It was Jane's first time stepping out since she she came here. Looking at the 70s building and comparing it to the 21st century. The difference was world apart. As they walked through the street, they could feel the stares of people digging into them. They ignored it and walked to the post office where her father paid for the dispatch of the letter and left. Seeing the people dressed in clothes that have patches, she could not help but sigh on how meager the resources were and how the people are suffering. Thank God I have space, she said to herself.
Seeing that there was nothing much else to see, the family of three walked back home. They could feel the stares of people digging through them . Some where of pity, while some where ridicule. The family of three ignored them and were already home . Feeling exhausted they locked the door and entered the spatial space. After freshening up, they had sausage ,stir fried fern with cured meat,stored fried white cabbage with wood ear mushroom, potato stewed meat,spicy cabbage stir fried with meat and a white
cabbage soup to wash it down with.
After that they went to their respective rooms. Around 1 a.m in the morning the alarm sensor beeped and Jane hurriedly got up from the bed . Looking at the sneaky figures climbing the fence and getting into their house she smirked. After they got in, they dug a hole in the yard and buried letters , gold bars and other ornaments in the ground which will be used to frame them and quickly covered them with sand. As she watched them leave, she tailed them and watched them go into the house of Mr Houston, her father's rival. The house was a two story building . She nimbly climbed the rails and got in through the balcony of the study.
Mr Houston, with his big stomach looked like he is in his 50s as circling the study back and forth. The study looked plain but with her spatial eyes she could see that there are a lot of treasures hidden In this room. The minions finally opened the door to the study and greeted, "Boss we have done the job as you have ordered. Are you sure asked Mr Houston?, Yes they answered . He gave them an envelope filled with cash. The men upon feeling the weight of money inside grinned and let our few soft laughs" . "You can go now , he waved at them and make sure it is not traced to me unless , he made a throat cutting gesture and the men hurriedly nodded . Yes boss they said, let me see how they will escape this time around. The men left and Mr Houston went back to his bedroom.
Meanwhile,Jane tailed the two men, followed them to an alley and blew sleeping powder in the air while holding her breath. The two men immediately dropped like rags on the floor. She then searched them and collected the envelope filled with cash. After going through there pockets ,she dug out few yuan and industrial tickets which immediately went into her space. After that she beat them until they were totally unrecognizable,then she left the alleyway and went back to Mr Houston's house to dig out treasures.When she got to the house, she slid in through the window and blew the sleeping powder in the air. After waiting for few seconds ,she went to the study. Everything looked organized but she knew that there is more to the eyes and everything here is a camouflage. She opened the drawers and found nothing but ordinary documents. Then she shifted the vase and the secret door opened. Rows of boxes were piled up. As she opened them, she was was blinded by the golden lights from them. Her eyes lit up and with a swipe of her fingers, it disappeared into her space. Both the paintings, jade ,gold bricks and ten thousand yuan in cash. She did not leave a cent behind for them.
Then she went to each of their rooms and took away every valuables she could find, including their clothes. She then went to Mr Houston's room and moved around the room. She tapped at the wall and heard a hollow sound"Dong Dong Dong". She moved the paintings and a creak sound was heard. She was blinded by the amount of gold ,jade and paintings she saw. With a wave of her hand everything disappeared right into her space. She muttered to herself "This is compensation to my stress and mental health". After that she placed the paintings in its original position. She then walked to the bed rolled the hefty Mr Houston who was lying like a log and snoring like a pig due to the effects of the sleeping powder which can knock out a cow. She pinched and punched him until his face was swollen,she then got a hockey stick and broke both his legs. As for his wife, she pinched her too, went to their wardrobe and collected all their clothes leaving nothing behind for them.
She did same for his son's and daughter -in-laws ,sparing no one and leaving nothing behind for them. Finally she swaggered out of their house and under the cover of the night, she returned back home. On getting home, she dug out all that was buried and returned the soil back to it's normal position and she went to bed. Feeling happy from all she has gotten she smiled in her sleep
