Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Price Begins

Rishikesh stood frozen in the old room. The strange sentence in the mysterious book kept repeating in his mind.

"Every wish has a price. Your price will soon be collected."

A cold feeling ran through his body.

"What does that even mean?" Rishikesh whispered nervously.

He quickly closed the book and put it back inside the wooden chest. For a moment, he felt as if the room itself was watching him.

Trying to forget about it, Rishikesh walked outside.

The village looked normal. Children were playing, farmers were working in the fields, and the rain from yesterday had already stopped.

But Rishikesh still felt uneasy.

Later that evening, Rishikesh went to the market with his friend Rohan. They were talking and laughing like always.

Suddenly, Rishikesh noticed something strange.

His friend Rohan accidentally slipped on the wet ground and fell hard.

Everyone rushed to help him.

Rishikesh felt shocked and worried. Rohan was holding his leg in pain.

In that moment, Rishikesh remembered the book's warning.

"Every wish has a price."

His heart started beating faster.

"Is this… the price for my wish?" Rishikesh thought.

He quickly ran back home and rushed to the old room again.

With shaking hands, he opened the mysterious book.

This time, new words slowly appeared on the page.

"The balance has begun."

Rishikesh stared at the page in fear.

He finally understood one thing.

This book was powerful… but it was also dangerous.

And the more wishes he made, the more dangerous the price could become.
