The rain clouds had been gathering silently above the stadium as Li wei entering the stadium and cold and chill winds are coming over the stadium.

Dark and heavy clouds are passing over the stadium with cols winds as if waiting to pour down.

Li Wei ran across the grass, heart pounding because it was his first match in the season and not well adapted to the match and squad.

The ball moved quickly through midfield.

Roger Colomina, the playmaker, spotted him immediately and forward the ball with a light curve from the central position to the left.

"Number 17! Run!"

Adrián slipped a pass forward.

Li Wei sprinted through the midfielder with the dribble and moving forward with the ball while his head rotate around to see the players.

The defenders rushed toward him.

His mind raced.

This is it.

My chance.

My first moment.

The crowd's noise grew louder.

"Li Wei has the ball!" the commentator shouted.

"Let's see what the young substitute can do!"

A Teruel defender lunged.

Li Wei pushed the ball forward and tried to accelerate the sprint while dribbling the ball with a lot in his mind.

But suddenly—

CRACK.

A sharp pain exploded through his ankle.

"AAHHH! shit " frowned in his mind because of the pain in the ankle as tried to sprint faster than before to not caught by the defender of the teruel.

His body lost balance as the ball lost from his legs and his body was slowly bending towards the ground as he lost control on his body and then

He crashed onto the grass.

The ball rolled away.

The stadium gasped.

"OH NO!"

"Li Wei is down! and we can see that the new youngster who came after substitute was crashed on ground we pray that there was no more injuries in this match" commentator with loud pitch of his voice.

"Just ten minutes after entering the match! and he crashed to the ground " another commentator.

The referee blew the whistle.

Players gathered around him to see how much the injury was and also to help him to stand up from the ground.

But Li Wei barely heard anything.

Pain.

Burning pain surged through his leg.

His hands gripped the wet grass on the ground and not screaming but controlling the pain because this is the only chance he got after 14 matches so want to fully utilize this no matter what.

Then—

The sky opened the dark clods over the stadium slowly began falling down the stadium.

Rain began to fall.

Slow.

Cold.

Droplets touching his face.

The stadium lights blurred through the water in his eyes.

Fans' voices echoed faintly.

"Poor kid…"

"He just came on…" another fan

"What terrible luck…" another fan

The commentators spoke softly now.

"This is heartbreaking."

"A debut that ends in injury…"

Li Wei lay on the field staring up at the dark sky with his hand touching his forehead with slowly grasping the situation.

Rain hit his cheeks like tears.

Inside his chest something broke as he was injured in his first match not even 10 minutes on the pitch with the ball.

Is this… the end?

Memories flashed in his mind as this is going to be end of his life.

A small boy kicking a worn football on a dusty street and seeing his father after the kicking the football with twinkling eyes in his face for appreciation.

His father watching proudly seeing his son passion for football from very young age.

Then the small boy took the worn football went to his father to say something with full of confidence on his face with determination.

"One day I'll become a football superstar."

But now?

Third division.

First match.

Injury.

His dream felt like shattered glass broken into tiny parts that was never going to stick together.

Li Wei clenched his fists weakly laying on the ground while seeing the rain falling from the sky with broken smile on his face and His voice was barely a whisper.

"…Maybe… this life isn't meant for me… should i give up to become football star or is there any miracle will happen in my ." with small smile in his face.

The rain grew heavier.

Thunder rolled in the distance.

And then—

DING.

A strange metallic sound echoed inside his head as someone was speaking from inside his head .

Li Wei frowned.

What…?

Another sound followed.

DING.

Suddenly—

A faint blue light appeared before his eyes.

At first he thought it was the stadium lights reflecting in the rain. so he don't take it seriously as he was already in very dire situation but then,

But the light grew clearer.

Sharper.

Until—

A transparent screen appeared floating in the air in front of him.

Li Wei's eyes widened in shock.

"…What is this…?"

The screen flickered.

Then lines of glowing text appeared.

As if some unknown system had just awakened.

And the rain continued falling around the fallen player on the field.

But something had just changed.

Something that would rewrite his entire destiny that he was unaware.

At this point his life will have so many twists and turns with unlimited challenges he was going to face in future but at this movement he was not aware of this.
