another prank.

"What? Old man, you got stronger again?"

Qi looked shocked. He had been extremely careful.

Yet in front of this peak Alpha-level elder, he still looked painfully weak.

The old man chuckled softly.

"I have always been able to feel the chaos inside your mind. I simply respected your rights as a minor."

"But now, thanks to you, child, the knot that had troubled my heart for years has finally loosened. It seems I have stepped onto the fast track once again."

Qi's eyes widened.

"Wait… Old man, are you really about to become the Sorcerer Supreme or something?"

He got so excited that a few inappropriate words slipped out.

Fortunately, the old man did not understand them.

Professor X frowned.

"What kind of strange title is that? Sorcerer Supreme Professor? That sounds ridiculous."

After a pause, he added calmly,

"Your naming ability is almost as terrible as Logan's."

Wolverine's inner voice: ???

Should I howl to match the atmosphere?

Professor X continued teasing.

"So, Little Mickey. If you come up with another mischievous idea in the future, you had better hide it deeper."

"After all, Professor here is still in the process of growing."

"If I fail to control my power, your little teenage secrets might become public knowledge."

Hearing the old man's playful tone, Qi hurriedly wrapped several more layers of mental fog around his thoughts and buried them deep.

Only then did he dare whisper to himself.

"What an annoying old man… but…"

"This doesn't feel like the Sorcerer Supreme Professor style… so maybe I still have the upper hand this time."

Mickey's Wonder House

A mysterious consciousness space that welcomes all versions of Mickey from heaven and across worlds.

Here, the Mickeys are the true kings.

At this moment, this secret space that even the most powerful intelligence agencies in the Western Hemisphere could not track welcomed three masters.

"You mean you almost created a Sorcerer Supreme Professor X?"

A Mickey who looked slightly older than Marvel Qi stared at him in shock.

A tag was attached to his forehead.

Detective Qi

That was the nickname he gave himself.

Beside him stood a younger man wearing blue clothes.

He looked even younger than the other two and clearly had a serious gambling addiction.

A bright yellow label on his forehead read:

Cardmaster Qi

These labels were a silent agreement between the Mickeys so they could tell each other apart.

After all, they were all extremely handsome.

And they looked almost identical.

Inside this consciousness realm they possessed absolute authority, so tagging themselves was the easiest solution.

Seeing Detective Qi's investigative obsession flare up again, Marvel Qi quickly tried to stop him.

"Don't…"

Unfortunately, they were all Mickeys.

They knew each other too well.

Two against one.

Marvel Qi, despite starting with the advantage, was instantly suppressed.

One covered his mouth while the other grabbed his arms.

Detective Qi and Cardmaster Qi worked with perfect coordination.

"Mm! Mm!"

Qi struggled desperately, but one person could not defeat two.

All he could do was watch as Detective Qi began torturing him with a reasoning style that could only be described as Professor Agasa's sarcastic deduction technique.

Why was that considered torture?

Because…

Marvel Qi knew this man far too well.

This so-called scientific detective had gained fame for watching over 1240 episodes of a certain show.

He was praised as a high school detective whose reputation rivaled a certain "washing machine".

But as the saying goes, inside the Mickey family everyone knows everyone else.

Marvel Qi knew the truth.

Detective Qi's reasoning was like Professor Agasa's cold jokes.

Terrifying.

Completely illogical.

Like a fortune teller who was wrong every single time.

Ask him to help with deduction?

That was pure self-torture.

Marvel Qi stared at Cardmaster Qi in disbelief.

"So you're trying this hard just to beat me once?"

Cardmaster Qi said nothing.

He simply revealed the friendly smile unique to card players.

Marvel Qi groaned.

"Haji-card… you bastard."

But things were about to get even worse.

Because winter was coming.

Detective Qi officially began speaking.

"According to my deduction…"

"Your problem is extremely complex…"

"Therefore, the answer most likely belongs to a beginner's favorite theory…"

Time passed without anyone noticing.

Under this relentless reasoning attack, Qi almost lost his sense of time.

Only one thought remained in his mind.

Dormammu probably had it rough too.

Wasn't that true?

Imagine being harassed every day by Sorcerers Supreme holding the Time Stone and trapped inside an endless loop.

That was practically an upgraded version of this tragic Marvel Qi experience.

Suddenly, a sensitive phrase reached his ears.

Qi snapped back to reality.

In an instant, his Saiyan blood awakened.

He broke free from Cardmaster Qi's grip and clamped a hand over Detective Qi's mouth.

"Are you trying to get us killed?"

Qi whispered urgently.

"You're about to break the fourth wall!"

