Chapter 2 - Green Light Douluo (18+) Edition (Part 2)

Chapter 2: Hunting Soul Beasts

The next day.

Tang Yin woke up, opening his eyes after a night of cultivation.

He spread his hands.

Two clumps of green Soul Power appeared in his palms.

"Even though I haven't broken through to level eleven, I feel much stronger than yesterday. Indeed, accumulating Soul Power is the right move."

In this world, most soul masters, once they break through to level ten, are eager to absorb a Soul Ring to advance to the next level.

This is a very common phenomenon.

However, some powerful and experienced soul masters know to accumulate Soul Power, consolidate their realm, and nourish their bodies to make their physique even stronger before absorbing a Soul Ring.

This way, the lifespan of the Soul Ring one could withstand would become greater.

For example, Tang Hao.

There were several reasons for his strength.

This was one of them.

"Xiao Yin, we should go."

At this moment.

Tang Hao, looking disheveled, walked out of the room.

He covered himself with a cloak and held a bundle in his hand.

He walked up to Tang Yin and tossed the bundle towards him.

Tang Yin reached out to catch it, feigning confusion as he asked, "Father, are we just leaving like this? What about Third Brother?"

Tang Yin was a little older than Tang San.

That's why he was used to calling him Third Brother.

Now that he was going to disguise himself, relying on Tang Hao to help him get stronger,

he had to make sure Tang Hao couldn't see a single flaw.

As for the title of father, it was just a name, it wouldn't hurt him, and as everyone knew, those who became a father usually didn't end well.

Hearing this, Tang Hao glanced in the direction of Notting Academy and said in a low voice, "He will be taken care of. Don't worry."

"Now, let's go get your first Soul Ring, then we'll go see him. After that, we need to get going."

"Yes, Father. I understand."

Tang Yin clasped his hands in a salute, accepting the order.

He picked up his bundle and put it on himself, then followed behind Tang Hao, leaving Holy Soul Village, where he had lived for six years.

On the road.

Although Tang Hao walked ahead, his back facing his adopted son, Tang Yin.

Everything Tang Yin did did not escape his perception.

Tang Hao took a swig of alcohol, his voice a bit raspy. "Little Yin, aren't you going to ask what I'm planning, why I brought you and not Little San?"

Tang Yin shook his little head. "You saved my life, Father. Whatever you want to do, I'll follow you without hesitation."

"Just like I know you've been training me these past few days to make me stronger in the future."

"You wouldn't hurt me, right, Father?"

Hearing Tang Yin's final "You wouldn't hurt me, right," Tang Hao's body suddenly paused.

He thought of his adopted son, who had been so understanding since childhood.

And the cruel "training" he'd put him through these past few days.

He said coldly, "Follow me."

Now, he didn't have a shred of softness left.

To revive Ah Yin, he could become a villain.

Tang Yin heard this.

Looking at Tang Hao in front of him, he sneered inwardly.

One day, he would let his adoptive father know.

A true man, born between heaven and earth, how could he be suppressed and live under others for long?

Who was using whom was still uncertain.

Moreover, with the Green Light System on him, the insignificant Tang Hao would only become a plaything for him. His adoptive mother, Ah Yin, he had decided to have, and even Jesus couldn't stop him.

Then he saw Tang Hao's figure quickly disappear from sight.

He lifted his legs and mustered his strength to run forward.

He was only six years old now, and his body wasn't tall.

Fortunately, he had been subjected to grueling training these days, so his stamina had improved quite a bit.

But after running quickly behind Tang Hao for an hour, he was panting.

And if it weren't for the nourishment of his [G] Soul Power, he wouldn't have been able to run so far at all.

But Tang Hao in front of him obviously had no intention of stopping.

He could only grit his teeth and persevere, continuing to follow behind Tang Hao.

Even if he was tired, he could only grit his teeth.

Because he knew.

Once he stopped, he wouldn't escape Tang Hao's "harsh training."

That's how he'd spent these days.

Every day, he was either running around Holy Soul Village with stones on his back, or being thrown by Tang Hao into places where Soul Beasts were, fighting with them. He had almost been killed by Soul Beasts several times.

