Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 The Jade Tablet's mystery - The Ambition Raise A Corpse To Immortality

He reached out and grabbed her hair, dragging her off the stone bed.

Her body stiffened, and she was dragged to the ground like a piece of wood with a thud.

The woodcutter released his grip, turned around, and gently placed Ye Guyun on the stone bed.

With her snow-white skin, perfect figure, and exquisite features, she was breathtakingly beautiful even while lying on the cold stone bed.

The woodcutter bent down and gently kissed her forehead.

"Rest well... my Sword Immortal... Tomorrow... we'll continue..."

Then he straightened up and walked toward the old, abandoned corpse on the ground.

He grabbed her hair, dragged her out of the ice cellar, up the stone steps, and all the way outside...

The rain has stopped, and a faint glimmer of dawn is appearing on the horizon.

The woodcutter dragged her to the edge of a cliff on the back mountain, and then.

Throw it with force...

"call--"

The shriveled corpse tumbled through the air before finally disappearing into the fog-shrouded abyss.

The woodcutter clapped his hands, turned around, and walked back to the wooden house.

He was in a better mood than ever before.

Because he knew...

Awakening in the Afternoon:

The Woodcutter was awakened by a burst of blinding sunlight.

He opened his eyes and found himself lying naked on the wooden bed. The sheets beneath him still bore the lewd traces of the previous night's fierce battle large patches of dried, cloudy semen, clear bodily fluids, and some unidentified water stains. The entire bed reeked of a strong, fishy smell, mixed with the scent of pine resin and orchids, creating a strange, intoxicating aroma.

He propped himself up, feeling sore all over although he was physically strong, the two intense sexual encounters the previous night had taken a toll on his back. But this pain only excited him it was the "spoils of war" left behind after conquering the noble fairy...

The sunlight outside the window was dazzling.

The woodcutter squinted, reached for a pair of worn-out linen trousers by the bed, put them on, and then walked shirtless to the window.

The outside world has completely changed..

Last night's torrential rain washed the entire back mountain clean, and the ancient hemlock trees were covered with glistening water droplets that sparkled in the sunlight. In the distance, the mountain peaks were shrouded in mist, and occasionally the chirping of birds and the babbling of streams could be heard.

Everything seemed so calm and peaceful, as if the terrifying lightning tribulation of last night had never happened.

But the woodcutter knew...

Someone did attempt to undergo tribulation in the clouds last night, and failed.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to find such a perfect "goodsman" as Ye Guyun.

He turned to look at the stone steps leading to the underground ice cellar in the corner of the cabin where his new favorite lay quietly, waiting for his return.

The woodcutter licked his lips, and his lower body reacted again.

But he forcibly suppressed his desire it wasn't the time to be in heat; he had more important things to do.

Jade Pendant Research: Hidden Secrets

The woodcutter picked up the jade pendant and storage bag he had taken from Ye Guyun the night before...

He set the storage bag aside for the time being it was engraved with complex restrictions, and he couldn't open it with his abilities; forcibly breaking it would only trigger its self-destruct mechanism. The jade tablet, however, was different. Although it also had some simple protective runes, its main functions were identity authentication and information storage; perhaps he could unearth something useful from it.

The woodcutter sat at the wooden table, placed the jade tablet flat on the surface, and then examined it carefully..

The jade plaque is about the size of a palm, carved from the finest spirit jade. Its texture is warm and delicate, radiating a faint spiritual light. The front is engraved with the three characters "Ye Guyun," the characters flowing like swords, exuding a sharp killing intent; the back is engraved with the iconic flying sword pattern of the Misty Sword Sect, with clouds and mist swirling around the sword, lifelike...

The woodcutter stretched out his rough fingers and gently stroked the surface of the jade plaque..

It feels cool and smooth, with an indescribable sense of comfort.

He recalled the scene when he triggered the jade tablet last night he had simply rubbed it casually, and the jade tablet automatically projected the images and last words left by Ye Guyun before his death.