Detective Qi finally pushed him away.

"What are you afraid of?"

"Our boring, soulless, slow-paced plot?"

"Even if there really is an author, so what?"

"No matter how you look at it, the writer behind this story must be a total failure."

"There's no profit at all. What reward could he possibly get?"

"You're still talking!"

Marvel Qi quickly covered his mouth again.

"So what if our story has no highlights?"

"If this book really is newly written and the author suddenly gets inspired, our future journey would be finished!"

Cardmaster Qi suddenly joined the discussion.

"So if such a writer really exists… if he stops writing… does that mean we become free?"

"I remember reading a theory like that online before I transmigrated."

"Oh right. That forbidden novel… what was it called? Something Gu?"

"They say the protagonist launched a tenth-level killing technique inside the book and controlled a handsome man outside the story to free himself."

"Stop!"

Marvel Qi held his head.

"Don't discuss theories like that. Those are just internet rumors."

"And who do you think we are?"

"That book was called the darkest novel after the Four Evil Classics!"

"Only legendary characters deserve that treatment."

"As for us?"

He laughed at himself.

"If there is no continuation, nobody will remember us."

"Even Brother Xiao Ming needed people to remember him before he could revive."

Detective Qi nodded thoughtfully.

"You actually make sense."

"If the writer is really a beginner, speaking like that would be disrespectful."

"Our boring plot could easily get banned."

"If we scare away the rookie author, we might have to gamble on Brother Feng Shuang's fate."

For once, Detective Qi's deduction worked.

"I bet that will not happen."

Cardmaster Qi raised his hand.

"Same here!"

Marvel Qi's face turned completely dark.

He roared like a raging dragon.

"Then apologize properly!"

"If this really is a three-system writer, the two of you idiots will suffer in minutes!"

"Think about those villains who get bombarded!"

"And those protagonists bullied by their future fathers-in-law!"

Before he finished speaking, Detective Qi suddenly patted his shoulder.

Marvel Qi noticed something strange.

The expressions of the other two Qis were slowly changing.

"Wait… what are you doing?"

"Planning a rebellion?"

Detective Qi shouted.

"Rebellion my foot!"

Cardmaster Qi added coldly.

"You think you're clever, huh?"

Marvel Qi panicked.

"Calm down. Let's talk. Violence solves nothing."

Cardmaster Qi snorted.

"Devil?"

"I am the devil."

He flicked a card into the air.

"Come out. Silver Lady."

The card transformed into a beautiful demon wearing a white dress and holding a giant silver staff.

She slowly walked toward Marvel Qi.

"Oh no."

"Are we actually fighting?"

Marvel Qi immediately tried to escape.

He even opened a retreat vortex.

But inside a space where memories were shared, once his true thoughts were exposed, escape was not so easy.

Detective Qi cracked his knuckles.

"Running away? Take my punches first."

Marvel Qi instantly fell into a desperate situation.

Cardmaster Qi laughed.

"You almost fooled us."

"If you hadn't spoken so happily, you wouldn't have revealed the parts we never mentioned."

Marvel Qi was stunned.

"You reacted that fast?"

Detective Qi glared.

"Question my reasoning ability again and we'll settle it with fists."

He had nearly been fooled earlier.

But then he remembered Marvel Qi mocking his deductions.

And Qi had accidentally left the memory sharing state active.

The moment he touched Qi, he felt the truth.

So this guy had been tricking them.

You cunning New York businessman!

Detective Qi shared the memory with Cardmaster Qi.

Once the truth was understood, only justice remained.

The justice of the Qi Brothers.

"ORA ORA ORA!"

The two attacked together.

Moments later, Qi could barely stand.

After getting kicked in the rear, he shouted angrily,

"Just you wait!"

"I, King Mickey, will return!"

After taking two more punches, he finally escaped their encirclement and dove into the vortex that represented his home.

"Haa!"

Marvel Qi suddenly sat up in the large bed on the third floor of his bedroom.

Cold sweat covered his forehead.

"Thank goodness I ran fast… otherwise those two idiots might have…"

Before he could finish speaking, he noticed someone sitting on the edge of his bed.

An old man with a white beard.

At first glance, Qi almost thought it was a ghost.

"Hey! Who are you?"

Marvel Qi asked nervously.

An old man sneaking into the bedroom of a young single man at night?

Was this really the kind of plot he deserved?

He would only accept a kind and beautiful woman over eighteen with a perfect figure.

This old man?

Where did he come from?

Could he pay extra to swap for another Qi?

"Shut up, you brat."

"Stop polluting the reputation of the Sorcerer Supreme with your rotten thoughts."