He was very grateful to Tang Hao.

Because this kind of brutal training could make him stronger.

But now.

He had no affection for his adoptive father, Tang Hao, whatsoever.

In the future, if he had the chance, he wouldn't hesitate to act.

To kill him.

As dusk arrived.

Tang Yin found himself following Tang Hao into a forest.

Tang Hao stood in front.

Seeing his adopted son, Tang Yin, panting as he caught up, he walked over and said:

"This is a Soul Beast forest. There are many Hundred-Year Soul Beasts inside, and even Thousand-Year Soul Beasts in the depths."

"I want you to kill a Soul Beast of at least a hundred years old here."

"If you can't meet my requirements, then fend for yourself inside."

"Also, I'll be watching you from the shadows. I'll only help you when you encounter a Soul Beast of a hundred years or more. You're on your own for the rest."

"This is your weapon."

After saying that, Tang Hao tossed a dagger to his adopted son, Tang Yin.

Tang Yin caught the dagger. It looked quite sharp. Without hesitation, he clasped his hands in a gesture of respect and said, "Don't worry, Father. Your son will not disappoint you."

"Mhm." Tang Hao nodded in satisfaction.

He knew his adopted son's character well.

Always acted so decisively, never dragging things out or speaking nonsense.

"Survive."

Tang Hao patted Tang Yin on the shoulder.

Leaving behind this sentence with a hint of concern, he disappeared before Tang Yin.

Seeing Tang Hao leave.

Tang Yin knew that Tang Hao's words just now were all nonsense.

Now he was Tang Hao's only hope for reviving Ah Yin.

Tang Hao wouldn't let anything happen to him.

However, Tang Hao was secretly watching him, and he didn't doubt this.

Now that he had come to this wild Soul Beast forest, he could take advantage of Tang Hao's protection to desperately improve himself and become stronger.

He calmed his mind and focused.

Tang Yin didn't rush in blindly at this moment.

He looked around and saw many Blue Silver Grass. He then summoned his Green Light Martial Soul and released the growth-inducing green light onto the Blue Silver Grass.

Under the effect of the growth-inducing green light.

Soon, this thumb-sized Blue Silver Grass grew to the thickness of an arm.

And this Blue Silver Grass already had ten years of cultivation.

This is the ability of the Green Light Martial Soul.

Then, after continuously sprouting several Blue Silver Grass, he stopped.

These Blue Silver Grass, after his urging, could be controlled by him and could also become his eyes for his use.

He was only six years old now.

It was very difficult to kill a Hundred-Year Soul Beast.

It was even as difficult as ascending to the heavens.

If it were an ordinary six-year-old child, even a Ten-Year Soul Beast could tear him apart.

But he didn't give up.

Opportunities are found, and even more so, fought for.

Moreover, after these days of brutal training by Tang Hao, he had a new understanding of his own strength.

And he had also killed quite a few Soul Beasts.

He was confident.

Next.

He began to prepare some traps in the forest for hunting Soul Beasts, and also cultivated some poisonous plants and vines, waiting for them to become ten-year Soul Beasts to act as his assistants.

After finishing all of this.

He gripped the dagger tightly and officially entered the forest.

Pfft.

Not long after walking, Tang Yin encountered a few weak Soul Beasts. Holding his dagger, he leaped and landed behind the Soul Beasts. Before they could react, he swiftly and cleanly stabbed them in the neck, killing them.

Then, he dragged the dead Soul Beasts to the location where he had set the trap.

He sprinkled the Soul Beasts' blood around the area, and the corpses were soaked in the liquid from the poisonous vines. This was to attract other Soul Beasts.

To be safe, he found more poisonous vines nearby, releasing Green Light to control them, turning them into a trap for ambush.

After doing everything, he quickly concealed himself and waited.

Awoo!

It didn't take long.

A series of wolf howls echoed from the nearby hillside.

Hidden in the grass, Tang Yin relied on the Blue Silver Grass he had previously cultivated, along with some vines, to clearly sense seven wolves gathering on the hillside a few dozen meters away from him.

