CHAPTER ONE
IN THE CASTLE OF THE KiNGDOM OF ALDOVIA
CATHERINE POV
i was staring out the window with so many thoughts in my head i couldn't help but imagine life outside the castle walls the gentle breeze would always make me daydream. i was thinking on how i will skip breakfast so i won't have to see prince Rahan, back when we were kid i and Rahan were good friends but we drifted ever since our fall out. i wasn't mad at him but i was avoiding him .... suddenly the door opened .
''my Princess his Highness calls for you at the royal dinning table '' snapping me out of Disney world …it was Maya and my father was calling me for breakfast my mind shoots me to Rahan.
''are the Ravenhurst on sit '' i asked curiously
''yes your Highness'' she replied i stood up reluctantly i could imagine why the whole royal family of Alderan would come to visit. i was wearing a yellow long sleeve dress the dinning had a long table and seated was my parent little sister and Alderan royal family i took my seat my gaze met Rahan he looked taller and handsome with his blonde hair which was very short Rahan has a cold personality.
His father was wearing a royal robe his mum wore a pink loose flowing dress made from cotton with a lot of assorseries queen Elsa was known for her expensive accessories. i actually envy her everything looks good on her i didn't feel like eating cause i lost my appetite i have been over thinking since Rahans arrival i realized Rahan was looking at me something smelt fishy i wanted to go to my room but i knew dad would not dismiss me just then my father and Rahan's father began to say jokes making each other laugh out loud i actually thought it was funny but i couldn't laugh i was gloomy i ate what my stomach could take and stood up
''i am done'' i said
''i am done too'' Rahan said standing up i knew my father would dismiss us which he did. i walked as fast as i could to enter my room but Rahan was faster with his long legs
''why are you avoiding me ''he asked holding my wrist
''i am not'' i argued his grip got tighter and my hand began to hurt
''Rahan…..you are hurting me'' He quickly let go of my hand obviously after he saw tears building up in my eye i quickly rushed to my room locking the door though i knew no male was allowed in the princess room consequences was death so he won't dare enter. i opened my window adding more light to my room the maids hadn't come to dress my bed yet.
He did knock and i made no attempt to open the door when the noise became unbearable i yelled.
''leave me alone ''the noise stopped it looked like he had gone suddenly the door knob opened it was my mum she had a spare key
'' mum'' i said
''why are you avoiding Rahan ''she asked disappointed
''when we fought he said mean things about you and dad '' i explained
'' well you have to forgive him'' she said
''i have….. i am just avoiding him ''i defended. ''Rahan just asked for your hand in marriage '' she said in a wave i felt like i was stabbed in the chest i wasn't that surprised i suspected it
''no i ….marry Rahan…'' i insisted i began to cry maybe she would change her mind she gave me a tight hug to console me
''please help me speak with dad'' i was in more tears
''i will '' she said and left then the door opened almost immediately it was Rahan i could tell cause of the papaya scent which i admired…why was i admiring his scent he disgusts me he must have told mom i locked the door she opened it and let him in
''Catherine '' he called what... are you happy now i thought he walked closer holding my chin up making us meet gazes i was so angry i felt like ripping his heart out.
'' How are you my beautiful wife to be'' he said with a nice smirk
'' i am never going...to be your wife'' i spat
''we will see '' ''he asked greedily
''we will ''i replied standing on my feet i stood up in attempt to leave the room i was heading to the garden then he held my hand where he had hurt but he was gentle this time he sighted my wound on my wrist
''did i do this to you my wife '' he laughed he was obviously mocking me and it made me mad he used his thumb to arranged my hair.
''don't touch me'' i protested but he didn't listen i was already boiling and my heart began to skip beats it all happened fast i used force to withdraw my hand before he could hold me i landed him a slap on his cheek and stormed out of the room i waited so long to do this my hand hurt a bit but it worth it i saw some guards looking at me they obviously knew what happened the slap must have echoed my heart beat pounded faster i scolded them for letting Rahan come in my room but i was told he had my mom permission. Then i saw my dad my vision became blurry i realized i was getting punishment for not eating last night
'' are you okay ''he asked
''yes i….''i fainted
'' guards'' was the last thing i heard before the darkness took me i remembered someone carried me nothing more. i later woke up i was in the royal clinic i saw oh no Rahan, queen Elsa, mum, dad and my little sister Zara oh no
''what happened'' i asked i already knew i had fainted just wanted to be precise
'' you fainted'' Zara my kid sister answered
'' are you okay '' my dad asked
'' don't worry am fine ''
'' shut up '' he yelled
'' you are irresponsible don't you know when to eat what kind of older sister are you can't even be a good role model to ur little sister its pointless speaking to you ''
my dad stormed out furiously holding my little sister by her hand as as to let mom talk to me but i have heard enough
''i would tell the maid to bring your food '' my mum offered
''i am not hungry '' i lied but my tummy didn't so it grumped in hunger
'' bring the food''she said along with the maid bringing the food Rahan and Queen Elsa walked in
''i am going to my room'' i stood up but my legs couldn't support me ,and i fell down but Rahan caught me mid way i would have protested but i needed his help.
Queen Elsa chatted with mom engrossed in their conversion Queen Elsa began to ask if am okay and how i was doing which was nice Rahan just sat next to me looking like he cared mum and Queen Elsa excused themselves to give me and Rahan privacy to talk i wanted to leave but i was also hungry and didn't have the strength to

'' soon it will be the other way around '' he threatened i was left speechless i touched my face it felt hot i have never been slapped even the thought of it hurt.
