Chapter 25 - The First Hint of Betrayal

That evening, as the twins returned to their branch residence, the victory's euphoria lingered in their hearts. Yet even in triumph, an unease crept into their minds.

The dragon turtle's voice was solemn: Beware the eyes that watch. Not all attention is benign. The clan has interests beyond your knowledge.

Matthew frowned. "Do you think the elders are upset?"

Michael shrugged. "They might be. But what can they do? We're branch members, and our grandfather left preparations for us."

Still, the shadows of the elders lingered. Conversations whispered in the halls spoke of jealousy, of lost opportunities, and of potential threats to clan hierarchy.

And unknown to the twins, certain influential families within the main branch had begun to plot. They would not openly confront the boys yet, but the seeds of betrayal and manipulation were being sown.

The twins' rise was celebrated publicly, but secretly, it disrupted the delicate balance of the Yin-Yang Clan. One day, the stakes would escalate, and the boys' lives would be put to the ultimate test.

For now, the twins prepared for the next stage of their cultivation, unaware that their greatest enemies might come from within the clan itself.