"If it can be triggered by simple friction... could there be other hidden functions?"

The woodcutter squinted and began trying various methods...

He tried pressing the surface of the jade pendant with different pressures, tried scratching the runes with his fingernails, tried breathing on the jade pendant, tried licking it with his tongue...

But the jade pendant did not react at all.

The woodcutter was getting agitated. He grabbed the jade pendant, intending to smash it on the ground, but just as his fingers touched the flying sword pattern on the back of the pendant.

"Buzz"

The jade pendant suddenly vibrated!

The woodcutter was taken aback, his finger pausing on the flying sword pattern.

The jade pendant vibrated again, this time more violently, and the runes on its surface began to glow, emitting a pale blue spiritual light.

The next second...

A phantom light projected from the jade tablet, hovering in mid-air.

But this time it wasn't Ye Guyun's image, but rather...

A map.

The woodcutter stared wide-eyed at the map of light and shadow before him..

It was a three-dimensional, extremely detailed topographical map. At the center of the map was a majestic mountain peak, shrouded in clouds and mist, with a large group of buildings vaguely visible on its slopes that should be the location of the Misty Sword Sect's mountain gate.

The map was covered with dense runes; although the woodcutter was illiterate, he could understand some of the simple patterns...

Red symbols represent danger zones, blue symbols represent safe zones, and gold symbols represent... a treasure vault?

At the edge of the map, there is a small dot that flashes a faint red light..

That small dot is located at the Absolute Spirit Cliff of the Cloud-Broken Mountains!

"This is... a location function?"

The woodcutter suddenly realized.

This jade token is not only an identity badge, but also has positioning and navigation functions. Disciples of the Misty Sword Sect can wear this jade token to know their location and the sect's location at any time.

More importantly..

If the owner of the jade pendant encounters danger or dies, the jade pendant will automatically send a distress signal to the sect!

The woodcutter's heart skipped a beat.

He looked down at the jade pendant in his hand the small red dot was still flashing, but the signal seemed weak, flickering and possibly going out at any moment.

"Could it be... that this jade pendant has been sending out distress signals?"

The woodcutter broke out in a cold sweat.

If that's the case, then the Misty Sword Sect will soon send people to search for Ye Guyun's body!

But he quickly calmed down.

The mist behind the Spirit-Severing Cliff can block divine sense detection, and the chaotic spiritual energy here will severely interfere with any signals sent by the jade tablet. Judging from the frequency of the jade tablet's flashing, the signal is so weak that it is almost undetectable.

Moreover, countless disciples of the Misty Sword Sect fail their tribulations every year, and the sect cannot possibly go to great lengths to search the mountain for every single one of them. As long as the corpse has not been turned into a corpse puppet by evil cultivators or desecrated, the sect generally assumes that the deceased's soul has been scattered and will not pursue the matter further.

"But just to be on the safe side... we should still hide this jade pendant well, or..."

The woodcutter stared at the jade pendant in his hand, a bold idea flashing through his mind.

"If I could break the jade token's seal and alter the location information, making the sect believe that Ye Guyun has died somewhere else..."

The idea was tempting, but he simply couldn't do it with his abilities.

The woodcutter remained silent for a moment, then finally decided to hide the jade pendant first.

He walked to the corner of the wooden house, lifted a loose plank in the floor, revealing a small hidden compartment he had dug. Inside were some odds and ends he had looted from the female corpse in the past a few broken spirit stones, some damaged talismans, and a few blood-stained undergarments…

The woodcutter threw the jade pendant and storage bag into the hidden compartment, then covered it with a wooden board and stomped it down.

"Let's leave it at that for now... Once she's 'resurrected,' we'll try to get the method to break the jade pendant from her."

Corpse Raising Plan:

After dealing with the jade pendant, the woodcutter sat back down at the wooden table and began to plan his next move, from corpse to slave.

He pulled a crumpled piece of animal skin from his pocket it was a "secret method for raising corpses" that he had tricked from a wandering Taoist priest a few years ago.
