Two days after that embarrassing encounter, they asked us to meet to get to know each other better. Since we were free that day, we accepted the invitation. Then we met at a small cafe that would probably become my favorite place.
When we arrived at the cafe, I immediately focused on one of them, and yes, it seems I fell in love when I saw such beautiful eyes. Then Celine and I immediately sat on the chairs they had prepared for me and Celine, Mey didn't join because she is an introvert who prefers to stay at home. Back again with this funny encounter, we ordered food and started eating our respective meals while chatting. Again and again, my focus was diverted to the man with beautiful eyes, he didn't touch his food at all and only drank a little of his coffee. Then I asked "why aren't you eating your food?" Then he answered shyly "it's okay, I'm just not hungry." Hearing his answer, I just nodded.
Long story short, we ended the meeting and went home.
When I got home, I asked Celine about the guy, but she just said, "Here's his number. Contact details, let's get to know each other."
Then I sent a message to his number, "Hello, I'm Jia, save my contact information." A short while later, I got a reply, "Hello, I'm Austin, I saved your contact information, nice to meet you."
And instead of telling him I was interested, I just replied, "May I know the contact details of your tall, sneaker-wearing friend?"
Austin replied, "Oh, his name's Peter. The first person who asked for my number was Gian." I just replied, "Oh, okay, thanks," and there was no further response.
A few hours later, a new number called, but I hate calling anyone, so I immediately declined the call. The number then sent a message, "Hi Jia, this is Peter."
