Chapter 2 - Is Comfort Really Necessary?

After realizing that he was isekai'd he was frozen in place. He was left in a situation basically "impossible". But how did this happened?

 A dream.

 He thought.

-"???": This must be a dream, it must be. This is bullshit. This is nonsense. This is compeletly nonsense...

His voice was getting weaker and weaker. He didn't wanted to be noticed, to be noticed by the non humans. The non humans that where everywhere. His breathing became irregular by the extreme stress he was experiencing. This is a dream so why am I so scared he asked to himself.

 -"???": This... is... ba--...

He had fallen onto the ground.

 He had fainted...

 ...

 ...

 ...

 ...

A person who lived his entire life in modern era in Earth was compeletly dumbfounded in a situation like this. His comfort life had ended in a sudden. And his body used the oldest trick in the book. Fainting. After losing his comfort life to gain it again he had to do something. But in this situation there was nothing to do. Nothing. Then what he should've do to gain it back? Fainting. Escaping. Escaping from discomfort. But this escape was just nonsense because it was temporary. After waking up the discomfort was going go come again even more powerful than last time. Last time he felt cold, he was ill, his wallet wasn't around and he was in pain. How could he be sure things wouldn't be worse when he woke up? He could've feel even colder since his body wouldn't be moving by the time he was unconscious so he wouldn't be producing any body heat, his condition could have worsened while he was unconscious, let alone his wallet he could have lose his phone and glasses maybe even his clothes, his throat was sore even before he fainted so after waking up his sore throat could have worsened also after falling to the ground he could have gotten bruises or worse... Then why, why out of all the other choices he, his body chose this way to deal this problem. Why he had chosen this way over ACTUALLY solving the problem? Why did he chose this way of handling the problem? Because it was nonsense. Because it made no sense. Because it was complete bullshit. Because it was straigth up illogical choice.

But why it had to be logical though? Didn't everyone acted like this? Didn't people solved their problems when they were left with no other choice? Why would someone give effort to something now if they can solve it later? Wasn't it normal to continue our comfort as long as possible?

And in this exact situation the only way to continue that comfort was to sleep, to faint. The outcome of this choice might worsene the situation but who cares? He had dodged it for a while and its the only thing that matters now.

So with this he did the most humane thing possible. He escaped. But as a mere human he is he couldn't always escape. Then what is he going to do when that time comes?

 He will escape again.

 Again.

 Again.

 Again.

 Again.

 Again.

 And again...

 Until he dies.

Until he can't escape no more.

Until he leaves this world to go a place from his beliefs.

What was he going to do after waking up? He may be kidnapped. He may be even dead. The thing is a person from the modern era of Earth would choose death on discomfort. Humans were the most disgraceful creation of God.

 Then.

 Someone opened his eyes.

It was the lowest of the lowests. A human.

 -"???": Ahhhh.

 He wasn't feeling cold.

 He was feeling ill.

He wasn't sure where his stuff where.

 He was in pain.

He wasn't feeling cold because there was a thick blanket on him. He was feeling ill because he was ill and probably it progressed. His t-shirt and sweatpants were different. His whole body were in pain.

He checked around, there was his phone and glasses on a wooden nightstand next to his "bed". But more importantly he was in a room. He was in a room he never seen or been in before.

 -"???": I don't know this ceiling.
