Chapter 10: Shattered Identity and the Fire of Surrender

The silence in the Black Fort lab was so profound that even the beep of the machines felt like an explosion. Aarav sat on the cold floor, knees buckled. Before him, the scattered glass and that DNA report screamed the testimony of the 'monstrous' blood flowing in his veins. The son of 'The Great Serpent'... the name was tearing through Aarav's eardrums. The hatred he had made his strength had become his identity today.

Neel slowly approached Aarav from behind. He saw Aarav's shoulders trembling. That Enigma, who hadn't even blinked in the face of death, was being crushed under the weight of his own truth today.

"Aarav..." Neel whispered, placing his hands on his shoulders.

"Get away from me, Neel!" There was a terrifying resonance in Aarav's voice that had never been heard before. "I am the same darkness your father wanted to save you from. My veins carry the same poison that destroyed thousands of lives. I am not a protector... I am a curse."

Aarav stood up with a jerk and pinned Neel against the wall. The serpent-like blue-black glow in his eyes was intensifying. His grip on Neel's wrists was so tight that lines of pain appeared on Neel's face.

"Do you still love me?" Aarav asked, moving close to Neel's face, his breath feeling like fire on Neel's neck. "Or do you now see in me the killer who gave birth to this entire conspiracy?"

Tears flowed from Neel's eyes and fell onto Aarav's hands. "I see only my Aarav in you. The Aarav who took me out of the dark cell. The Aarav who made me a part of his soul."

Aarav's hatred began to melt before Neel's unwavering faith. He loosened his grip and rested his head on Neel's shoulder. He didn't sob out loud, but his quiet tears were soaking Neel's shirt. This was an Enigma's weakest and deepest emotional moment.

"I'm afraid, Neel... that I'll hurt you," Aarav said, breaking down.

Neel took Aarav's face in both his hands and kept kissing him until Aarav's breathing became normal. "Then hurt me. If the pain given by you is my fate, then I will accept that too. But do not surrender your identity to that monster."

Aarav clutched Neel in his arms so tightly as if he wanted to hide him inside his very existence. That night, on the cold floor of that lab, Aarav renounced his old identity. He dissolved all his hatred, all his anger, and the fear of his roots in Neel's love.

"I will sit on that throne, Neel," Aarav said, looking straight into Neel's eyes, his voice now stable and more dangerous than ever before. "I will go before the 'Grand Master'. I will accept his legacy... only to hollow it out from within. I will sit on that throne and set it on fire."

Neel placed his hand on Aarav's hand. "And I will stand with you in that fire."

Aarav made a deep and permanent mark on Neel's neck again, but this time it wasn't to show authority, but a promise—that no matter whose blood Aarav carried, his soul would belong only to Neel.

Just then, Alex's message came. "Sir, the Grand Master's messenger is waiting outside the island. He has come to welcome the 'Prince'."

Aarav put on his black jacket and took Neel's hand. "Let's go, Neel. It's time for the world to see what happens when an 'Enigma' stands against his own blood—a true apocalypse."

Serpent Island and the Prince's Coronation

Piercing through a thick veil of mist in the center of the Arabian Sea, Aarav's black warship was approaching 'Serpent Island.' This island wasn't on any map because it wasn't governed by science, but by the Grand Master's terrifying 'Shadow Empire.' Thousands of masked soldiers stood on the shore, torches blazing in their hands.

As Aarav and Neel stepped off the ship, the entire island shook with a thunderous chant—"Welcome, Prince! Welcome, Heir of Shadows!"

The serpent-like glint in Aarav's eyes was steady. He held Neel's hand so tightly that not even air could pass between them. Standing before him was the Grand Master's messenger, bearing the same double-headed serpent tattoo on his face.

"Prince, the Grand Master awaits. This coronation is incomplete without you," the messenger said, bowing deeply.

Aarav moved forward without a word. They were led to an ancient, Gothic-style mansion built atop the island's highest peak. The interior was like a dark fantasy. The walls were painted with gold and blood. In the center sat the 'Golden Throne,' guarded by a gargantuan statue of a serpent behind it.

Seated on the throne was a figure whose face remained shrouded in murky darkness. This was 'The Grand Master.'

"Come closer, Aarav," his voice felt like it was echoing from a deep abyss. "Your charade of being a Pratap Singh is over. You are my son, the rightful heir to my powers."

Aarav stood directly before the throne. "I haven't come here as your son. I've come here to bury the truth you've nurtured for years."

The Grand Master laughed—a laugh that could pierce anyone's soul. "Truth? The truth is that the 'Destroyer' power within Neel can only be controlled by my blood. You marked him because your veins carry my DNA. If you were just a Pratap Singh, Neel would be dead by now."

A wave of terror washed over Neel's face. He realized that Aarav's power to mark him was, in fact, a legacy bestowed by the Grand Master.

"Tonight, you will sit on this throne and hand the Omega over to the Serpent Society entirely," the Grand Master commanded. "In exchange, you will receive the 'Immortality Serum' that will make you immortal."

Aarav took a step forward and touched the cold, golden throne. His mind trembled with the sensation of that power. He felt as if he could dance the entire world on his fingertips. But as he looked at Neel, whose eyes held only love and trust, Aarav's resolve turned into steel.

"You said Neel's destroyer form can only be controlled by your blood," Aarav said in a low, dangerous voice. "But you forgot one thing. My blood might be yours, but my 'Passion' is my own."

Aarav drew a concealed 'Thermal Blaster' from his wrist and aimed it directly at the Grand Master. "I will sit on this throne... but not as your heir. I will sit as your final doom."

Suddenly, an explosion of tantric energy rocked the hall. Red light began to emanate from the eyes of the serpent statue behind the Grand Master.

"So you have chosen death?" The Grand Master stood up, his true, horrific form finally revealed to all. "You are insulting my blood, Aarav!"

"You severed the bond of blood the day you snatched my real family from me," Aarav roared. "Neel, the time has come! Awaken your power, but not for hatred... for me!"

Neel closed his eyes and connected with Aarav's Mark. A powerful earthquake shook the entire island. The combined energy of Aarav and Neel began to clash with the Grand Master's shadow empire.
