Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: I Want to Be a Good Person

"Come on, Red."

Peter beckoned toward 'Radiation' with a hooked finger.

"Let me see, where is your limit?"

"Roar!!!"

Seeing Peter revert to his Platinum Form, 'Radiation' immediately recalled the fear of having his palm severed by that overpowered hand blade.

That unpleasant sensation stimulated him into hissing on the spot.

With a roar, he charged toward Peter.

At a glance, it was a standard 'Aleksei' style Rhino Charge.

If not for the fact that switching to Earth Form would prevent him from using Lightning Release Armor, Peter really wanted to use an Earth Style: Mud Wall to see just how hard this guy's head was.

But for now, he could only temporarily abandon that plan.

Thinking this, Peter didn't choose to use his speed advantage to avoid the brunt of the attack; instead, he planned to go head-to-head for a couple of rounds to get a feel for it.

After all, since he had unlocked Lightning Release Chakra Mode, he hadn't actually tried fighting an opponent at full strength yet.

With that in mind, Peter didn't dodge or evade. Instead, he opened his arms toward the charging Radiation.

Boom!

Under Tony's slightly shocked gaze...

Peter spread his arms and actually caught Radiation's charging massive head without flinching.

His body was pushed back several meters by Radiation's violent power, and his feet once again carved two deep furrows into the ground.

Just as Tony was lamenting that Peter was being too reckless, Peter had already stabilized himself.

Following that... "Up you go!"

With a loud shout from Peter, he actually lifted all of Radiation up under Tony's dumbfounded gaze.

And then... Liger Bomb!

Peter hoisted Radiation up and slammed him head-first onto the ground below in a pile-driver position.

Boom!

The ground shook violently, and a massive crater over a hundred meters wide and a meter or two deep instantly appeared.

The surrounding shops collapsed one after another in the terrifying tremors.

Holy cow!

Abomination, who was fighting Hulk, was also affected by the terrifying vibration. He fell onto his butt, giving Hulk an opening.

Had it been any other enemy, they would have been electrocuted into charcoal on the spot after taking Peter's Liger Bomb.

But because 'Radiation' had absorbed too much energy from Hulk...

He actually recovered quickly, though his physique had visibly shrunk by a large margin.

Clearly, Peter's guess was correct.

As long as the gamma radiation energy inside him was depleted, Aleksei should be able to regain control over his body.

Thinking this, Peter glanced at the two dark-green giants nearby still waiting for him to deal with them and decided not to hold back anymore.

He didn't give 'Radiation' any chance to catch his breath.

He began a rapid assault around Radiation.

Lightning Fist, Lightning Kick, Lightning Release Rasengan... all sorts of moves imbued with lightning power were rained down on 'Radiation' as if they cost nothing.

Tony watched the red-skinned monster being suppressed by Peter with no power to fight back, feeling his scalp tingle and his eyelids twitch.

The Mark armor he was so proud of was as fragile as a soda can before this red monster.

Yet Peter could beat this monster so badly it couldn't even strike back.

Tsk~

Could it be that science is destined to be no match for magic?

While marveling at Peter's power, Tony couldn't help but feel a bit of competitive spirit.

After this, he would also develop a set of super armor specifically targeting these giant monsters.

As for Peter...

After some hesitation, Tony ultimately gave up on the idea of developing a suit that could suppress Peter.

Given the speed and strength Peter displayed, he likely wouldn't be able to develop a so-called 'Anti-Peter Armor' in this lifetime.

Even if he did develop such armor based on the abilities shown now, there was a high probability Peter would slap his face with other abilities later.

For an existence like Peter, being friends with him was the only wise choice!

With Peter's frantic offensive, the Gamma energy inside 'Radiation' was also rapidly draining.

Peter's strength was already formidable, and the piercing sound of electricity whenever the lightning hit him made it even harder for Radiation to maintain control of the body.

He had to spend more energy just to ensure he didn't detach from Aleksei.

This caused the energy consumption within him to become even faster.

'Radiation' could clearly feel himself becoming weaker and weaker.

Sensing the situation was turning south, 'Radiation' subconsciously cast his gaze toward the distant Hulk.

He had to 'feed'!

Absorb more energy from him, or even just eat him!

With that thought, Radiation let out a wild roar. He suddenly abandoned his defensive stance and charged recklessly toward Hulk.

This sudden movement even caused Peter to lose focus for a split second.

Peter, reacting, was about to rush up to intercept him, only to find the red Symbiote—whose size had shrunk by nearly half—actually tripped over his own feet and stumbled.

Immediately after, Peter heard Aleksei's muffled voice from within the red monster:

"You... rest!"

"Aleksei wants to be a good person!"

"Aleksei promised The Punisher!"

Hearing Aleksei's words, Peter—who had been hesitating whether to finish off the red Symbiote and Aleksei together—instantly made up his mind.

This simpleton was already prepared to repent.

He had no reason to stop someone from trying to be a good person, right?

In fact, the Rhino in the original works wasn't really a bad guy.

In the original story, after receiving help from Spider-Man and successfully removing that polymer skin, he had already decided to be a good person.

If not for the 'Friendly Neighborhood' Peter's saintly complex causing the second-generation Rhino to kill Aleksei's wife, he wouldn't have turned dark again.

Later in the Ultimate Spider-Man plot, he was also constantly oscillating between being a good guy and a bad guy.

Every time he resolved to be a good person, he ended up getting hurt because of the 'Friendly Neighborhood' hero's saintly complex.

Among the many villains, he was the one most miserably screwed over by Spider-Man.

"In that case, I'll help you again!"

Since he had decided to give Aleksei a chance to turn over a new leaf...

Peter no longer hesitated.

He burst forth with his maximum speed, flickering in front of Radiation, and reached out with a claw-like hand toward Radiation's chest.

With this movement and the influence of the blinding lightning, Radiation's chest was instantly torn open by Peter, creating a massive gap.

It revealed Aleksei struggling within.

Peter glanced at this simple but promise-keeping man and pressed his hand against his chest.

As the healing power of the horse talisman took effect, Aleksei's mind, which had been groggy from the gamma radiations, instantly cleared.

Meanwhile, Radiation was rapidly weakened by the horse talisman and soon returned to its normal size.

"Get back in!"

With a loud shout from Aleksei, Radiation completely retracted back into Aleksei's body.

A crisis was thus resolved into nothingness.
