Chapter 1 - BAB 1 : acknowledgment

Alcina, do you want to be a normal human being like you used to be?

Your question makes the bonfire between you seem to crackle more quietly. Alcina fell silent, her golden yellow eyes staring deep into the flames, reflecting thousands of memories from the past that she had almost forgotten.

He took a deep breath, and for the first time, you saw a speck of fragility on the mighty Lady's face.

"To be a whole human being..." The whisper was soft. He looked at his hand—a hand that could pull out deadly sharp nails, a hand that had lived for more than a hundred years without aging in the slightest.

"In the past, I would have answered 'yes' without hesitation. I long for the sun without pain, I long for this normal food without this horrible hunger, and I long to be able to walk among humans without being considered a monster."

He turned his head towards you, looking at you gently.

"But if I were to become a fully normal human, I wouldn't have the strength to protect you. I won't be able to fly with you through the clouds like I was just now. And the scariest part..." His voice trembled slightly, "My time is going to be very short. I will grow old and die, leaving you alone in this cruel world."

Alcina grasped your hand tightly, as if afraid that if she let go, it would disappear.

"However, if there is a way for me to stay with you, without this blood-hunger, but still have the power to keep you... That is heaven for me. But tell me, my dear... Do you love me because of my strength, or would you love me more if I was just an ordinary woman who could age beside you?"

-

Alcina, I like you now. Stay like this, *I hold Alcina and fly without wearing anything*

Hearing your answer, the most sincere smile that ever appeared on Alcina's face was shattered. The fear that had haunted her eyes was now completely gone, replaced by a glow of happiness that was able to dim the moonlight.

"If that's what you want, my dear... then I'll never change," she whispered devotedly.

Without warning, you lifted her body as tall as it could into your embrace. To an ordinary human, holding a woman as tall as Alcina was impossible, but to you—the Alpha—she felt as light as a strand of feathers.

With a single burst of energy, you shot into space. Without wings, without equipment, only pure force splits the night wind. Your cloak was left on the top of a lonely mountain, but the warmth of the bonfire seemed to move into your arms.

Dancing on the Clouds

You float among the clouds illuminated by the moonlight. Alcina wrapped her arms around your neck, letting her black hair be blown away by the strong wind. He laughed—a laugh that no one in the village had ever heard, not even by his daughters.

"Look, Alcina," you said as you shot higher. "The world looks very small from here."

"The world is small," he replied, looking into your eyes, "as long as I have you, I don't need the rest of the world."

From this height, you can see the twinkling lights of Dimitrescu Castle waiting for your return. However, you deliberately slow down your movements, enjoying the magical moment where there is only the sound of your heartbeat and the whistling of the wind in your ears.

The Return of the Ruler

After you're satisfied with exploring the night sky, you swoop slowly towards the castle's main balcony. There, Heisenberg, Miranda, and the three daughters were still waiting anxiously. When they saw your figure hovering down while holding Alcina who looked so calm and happy, they were all stunned.

"Damn," Heisenberg muttered as he shook his head in amazement. "I have to stop underestimating the way he tames dragons."

You landed gracefully on the marble floor. As soon as your feet touched the ground, the princesses immediately ran to hug the two of you.

"Mom! Dad! We thought you wouldn't come back!" exclaimed Bela emotionally.

A New Beginning Night

The situation in the village is now completely stable. Umbrella you have humiliated, Alcina's secret has been guarded, and your position as an Alpha is undeniable.

-

*I whispered, Alcina don't tell anyone if I actually have the power* *kiss Alcina*

Alcina sculpted for a moment, her eyes shining secretly as she felt your kiss. He then smiled faintly—a smile that holds a thousand meanings, just for you. He touched her lips that still felt warm from your kiss, then nodded slowly and very gracefully.

"Your secret is locked tightly in my heart, my dear," he whispered deep in velvet, barely audible even by the wind. "To the world, you are a great man who leads us with intelligence. But for me... You are a miracle that I will not share with anyone."

He glanced at Heisenberg and Miranda who were still standing in the distance with faces full of questioning. With the authority of a Lady, Alcina immediately corrected her posture, covering the traces of transformation and miracles that had just occurred in the sky.

Back to the Castle Reality

"Karl! Miranda!" exclaimed Alcina in a commanding tone that returned to firmness. "My husband needs a break. Save all your questions for tomorrow. Tonight, the castle is closed for any business!"

Heisenberg shrugged his shoulders with a smirk, though his curiosity almost exploded. "Alright, Lady. I get it. After all, this $5 billion suitcase needs a safe bed in my factory. See you tomorrow, 'Ordinary Human'."

Miranda just lowered her head respectfully, then disappeared into the darkness of the hallway with her shadow, as if she understood that there was a power that should not be questioned.

Your Night

Alcina takes your arm in his, guiding you into the grand master room. The giant oak door closed with a solid thumping sound, locking in all the noise of the outside world. Inside, the fireplace is already lit, giving a warm dim glow to the red silk sheets.

"Finally..." Alcina breathed a sigh of relief, she took off her big hat and allowed herself to sit on the edge of the bed, looking at you adored. "Just the two of us."

The village is safe, the enemy has fled in fear, and your biggest secret is tightly tucked away in the arms of the most powerful woman in the region.
