Chapter 97: Konoha F4, The End of Three
When Naruto arrived at the shelter, two Anbuwere also guarding the entrance.
"Password!"
"Get lost! I need to find Advisor Mito and AdvisorKoharu!"
Naruto pushed his way in as he spoke. The two Anbu guards didn't know if they should stop him. After all, they knew how chaotic it was outside; while their brothers and sisters were fighting to the death, they were stuck guarding a gate, which naturally made them feel unbalanced. The two exchanged a glance and could only swallow their frustration.
When Naruto saw Utatane Koharu and Homura Mitokado, the two were throwing their weight around inside the shelter.
Naruto didn't care about any of that. He stepped forward and said, "Advisor Mito, Advisor Koharu, Hokage-sama might not be able to hold on much longer."
Homura Mitokado frowned and asked, "What is the specific situation?"
"Orochimaru used Edo Tensei to bring back Nidaime-sama and Shodai-sama."
"What?" X2
Taking advantage of the moment they were stunned, Naruto slid two Kunai from his sleeves. Aiming for the necks of Homura Mitokado and Utatane Koharu, he swiftly threw the Kunai out.
Homura Mitokado was killed on the spot, while Utatane Koharu's reactions were more agile, and she managed to dodge the Kunai.
Naruto quickly closed the distance, pulled out another Kunai, and used all his strength to stab it into Utatane Koharu's heart.
Naruto used quite a bit of force, pushing Utatane Koharu's body until it was pinned to the wall before letting go.
Only after Naruto killed the two did the people in the shelter react, screaming and shouting that the two elders were dead.
Amidst the chaos, Naruto cut off Utatane Koharu's head, then went back to cut off Homura Mitokado's head. After storing the two heads in the Spirit Spring Space, he used Transformation Jutsu to disguise himself as a civilian and escaped the shelter.
When no one was paying attention, he used the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave the main group.
Once he reached a deserted place, Naruto took the two heads out of the Spirit Spring Space and tossed them onto the ground.
It wasn't that Naruto was particularly ruthless, but time was short, and there was no way to be certain they were completely dead. He could only use this crude method to quickly ensure their demise.
Naruto looked at the two heads on the ground and said with some anger, "Orochimaru! Since you didn't keep our agreement, don't blame me for making trouble for you."
After speaking, Naruto used the Flying Thunder God again and arrived at the exam site.
Dressed as an Anbu, Naruto arrived before the Four Purple Flaring Formation and watched the battle inside.
He waited until Hiruzen Sarutobi performed the Reaper Death Seal before gathering a Lightning Release: Rasenshuriken in his hand.
Naruto looked at the surrounding Anbu and said, "Get back! I'll try to see if I can break the Barrier!"
The nearby Anbu didn't know who Naruto was, but seeing him in Anbu gear and wearing an Anbumask, they didn't investigate further and quickly retreated a bit.
After Naruto used his full power to gather the Lightning Release: Rasenshuriken, he backed up and threw the Rasenshuriken at the Barrier.
When the Lightning Release: Rasenshurikencollided with the Barrier, a massive explosion occurred. One side of the Barrier was filled with lightning and began to shatter inch by inch.
The four people maintaining the Four Purple Flaring Formation all spat out a mouthful of blood simultaneously.
Seeing that it worked, Naruto quickly pretended to be weak and said, "I'm out of Chakra. If you attack it again, you should be able to break the Barrier."
The Anbu members nodded and each used powerful Ninjutsu. The Barrier shattered at the first touch. The four maintaining the Four Purple Flaring Formation began vomiting blood incessantly; without timely medical treatment, they likely wouldn't live long.
When Orochimaru and Hiruzen Sarutobi saw the Barrier break, their expressions became pained. Especially Hiruzen Sarutobi; having already performed the Reaper Death Seal and seized the souls of the Shodai and Nidaime, he was already certain to die.
Seeing the Anbu closing in from all sides, Orochimaru prepared to flee for his life.
However, to Orochimaru's surprise, the Sandaime, Hiruzen Sarutobi, seized Orochimaru's soul while he was momentary stunned.
Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Orochimaru with a smile and said, "My dear student! Come along obediently into the Shinigami's stomach with me!"
With his soul seized by Hiruzen Sarutobi, Orochimaru also saw the phantom image of the Shinigami behind him.
"What is that thing!"
"The Reaper Death Seal is a Sealing Jutsu that makes a deal with the Shinigami using one's soul. It's a Sealing Jutsu where I use my soul to take yours down with me. Don't worry! After we die, we won't go to the Pure Land; we will be entangled in the Shinigami's stomach for all eternity. Hehehe!"
With his soul caught, Orochimaru's entire body was unable to move. He was in a panic, not knowing what to do.
Just then, Yakushi Kabuto rushed over.
"Orochimaru-sama!"
Seeing Yakushi Kabuto arrive, Orochimaru was overjoyed and quickly said, "Kabuto! Kill this old geezer quickly!"
"Yes! Orochimaru-sama!"
After Kabuto spoke, he threw three shuriken.
Just as the three shuriken were about to kill Hiruzen Sarutobi, his summoned beast, Enma, blocked them.
Seeing this, Orochimaru said in annoyance, "Kill him quickly!"
Yakushi Kabuto knew he couldn't get bogged down fighting Enma, so he created several Shadow Clones. Surrounding Orochimaru and Hiruzen Sarutobi, he aimed for Hiruzen's vital spots and threw countless shuriken.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was hit by at least a dozen shuriken in vital areas, yet he was still smiling.
"It's useless! I am already a dead man; my soul has been given to the Shinigami. Just come with me quietly! My dear student."
After Hiruzen Sarutobi finished speaking, he increased his Chakra output, pulling almost the entire soul of Orochimaru's upper body out.
Seeing that Orochimaru still couldn't move, Yakushi Kabuto quickly activated his Chakra Scalpel, closed in on Hiruzen Sarutobi, and cut off Hiruzen's head.
Because the phantom of the Shinigami no longer had a supply of Chakra, the Shinigami only took half of Orochimaru's soul, which was much worse than in the original story.
In the original story, Orochimaru only had his hands taken away, but this time, the soul of his entire upper body was taken. The consequences could well be imagined.
Orochimaru screamed heart-wrenchingly. From the waist up, his physical body slowly changed color, losing all signs of life.
Yakushi Kabuto frowned when he saw Orochimaru's condition.
"Orochimaru-sama, we can't stay here any longer. I'll take you away immediately."
"Go!"
Standing not far away, Naruto saw Yakushi Kabutotaking Orochimaru away. Naruto stood there, deliberately catching Orochimaru's attention, took off his mask, and waved at him.
When Orochimaru saw it was Naruto, he knew Naruto was the one who broke the Barrier and realized that all of this had been calculated by Naruto.
"Damned brat! I will definitely kill you!"
