Chapter 1 - .....

My entire life flashes before my eyes constantly, from my childhood until now.I was a prince in name only—a nobody. Even the servants treated me like cattle.I grew up, crossed every boundary, and stained my hands with blood again and again. I became the empire's top criminal, yet the emptiness never vanished… it still hasn't.

Perhaps that's why I took care of those children, and established what is now called a criminal organization.

Do you have anything to say to the Supreme Court, William Estarion?"

Do I have anything to say?" I let out a short, mocking laugh.

William Estarion! Respect the sanctity of the court!

I smiled as the heavy chains scraped my wrists, choking my breath. I felt suffocated.

"Damn you all, you sons of #@!" I raised the corners of my lips defiantly.

Look at him… exactly as they say of him.How can he be of the ruling bloodline?

I turned my head to feel the weight of the iron on my neck."If you want to speak about me, first remove the restraints, you cowards!"

The chief judge rapped his gavel and looked down at me, his eyes carrying nothing but judgment.

This bastard…Considering all of Prince William's crimes, and his acts of terror against the people, with the approval of Emperor Darius Estarion, you are sentenced to death.

I laughed loudly, chaos spreading through the hall.

"If all this is that man's doing…" I started to speak, but an explosion shook the place. The ceiling began to collapse, dust and blood scattering over the unlucky.

I smiled. My moment of anger faded when I saw him.

The man I had been waiting for stood there, grinning from ear to ear, green eyes burning the air around him

."Captain, are you alright?"

"You're late… I almost died because of that old fool."

I lowered my gaze to the rubble, maybe the old judge was buried beneath it.

He leapt from the debris and lifted me despite my weight. This child has grown stronger.

"Captain… can't I destroy the restraints?"

"No… if you do, it will explode."

"Good thing I asked."

We ran, me on his shoulders, evading soldiers easily while he took some down along the way.

"Ulric, why are you here alone?"

"I don't know… the others kept discussing the plan, so I got ahead of them."

I opened my mouth to complain, but a sharp pain struck my head.

"You should have been content to just hear the sentence."

I lifted my head at a familiar voice. In front of me stood a man

with white hair and white eyes, wielding the only black sword on the continent.

I couldn't contain myself seeing the sword I had desired more than anything in the world.

"What are you doing here, brother? Aren't you busy?"

"William, you need to learn when to stay silent."

"In times like these, one is told to learn when to apologize…"

A black light shot toward the man."Captain, I'll deal with him!"

A strike with the sword brought him down, powerless to rise. Ulric wasn't weak, but this man was on a completely different level.

"His Majesty ordered me to stop you if you went out of control."

Do you think you can stop me? I'm William; even if you and that man try…"

"You should have listened from the start."

The shackles exploded, leaving a burnt hand amid the debris.
