CHAPTER [1]
WHERE ONE JOURNEY ENDS, ANOTHER BEGINS
Nine Stars continent, yang province, Barren Nightmare forest range was an extremely terrifying place where no one below the Skywalker level dared to enter,it was filled with raging beasts and had barely any Qi in the atmosphere,so martial artists would fall into an unfavorable situation if they were entangled by powerful beasts.
The trees had no leaves and look dried and dead,but they bore strange fruits which had a ghostly bat like shape.
At this point, four figures were led by a middle aged man as they walked through the forest without problems,it was like they were strolling in the park. They all wore yellow robes with the word Dugu embroidered on them, all except the man who wore cyan robes.The four figures comprised of three boys and a girl the three boys were extremely handsome,and the same went for the girl she was extremely beautiful, even though she was only 13 one could see that she would become a peerless beauty that could launch a hundred thousand ships to war for her. Of the boys one of them was a little burly and held a saber at his waist , he seemed older than the rest,he had an arrogant temperament that wasn't hidden at all, his long hair was held behind him in a bun,and he walked forward with pride. The second boy was only 13 he had long brown hair,and had no weapon,and walked with refinement that only someone who has been flattered a lot would have. If the people of Yang province saw these four, they would be surprised, these four were acknowledged as the strongest of their peers in Yang Province they were known as the four Winds of Yang province. But surprisingly the arrogant boy, the refined boy and the girl all walked behind the last boy who was only 13, they all knew that in comparison to the boy in front of them, they were behind, he was stronger than any of them including the boy with the saber, he was known as South Wind by many but his name was Dugu Wu Jian. Dugu Wu Jian held a sword at his back,his long jet black hair was free floating in the wind, he had starry eyes and sword shaped brows, he was ultimately close to feminine beauty. But his face was calm no pride or arrogance could be seen on his face only indifference as he followed behind the elder.
"Based on the map, ancient ruins should be here" the Elder said stopping in front of a former lake, the lake had dried up so much the ground was cracking.
"If it's here, then it is definitely underground because the sect can't be in the open and we can't see it" North wind Dao Feng Yu said with an arrogant tone .
"Foolish" Dugu Wu Jian who has been silent all along suddenly spat out cursing.
"Did you just call me foolish?!" Dao Feng Yu asked in an angry tone.
"Yes, I called you foolish" Dugu Wu Jian said in a calm indifferent tone as if it had nothing to do with him.
"How dare you!" Dao Feng Yu said in anger.
"Hehe, there's nothing I Dugu Wu Jian don't dare to do, I still say it again you are foolish, if you are unconvinced just come let's have a round" Dugu Wu Jian said in a disdainful tone.
Hearing this, Dao Feng Yu was enraged but didn't dare to speak he knew the strength of Dugu Wu Jian better than anyone, he couldn't last 5 moves even though he had already broken through to the Fifth level Martial Beginner realm. Considering Dugu Wu Jian was only at the third level, that was too terrifying. But a strange evil smile appeared on Dao Feng Yu's face.
"We'll see who is foolish later" Dao Feng Yu muttered with an evil smile.
"Alright, we are here, for the sake of clarity, the ancient ruins isn't under ground but in front of us, this is a void junction where two worlds overlap, the ancient ruins is in the other space, we'll go in now" The elder said before taking out a broken piece of glass, the glass seemed tangible yet seemed like it didn't exist or have a fixed form. It was unknown what materials it was made of.
"Indeed the city Lord has a strong background that must be a space type treasure fragrament" Dugu Wu Jian said to himself with a sigh. In comparison his Dugu clan way far behind, but he swore he would work hard and become peerless in the continent and gain prestige for the Dugu clan.
The elder used the piece of glass like a dagger and drew it across the space in front of them, the void was torn open like a curtain and a different scene appeared in front of them.
There was a Huge gate on the other side, the walls were broken, but surprisingly the gate was intact, there was also a tablet beside the gate, but no one cared to read it what would a stupid tablet do for people who came for ancient treasures.
Following the elder the four jumped into the slit and it closed up once again leaving total silence at the bank of the dried up lake.
Dugu Wu Jian wasn't in a hurry to search for treasures, he looked at the words on the tablet attentively.
"Where one journey ends, another begins, there is no life without death, one must die to bring back life" Dugu Wu Jian read the words which seemed to hide a lot of mysteries.
The gates were quickly pushed open, and the party were stunned on what they saw.
