Dinner ended quickly, and once the last dishes had been cleared from the table, Bai Feng and Gu Yanchen got up to leave. Ye Lianhua tried to make them stay a little longer, but Bai Feng had work the following morning and insisted that they should head home rather than keep his mother and father company until late.
