Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Still Overpowered in the Hand Blade Department

Hum!

As Peter issued the teleportation command in his mind,

a magnificent purple magic circle instantly expanded beneath Peter's feet. Complex runes spun rapidly, emitting waves of powerful spatial fluctuations.

On the distant streets of London, the Sorcerer Ancient One, who was attempting to hunt down the traitor Kaecilius, couldn't help but be taken aback.

Spatial fluctuations different from Kamar-Taj magic?

Where did this promising talent pop up from?

The Ancient One intended to check the source of those energy fluctuations.

But unfortunately, Kaecilius was clearly the bigger problem right now. She could only suppress the thought and focus on dealing with Kaecilius and his lackeys... New York, Brooklyn.

The once incredibly prosperous commercial street was now in utter chaos.

On the street, the Hulk was being pinned to the ground and pummeled by the Abomination.

Not far from the two of them, a massive body covered in blood-red matter was trembling violently while tightly clutching Felicia's body.

No matter how Tony and Gwen attacked it from the side, it remained unmoved.

It was strange, to say the least.

Given his current size, crushing Felicia—whose physical stats were only slightly better than an ordinary person's—shouldn't have been a problem.

But for some reason, even though he already had Felicia in his grasp and she was scratching and struggling against him, he hesitated to take her life.

Gwen, who was relatively close to the big red guy, could vaguely hear what sounded like an argument:

"You can't!...He said no more killing."

"Shut up! If we don't kill her, we'll all die!"

Listening to the big red guy's intermittent "self-muttering," Gwen suddenly realized something and shouted at the red monster:

"Aleksei? You're Aleksei, right?"

Hearing Gwen's shout, the red monster's body shuddered for no apparent reason.

A moment later, the monster suddenly reached out with its other free hand and clawed fiercely at its own face.

Rip!

With the red monster's violent tearing, a hole was ripped into its face, revealing half the face of a simple-looking man. It was indeed "Rhino," Aleksei!

As for why Aleksei was here... it all started when Carlton caused a Riot at Rykers Island Prison... Uh, never mind, let's just get to the point.

Long story short: just like how the fragments Venom left in prison in Venom 2 gave birth to Carnage,

the body fragments Riot left behind when he previously threatened Aleksei also happened to crawl into Aleksei's body through his wounds, cultivating a brand-new second-generation Symbiote, "Radiation"!

Because Aleksei had undergone radioactive experiments, "Radiation" was naturally resistant to high temperatures and had the ability to strengthen itself by absorbing Radiation energy.

Although "Radiation's" personality was somewhat unstable, influenced by Aleksei's determination to be a good person, their previous coexistence had been relatively peaceful.

Even though Aleksei never let "Radiation" eat people, the creature could barely survive on the excess nutrients in Aleksei's body.

But the problem started tonight, with the massive battle between the Hulk and the Abomination.

The exceptionally active gamma radiation energy in their bodies during transformation was undetectable to ordinary people, but to "Radiation," it was a top-tier feast.

Having been starved for nearly half a month, Radiation suddenly felt this top-tier energy. It felt like a drug addict who had quit for half a month suddenly smelling opium... Starving and crazed, "Radiation" had completely lost the ability to think.

It rushed straight out of Rykers Island Prison and intervened in the fight between the Hulk and the Abomination.

This was also why the Hulk was being pinned and beaten by the Abomination.

The starving "Radiation" backstabbed the Hulk, greedily absorbing the Gamma energy within him.

It sucked away almost all the strength the Hulk had drawn from his rage.

This was why "Radiation" had become so massive and why it was going berserk.

Having absorbed most of the energy in the Hulk's body in one go, that angry emotion naturally influenced its thought process as well.

Now "high" on energy, "Radiation" saw everyone as an enemy.

Especially Felicia, whose singing was comparable to a high-frequency sonic attack; in its eyes, she was an ultra-high-threat unit!

If it weren't for Aleksei, who had been determined to be good after being warned by Peter, Felicia would have likely perished long ago.

Having finally regained control of his body for a moment thanks to Gwen's call, Aleksei looked at her, his eyes filled with pleading:

"Ghost... help me, Alek... be good person..."

Aleksei had only managed to stammer out a few words before the red matter covered his face again, letting out a piercing roar:

"Idiot, you don't understand anything! They are all threats!"

Having reclaimed control, "Radiation" roared in anger and prepared to crush Felicia to death in its hand.

As the pressure from its hand increased, Felicia let out a muffled groan, a trickle of blood escaping the corner of her mouth.

Am I going to die... Felicia felt her vision begin to blur; she couldn't even clearly see the red monster anymore.

At the moment she was about to lose consciousness, Peter's warm, smiling face appeared before her eyes.

What a shame; it seems there are some things I'll never have the chance to say... "No!"

Gwen rushed forward recklessly, exerting all her strength to pry open "Radiation's" fingers, trying to secure a slim chance of survival for Felicia.

But "Radiation," having absorbed a massive amount of energy from the Hulk, now possessed a strength level that even surpassed the Hulk in his normal state.

How could it possibly let Gwen succeed?

Even with Tony assisting from the side, it seemed impossible to rewrite the ending of Felicia's death.

Just as everyone's hearts couldn't help but begin to sink to rock bottom.

A purple light suddenly emerged out of thin air on Felicia's body!

The light formed a gentle shield around Felicia's body, even making the dying girl feel slightly better.

What is this? A final surge of life before death?

In her daze, Felicia seemed to truly see Peter's figure.

Looking at that "somewhat unreal" figure, she couldn't help but let out a soft murmur:

"Peter, I..."

Zzzzt!

The piercing sound of electricity was like a thousand baby birds chirping together.

A masked man wearing a golden cloak appeared out of thin air. Dazzling lightning lit up his palm as he slashed at the red monster's wrist.

Under the stunned gazes of Gwen and Tony, the red monster's mountain-like, immovable hand was actually severed at the wrist by the newcomer's Overpowered Hand Blade!

The severed hand, along with Felicia trapped inside, fell toward the ground.

Before they could hit the ground, a pair of warm arms caught Felicia steadily:

"If you have something to say, why don't we wait until I've settled these troubles before talking?"

The gentle voice sounded in Felicia's ear. A hazy white light enveloped her slender body, even purifying the remaining red fragments on her fingertips into a pure white color...
