Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 – The Chain Reaction

Inside the twins control room, the large screens still displayed the government building from multiple angles.

The chaos inside the observation hall had finally calmed.

Officers were moving more slowly now.

Some were speaking quietly.

Some looked relieved.

It appeared that the situation had been contained.

Baby suddenly spoke.

"Did they forget something?"

Long Jinmei turned her head slightly.

"What?"

Baby's calm voice continued.

"The files were already uploaded."

Jinmei frowned slightly.

"Is it stopped now?"

Baby answered immediately.

"No."

Long Jinhai looked at the central screen.

"What do you mean… no?"

Baby explained in its usual neutral tone.

"The system already collected the data earlier."

"It created multiple clones of the files."

Several small windows opened across the control room display, showing invisible data flows moving quietly across networks.

Baby continued.

"Even if the original phone is not active…"

"The copied data still exists in many places."

Jinmei understood immediately.

"Meaning?"

"Anyone who opens those uploaded files…"

"…will trigger the next stage."

Jinhai leaned forward slightly.

"And then?"

Baby replied.

"The system will collect data from their device as well."

"Private files."

"Hidden records."

"Confidential information."

"And those will also be uploaded."

Jinmei's eyes narrowed slightly.

"A chain reaction."

"Yes."

Baby confirmed.

"A continuous chain reaction."

Meanwhile, inside the government observation hall, the officers believed the crisis had ended.

Most of them were calmer now.

Some technicians were even beginning to reconnect systems carefully.

They believed removing the batteries and cutting power had stopped everything.

But far below them, on the building's lower floors, other government staff had already begun discovering the first wave of the leaked files.

Confidential documents were appearing in unexpected places.

Private folders were opening on internal terminals.

Hidden records were spreading through internal servers.

Several ground-floor officers stared at their monitors in shock.

"What is this?"

"Where did these files come from?"

One officer quickly stood up.

"We need to report this upstairs."

Within minutes, they were rushing toward the higher floors where the main investigation team was located.

Back in the observation hall, the superior officer was still watching the waiting room camera feed.

Everything still looked normal.

Ten actors sleeping peacefully.

Suriya sitting silently in meditation.

Nothing had changed.

But Baby quietly spoke again in the villa control room.

"They will realize soon."

Jinhai looked at the screen.

"What will they do then?"

Baby answered calmly.

"They will shut down the internet again."

Jinmei shook her head slowly.

"They touched something they couldn't hack."

Baby's voice remained steady.

"This is the result."

"It is a gift for them."

Inside the twins control room, the atmosphere was calm again.

The massive screens continued showing the government building, the waiting room, and several silent data channels moving across the world.

Long Jinmei watched the displays for a moment.

Then she asked quietly,

"What happens next?"

Baby answered without hesitation.

"The chain reaction has already spread."

Several new system windows appeared across the screen, showing how the uploaded files were moving silently through different networks.

"Before most governments realize what is happening…"

"…the data will already have spread worldwide."

Jinhai leaned back slowly in his chair.

"Will they trace it back here?"

Baby replied calmly.

"No."

"The pattern will look like a global cyber infection."

"Most cyber teams will assume it is a new type of virus."

Another screen displayed multiple international networks reacting to strange data transfers.

"They will investigate their own systems first,"

 Baby continued.

"They will not immediately suspect this country."

Jinmei folded her arms.

"And these officers?"

Baby's voice remained neutral.

"They will not admit their role."

"If they report the real cause…"

"…they will expose that they triggered the event themselves."

Jinhai gave a faint smile.

"So they will stay quiet."

"Yes."

Baby confirmed.

"For their own protection."

The screens now showed the observation hall again.

Officers were still standing around their desks.

They believed the situation had already been controlled.

"They will choose the safest path now," Baby continued.

"What path?" Jinmei asked.

"They will stop escalating the situation."

"They will complete the test."

"Record whatever results appear."

"And then quietly release your children."

Jinhai looked toward the waiting room screen.

Ten young men still sleeping peacefully.

Suriya still meditating quietly.

Baby finished its explanation.

"It is human psychology."

"When people realize they have touched something dangerous…"

"…their first instinct is to step away from it."

Jinmei watched the calm scene for several seconds.

Then she said softly,

"So they will send our children back home."

Baby replied simply.

"Yes."

The heavy door of the meeting room suddenly opened.

Several officers from the first floor operations center rushed inside. Their faces were pale, breathing slightly fast as if they had run all the way upstairs.

One of them spoke immediately.

"Sir… the documents are still uploading by themselves. We tried stopping it from our side, but nothing works."

The room instantly fell silent.

The superior officer slowly lifted his head.

His expression was stiff, almost frozen.

He had expected a problem.

But not something like this.

Another officer entered behind the first group, holding a tablet that kept flashing with incoming alerts.

"Sir… it's spreading outside our internal systems."

The superior frowned.

"What do you mean?"

The officer swallowed before answering.

"Individual devices that opened those files… their data is now uploading too."

He hesitated for a moment.

"And it is already going viral on social media."

Several officers in the room looked at each other in shock.

One senior member whispered under his breath,

"This is impossible…"

But before anyone could respond, the door opened again.

More officers rushed in from downstairs.

This time their expressions were even more serious.

One of them spoke while still catching his breath.

"Sir… we just received emergency notifications from international monitoring networks."

The superior stood up slowly.

"Report."

The officer looked around the room before speaking carefully.

"Multiple countries are reporting the same phenomenon."

The entire meeting room became completely silent.

The officer continued,

"Government databases… confidential archives… even classified systems…"

He paused.

"They are uploading information the same way."

Murmurs began spreading through the room.

Another officer whispered,

"This can't be happening…"

The reporting officer finished his explanation.

"Many cybersecurity teams believe this might be a new kind of virus."

"A virus that finds hidden or protected files…

and automatically uploads them."

Someone else added quietly,

"Most of the uploaded files contain… dark secrets."

The words hung heavily in the air.

Illegal operations.

Hidden deals.

Corrupt agreements.

Private archives that were never meant to be seen.

All of them were appearing online.

The superior slowly leaned back against the table.

For the first time since the investigation started, he looked completely speechless.

Around him, dozens of experienced officers—people who had handled major scandals, international crimes, and national security threats—now stood silently.

No one spoke.

No one even knew what to say.

The situation had grown far beyond a single scandal.

Far beyond an investigation.

And somewhere else in the building…

In the quiet waiting room…

Ten young men continued sleeping peacefully.

And Suriya remained sitting calmly on the sofa, her eyes closed in deep meditation.

None of them had moved even once.

The giant screens inside the meeting room showed the same peaceful scene.

Which only made the silence in the room even heavier.
