There was no thunderous rumble, only a soft sound like a quiet sigh.
What lay beyond made everyone fall silent.
It was not another underground cave, but a miniature world sealed within crystal.
Behind a vast transparent barrier floated an upside-down city. Its architecture was unlike anything in the Clover Kingdom or the Diamond Kingdom. Wooden structures with an ancient Eastern design stretched across the sky, glowing streams of pale golden chakra weaving between rooftops and towers.
At the center stood a massive, withered tree. Though lifeless, its towering branches still reached upward, a remnant of its former glory.
"Is that the Divine Tree?" Asta asked, eyes wide.
"No, it is what remains of it," Cedric replied, his Rinnegan revealing its true nature. "Its chakra has been completely drained."
"What is this place?" Noelle Silva whispered.
At that moment, the space inside the gate lit up. Countless particles of light gathered together, forming a projection before them.
It showed a war that shattered the world.
Figures dressed like ancient shinobi clashed against mages riding enormous magical beasts. Chakra and magic collided, turning the sky a deep purplish red.
At the center stood a long-haired man with ripple-patterned eyes, wielding a massive blade, facing a robed figure holding a staff.
"That is the Sage of Six Paths," Cedric said, his voice low. The chakra radiating from that figure matched his own.
"And that must be the first Wizard King," Asta added.
The battle reached its peak quickly.
Both figures unleashed overwhelming power at the same time. The collision split the world itself.
One half became the current magic world, including the Clover Kingdom and Diamond Kingdom.
The other half was sealed away here, forming this abandoned sanctuary.
The projection faded.
Cedric exhaled slowly. "Now I understand. This world once had both chakra and magic. After that war, chakra was sealed away, leaving magic as the dominant power."
"Why fight like that?" Asta asked.
"For the source," Cedric answered, looking toward the withered tree. "Chakra is the foundation of this world. Magic is only a variation of it. When the Ōtsutsuki Clan descended, they tried to claim that power. To stop them, the people sealed chakra itself."
"So this place is the real sanctuary," Noelle said, staring at the floating city. "The remains of a sealed civilization."
Suddenly, the city trembled.
From the remains of the Divine Tree, a golden fruit slowly emerged.
It radiated a terrifying presence, as if it held the secrets of the entire world.
"Is that the origin of the chakra fruit?" Cedric said quietly.
"It is calling me," Asta muttered, his expression shifting as if hearing something distant.
Cedric immediately grabbed his wrist, sending Six Paths chakra into him. "Do not listen to it. That thing can manipulate the mind."
Asta shook his head, regaining clarity. "Yeah, I felt that."
"It wants us to take it," Cedric said. "If we do, the sealed chakra will be released."
Luck Voltia grinned slightly. "So what, we just leave it?"
Cedric stared at the fruit, then made his decision.
"No. If chakra is released, the balance of this world will collapse. We seal it completely."
"Seal it?" Asta asked. "How?"
"With everything we have," Cedric replied, raising his hand as a Truth-Seeking Orb formed. "Asta, Noelle, Luck. Lend me your power."
Asta's eyes lit up. "Got it."
Without hesitation, the Black Bulls moved.
Asta released his Anti-Magic, dark energy surging outward.
Noelle's Water Magic flowed like a raging tide.
Luck unleashed his lightning-enhanced magic with a wild grin.
Cedric inhaled deeply, his Rinnegan fully activated.
"Six Paths: Planetary Devastation!"
A massive gravitational core formed above the upside-down city.
Asta stepped forward. "Anti-Magic, full output!"
His power fused with the gravitational pull, amplifying it.
Noelle raised her hand. "Water Magic: Great Waterfall!"
A torrent of water surged upward, merging into the forming seal.
Luck laughed. "Let's go!"
His lightning crashed into the core, completing the fusion.
Four powers merged into one.
A radiant sealing array formed, glowing with multicolored light as it descended over the city and the golden fruit.
Slowly, the entire upside-down world sank deeper into the crystal barrier until it vanished completely.
Silence returned.
Cedric collapsed to one knee, breathing heavily. His chakra was nearly depleted, and even his Rinnegan had dimmed.
"Is it over?" Asta asked, lying flat on the ground.
"For now," Cedric said with a tired smile. "But this is only the beginning. As long as chakra exists, there will always be those who seek it."
He stood as the stone gate slowly began to close.
"Let's go."
"Back to the Royal Capital?" Noelle asked.
"Yeah." Cedric nodded. "We need to report this to the Wizard King."
He paused, a faint unease crossing his face.
"And something tells me a bigger storm is coming."
The Black Bulls walked back the way they came, silent but determined.
A new battle awaited them.
No matter what stood in their path, they would move forward.
Because they were the Black Bulls.
