It was a regular afternoon when Arjun received a message from Ananya. But instead of her usual cheerful tone, the message was short and confusing:
"Arjun, can we talk? Meet me near the library."
Arjun's heart raced. Something felt wrong. He rushed to the library and found Ananya sitting alone, looking worried.
"Arjun… I have something to tell you," she said softly.
Arjun sat beside her. "What's wrong, Ananya? You look upset."
She hesitated for a moment. "It's… my family. They want me to focus only on studies and not get involved in any relationship right now. I didn't tell you before because I didn't want to hurt you."
Arjun felt a heavy weight in his chest. "You mean… we can't be together?"
Ananya shook her head, tears forming in her eyes. "I don't want to stop us, but it's complicated. I… I need some time."
Arjun held her hand. "Ananya, I understand. I'll wait. No matter what, I'm not going anywhere."
Though sad, Ananya smiled faintly. "Thank you, Arjun. Your patience means a lot to me."
As they left the library together, both knew that love sometimes requires patience and understanding, and that this challenge was only the beginning of a stronger bond between them.