These wolves were all ten-year Soul Beasts.

They were obviously attracted by the smell of blood.

If it were only one or two acting alone, he was confident he could quickly kill them, without even getting hurt.

But it was difficult with seven or eight.

And there was a leading boss.

Judging by its size, the depth of its fur color, and the aura it emitted, this was a Hundred-Year Soul Beast.

A Hundred-Year Soul Beast's Soul Skill posed a significant threat to a six-year-old child, enough to kill him with a single blow.

But he wasn't afraid at all.

When he saw the wolves arrive at the Soul Beast's corpse, he concealed his aura and slowly approached the few wolves that were eating.

At this moment.

Hidden in the shadows and observing Tang Yin, Tang Hao frowned when he saw his adopted son was actually trying to take on seven enemies alone.

Earlier, the Soul Beasts he had caught were only twenty or thirty years old, which Tang Yin could easily kill with his skills and Soul Power support.

But a Hundred-Year Soul Beast wasn't that simple.

Just as Tang Yin thought.

Tang Hao would never let him die.

After all, he was Tang Hao's only hope of reviving Ah Yin.

"Let's see," Tang Hao said, observing.

His goal was to test his adopted son.

At this moment, Tang Yin had gotten within ten meters of the wolf pack.

He hid behind a tree, his body shrouded in green light, which concealed his aura, making him undetectable to the wolves, like a blade of grass.

Next.

He unleashed his Green Light Martial Soul, controlling those poisonous vines to lash out at the pack of wolves.

The wolves, currently tearing into flesh, clearly didn't notice the vines on the ground that were about to attack them.

Caught off guard.

A series of cracking sounds rang out.

Those poisonous vines had already entangled several wolves, and the poison released in an instant, coupled with the poisonous flesh they had eaten, made it difficult for them to move.

The moment Tang Yin controlled the poisonous vines to attack the wolves, he had already dashed out.

Ten meters wasn't far.

When the wolf pack was still restrained and hadn't broken free, he had already arrived in front of them, channeling his Soul Power into the dagger in his hand. He then fiercely stabbed at the wolves trapped by the vines.

Pshhh! Pshhh! Pshhh!!

Clean and decisive insertions and extractions.

Each insertion and extraction brought with it a considerable amount of liquid.

Flesh and blood flew everywhere.

In a short time, several wolves were killed.

But that Hundred-Year Soul Beast wolf king had resistance to the poison, and it was obviously not so easy to kill.

"Awoo~ Awoo~"

Its wolf mouth kept spewing hot air, its bloodthirsty eyes fixed on Tang Yin. Suddenly, a surge of energy erupted from its body, shattering the vines.

A Hundred-Year Soul Beast.

It was completely different from some Ten-Year Soul Beasts.

Even though the vines were poisonous, they were easily resisted by the wolf king's Soul Power, making it difficult for them to take effect.

After Tang Yin swiftly stabbed the remaining wolves, who were entangled by the poisonous vines, he saw the wolf king was unscathed. He raised his dagger, glaring at it fiercely.

Retreat was impossible.

He could only fight to the death.

"Awoo~"

Suddenly, the Wolf King roared, and a ball of energy the size of a soccer ball shot out from its mouth.

The energy attack was very fast.

Tang Yin instinctively rolled to the side.

Boom!

A small crater appeared where he had been standing.

"A Hundred-Year Soul Beast, indeed not comparable to a ten-year one."

Tang Yin saw the difference between himself and the Wolf King.

He was no match for the Wolf King on his own.

But…

"Rise for me."

Just as the Wolf King spat out energy and attacked him.

The remaining poisonous vines around him, controlled by Tang Yin, rose from the ground like tentacles, wrapping around the Wolf King's legs.

At that moment.

Tang Yin charged towards the Wolf King without hesitation.

His daggers stabbed down frantically.

Pshhh pshhh.

The Wolf King was already poisoned, and now, with the poison erupting, it paused for a moment. It was this momentary pause that allowed Tang Yin to pierce it with several holes.

Between Tang Yin's thrusts and withdrawals.

The Hundred-Year Soul Beast Wolf King, died.
