Chapter 1 - Chapter 0 — Prologue

Beyond the reach of the mortal sky… beyond the stars themselves… there existed a realm where time held no meaning.

The Realm of Gods.

An endless hall stretched across the heavens, floating among storms and cosmic light. Pillars carved from divine stone towered into the clouds, each engraved with the forgotten symbols of ancient civilizations.

At the center of it all stood a throne forged from thunder itself.

Upon it sat Zeus, the King of Olympus.

Before him floated the world of mortals—a fragile blue sphere drifting silently in the darkness.

Earth.

For thousands of years, the gods had watched humanity.

Empires rising.

Empires collapsing.

Wars fought in their names.

Prayers whispered in desperation.

And yet…

The King of Gods sighed.

"How painfully dull."

Lightning flickered around his throne as his voice echoed across the divine hall.

Behind him stood the silent silhouettes of the Olympians.

But this gathering was far greater than Olympus.

Across the hall stood gods from every corner of existence.

The cold gaze of Odin watched quietly from the northern shadows.

Beside him rested the thunder-wielding warrior Thor.

From the depths of cosmic stillness stood Shiva, whose presence alone carried both creation and destruction.

Dark laughter echoed faintly from the shadows where Loki leaned against a pillar.

Gods from forgotten pantheons… ancient civilizations… and worlds long erased from history filled the celestial hall.

All watching the mortal world below.

Zeus rose slowly from his throne.

Thunder rolled across the heavens.

"For ages, we have watched humanity struggle."

His hand gestured toward the floating world.

"They wage wars… believing we guide them."

"They pray… believing we care."

A faint smile formed on his face.

"But their struggles have grown predictable."

The hall remained silent.

Zeus turned toward the countless gods gathered before him.

"So I have decided something."

Lightning erupted behind him like a storm breaking open the sky.

"We will end their era."

The words sent a ripple across the divine assembly.

Zeus raised his hand, and the image of Earth darkened.

Oceans trembled.

Storms formed across continents.

Volcanoes stirred in their sleep.

"But extinction is dull."

His smile widened slowly.

"So instead…"

His voice echoed like thunder across eternity.

"…we will play."

The gods leaned forward slightly.

Zeus spread his arms.

"A game."

The heavens roared.

"A game where the entire world becomes the battlefield."

"No chosen heroes."

"No protected nations."

"Every human…"

Lightning shattered across the sky.

"…becomes a player."

Murmurs spread through the divine hall.

Zeus continued, his voice filled with cruel excitement.

"We will release beasts older than their myths."

"We will shatter their cities."

"We will grant fragments of divine power to those desperate enough to survive."

The floating image of Earth began to crack with golden light.

The beginning of something catastrophic.

"The rules are simple," Zeus said calmly.

"Survive."

"Adapt."

"Kill if necessary."

Thunder exploded across the heavens.

"Because the last survivors…"

His eyes burned with divine madness.

"…will inherit the world."

Silence fell across the hall.

Then slowly—

A grin appeared on the face of Loki.

Thor tightened his grip on his hammer in excitement.

Even the silent Odin watched with interest.

Only Shiva remained still… his expression unreadable.

Below them, billions of humans continued their ordinary lives.

They went to work.

They laughed.

They slept.

Completely unaware.

Because far above their world—

The gods had just begun their game.

And humanity…

was about to face its apocalypse.
