Guiying had chosen the scene himself, and he was determined to recreate it properly. He had watched the relevant part of Corpse Bride several times, paying attention to Emily's expressions and Victor's increasingly awkward attempts to explain himself. He did not want a generic Halloween skit; he wanted their performance to resemble the film.
The costumes were already prepared. Guiying wore Emily's blue wedding dress, complete with its tattered lace, veil and blue flowers. His blonde hair had been styled to resemble the character's pale, ghostly appearance, while the makeup artist had added the dark details around his eyes and the skeletal markings that completed the look.
Liuxian wore Victor's black wedding suit, with a white shirt and slightly dishevelled hair. He looked considerably more composed than the nervous groom he was supposed to portray, which Guiying had already complained about twice.
