Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Please Call Me Daisy

After helping Herman and Aaron complete the lizard serum injections, Peter similarly did not give the two of them Symbiote suits.

Herman's role here was that of a technician, and he didn't need to participate in combat; this level of power was already enough for him to protect himself.

As for Aaron, Peter still had some concerns about the kid's loyalty.

Besides, giving so many abilities right from the start—what if the employees' appetites grew too large?

He didn't want to raise a bunch of ungrateful ingrates... After the two of them excitedly went off to experience their new powers, Peter then looked at William and spoke:

"William, your genes have already completely fused with sand, so the lizard serum is useless for you. I won't arrange that for you."

"However, as compensation, I can grant you another power."

Saying this, Peter entered Symbiote mode again, splitting off a small piece of the Symbiote that burrowed into William's body.

Before long, an earth-yellow Symbiote suit appeared on his body.

William's body was already composed of sand; now, this Symbiote suit directly bonded the sand tightly together, which indirectly helped William overcome his weakness to water.

Although a giant body formed by gathering sand would still be dispersed by water flow.

But with the Symbiote suit, his body's core would no longer fear being completely destroyed by falling into water for a long time.

Although William wasn't well-educated, he knew exactly what this power meant for him, and immediately knelt on one knee before Peter in excitement.

"Thank you, Boss!"

"Get up, we're all on the same side. You and Aleksei helping me take good care of Uncle Ben and Aunt May in the future is the best way to repay me."

Peter helped William up and then looked at the burly Aleksei.

"As for you, Aleksei..."

As Peter spoke, a terrifying aura instantly locked onto Aleksei. This pressure, originating from the level of life itself, caused the Radiation hidden within him to emerge uncontrollably.

"You, listen up." Peter grabbed the Radiation without hesitation and warned in the Symbiote's signature raspy voice:

"Behave yourself from now on and cooperate well with Aleksei, otherwise..."

Peter grinned, revealing a hideous smile full of sharp teeth.

"I'll eat you and find Aleksei a new partner."

!!!

Feeling the terrifying power coming from Peter, "Radiation" was nearly scared witless, nodding frantically with a pitiful look, indicating it would never dare have any ulterior motives.

Although it didn't know why Peter, who had previously taught it a harsh lesson, had suddenly become a Symbiote, it was certain that this guy was far more powerful than itself!

It had no doubt that if it dared to court death again, it really would be eaten as a snack!

"Very good!" He casually tossed "Radiation" back into Aleksei's body.

Feeling the "Radiation" become more docile than ever, a simple, honest smile appeared on Aleksei's face:

"Thank you, Boss! Aleksei will definitely work hard to be a good person from now on!"

"Mm, from now on, William is your big brother. Just do whatever he and I tell you to do. Don't worry, we won't harm you."

Peter gave Aleksei a simple instruction he could understand with a smile.

If possible, he quite wanted to help Aleksei find his wife from the original story.

But unfortunately, Peter didn't remember the names of such minor characters at all, so he could only rely on Aleksei's own luck in love.

After dealing with the four members of his Fist of Shadow, Peter's gaze finally landed on Skye.

At this moment, the Chinese-American girl's face was full of anticipation, her large eyes blinking at Peter.

Seeing her cute appearance, Peter couldn't help but find it a bit amusing:

"Come with me."

Skye's eyes lit up, and she immediately followed Peter out of the office with a mix of anticipation and nervousness.

"Skye, I'm not going to give you either the lizard serum or a Symbiote suit."

Hearing this, the expectation on Skye's face instantly collapsed, and her eyes were filled with disappointment.

"Don't misunderstand, it's not that I don't trust you," Peter gently stroked Skye's hair as if petting a cat:

"On the contrary, of everyone in the Fist of Shadow, I have the highest expectations for you."

"Remember what I told you? There is a mysterious power hidden within your body."

"This power itself is not inferior to a Symbiote suit or the lizard serum, and I have already mastered the method to help you awaken it."

Peter briefly mentioned the terrigen crystals to Skye:

"Because of your uniqueness, giving you these powers now would only be superfluous and affect your future potential."

Peter's words were absolutely sincere.

In the original TV series, Skye was just a rookie, and even while sharing a single Terrigen Crystal with two others, she could become Quake with impressive power.

This was enough to prove Skye's outstanding talent among the Inhumans.

Even though she was only a non-pureblood Inhuman, if her physical body could be developed to a certain extent first, and then she enjoyed a whole Terrigen Crystal...

Peter estimated she might become an existence second only to Black Bolt, or even completely surpass him!

After all, Black Bolt's sonic waves can only be launched from his mouth.

But Skye, her power of vibration can be released from all over her body!

It could be said that as long as Skye's ability could be developed to a higher level, she could completely do what Whitebeard did in the Pirate King—triggering earthquakes at will, or even air Quakes similar to spatial fractures!

"To allow you to have a higher ceiling, I plan to send you to S.H.I.E.L.D. to receive systematic Agent training."

"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Level 8 Agent Maria Hill will be your teacher. Additionally, if you have free time, you can also look for Captain America and learn more combat techniques from him..."

As Peter explained the arrangements he had made for Skye and his intention for her to become his right-hand person in S.H.I.E.L.D.

The small knot in Skye's heart instantly vanished.

Not only did she no longer feel Peter was being biased, but she also felt an unprecedented warmth because of Peter's favoritism toward her.

After all, she was a child who grew up in an orphanage and preferred living on the streets as a hacker at a young age rather than staying in foster homes.

For a girl like her who had lacked love since childhood, even the slightest bit of kindness would be remembered in her heart for a long time.

There are even many people who, because of the loss of such attention, would turn love into hate and transform into super yanderes.

And now, what Peter was giving was far more than just a little kindness.

This feeling of being expected and trusted was something Skye had never felt in the past seventeen years.

Because of this, the little girl's eyes moistened on the spot.

She couldn't help but throw herself into Peter's arms, her voice sobbing yet firm:

"Boss, I will definitely study hard and strive to help you take over all of S.H.I.E.L.D.! I definitely won't let you down!"

Feeling Skye's still slightly trembling body, Peter gently patted the girl's back:

"Don't put so much pressure on yourself, just do your best. You don't have to call me Boss anymore; just call me Peter."

Skye, huddled in Peter's arms, didn't speak for a long while. After a long time, she asked tentatively:

"Then... Brother Peter, from now on... can you call me Daisy?"

Skye was just a pseudonym she gave herself for disguise; Daisy was her real name.

The little girl's hope for Peter to call her by her real name carried a deep meaning that was self-evident...
