After planning for so long, I finally arrived at Jeju Island, which takes 11 hours to reach. It was tiring, but also excited to see Jeju.
After settling in, it was already sunset. I realized it when I saw the ocean glowing under the evening sky. The smell of the sea filled the air, and suddenly I started craving coffee. So I went to a nearby café with an ocean view. I ordered a coffee and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
Soon night fell. At that moment, I noticed someone wearing a hat. He had fair skin and looked handsome. Our eyes met for a moment, but I quickly looked away and pretended to focus on taking pictures of the ocean view.
Later, I decided to go back outside for a walk. While walking, I saw him again. This time he was wearing a mask and walking very fast. He looked tense. Then I noticed some people following him.
So I decided to help him. I pulled him to the other side so the people chasing him wouldn't see him.
When I looked at him, he stared at me with a confused expression.
My heart started beating faster.
I stepped back and said,
"You seemed tense because they were following you. That's why I did that."
He stared at me for a moment.
"Why did you help me?" he asked.
Then he added,
"Am I a kid who needs rescuing?"
I suddenly felt embarrassed. I quickly apologized and ran away without even looking back.
As I walked away, I could feel his gaze behind me.
I freshened up and went to bed, wondering if helping him was a bad idea.
My first day on Jeju Island… ended like this.
Wait… did he think I did that on purpose?
Ah, never mind. I should just forget it.
Soon, I fell asleep.
Suddenly, I woke up with a loud scream.
The dream… was about him.
And strangely, I could still see his eyes clearly in my mind.