The inside area was covered by a sea of molten magma that was boiling crazily the only things there were a long thin bridge made of rocks and a huge palace the rock was made of unknown materials. Judging by the fact they could stand tall in the sea of magma it showed they were made of heaven defying materials.
"Let's go in" The elder said and took the lead walking in quickly followed by the youths. The moment the youths Walked in they felt they had walked into a furnace for refining pills they felt extreme heat vapor was escaping from their pores the heat was surprisingly boiling their body liquids.
The youths circulated their techniques to cancel our the heat but it wasn't that easy. North Wind Dao Feng Yu was sweating insanely he had a feeling he was going to be cooked alive.
East wind Yu Hai yue had a pained expression as cold sweat dropped down his forehead his clothes were instantly soaked. His refined expression vanished replaced by a look of pain, obviously he was stretched out. West wind Bai Wang Zhu had a pained expression on her face the heat was obviously hard to defend against. At this moment they all looked at Dugu Wu Jian and were shocked to the core, Dugu Wu Jian stood in front of them unaffected by the heat at all, a white light curtain covered him, he just stood there leisurely looking around.
The other three felt like vomiting blood in anger they were all known Four Winds but why could Dugu Wu Jian stand calm and unaffected while they were all struggling, only Dao Feng Yu had an evil expression on his face killing intent flashed for a moment in his eyes that slight moment couldn't evade Dugu Wu Jian's perception, he just glanced at Dao Feng Yu coldly and looked away in a disdainful way.
"Let him think what he wants if he dared to have any big ideas about me, I don't mind exacting the toll of an arm or two" Dugu Wu Jian said in his mind he was wondering if Dao Feng Yu would go crazy in anger if he heard what he was thinking about. It could send Dao Feng Yu into pure undiluted rage but who cares Dugu Wu Jian didn't put him in his eyes anyway.
"The Legacy should be in the great hall" The Elder said leading the way, followed quickly by the youngsters.
Very quickly they came to the end of the bridge, and arrived in front of the palace door. The huge door was awesome inspiring and was obviously not ordinary.
The Elder signaled the youngsters to move back which they did promptly, at that moment the power of the Skywalker realm surged out it was like an Ocean that could drown out the skies, Dugu Wu Jian was a hundred percent certain that in front of such power he could die in an instant. But luckily he didn't have to face such a terrifying opponent.
"Heaven Shaking Fist!" The Elder yelled and a terrifying cyan Qi erupted from his fists as he bombarded the dorr furiously, but the door didn't open it only cracked a little.
"Pretend to be a ghost huh? Break for this Daddy" The Elder condensed another fist and punched the door, this time the door was broken, and behind that door was a huge hall, it was brightly lit and was decorated with strange murals and there were strange writings on the walls which no one understood but the most eye catching thing was an altar with Dragon cravings situated at the center of the hall, there were three items on the altar all having powerful auras, there was a drop of Golden coloured blood floating a few inches above the altar, it contained a terrifying Qi, and it had a righteous awe inspiring aura, second was a Purple Cased book with a blood coloured crescent [🌘] moon drawn on it. The book was obviously extraordinary, and lastly was a Cyan colored robe floating above the altar, it was releasing waves of Qi Dugu Wu Jian couldn't identify it also had ripples around it like it was immersed in water.
"Intact Space type treasure, Light class bloodline, and an ancient technique, what the hell was this place when it was at its prime?" The Elder said in astonishment.
"So we found the Ancient sect, now how will we split the loot, there are only three loots and there are four of us?" Yu Hai Yue asked obviously none of them were willing to give up when it came to the treasures.
"That part is very easy" Dao Feng Yu said grinning in an evil way as he turned to Dugu Wu Jian.
Seeing this, Dugu Wu Jian wanted to ignore him, but he saw that the Elder was looking at him sinisterly. His expression changed drastically even a fool would understand what they meant by that. Bai Wang Zhu and Yu Hai Yue understood what they meant but their expression didn't change at all this had nothing to do with them.
Dugu Wu Jian took out a talisman hurriedly and tore it, waves of water ripples surrounded him intending to take him away.
"Hehe you think you can run away? Except your Father personally comes here today no one can save you " The Elder said sinisterly and the power of the Skywalker realm surged, the Elder slapped the water curtain which instantly collapsed Dugu Wu Jian fell out and coughed up a mouthful of blood.
"Hehe, you think you are a genius even stronger than me Dao Feng Yu? Hehe you will just end up dead, you dared look down on me now the Dugu clan won't even find your bones" Dao Feng Yu said in a crazy way.
"Hehe once a looser always a looser since when is it the turn of trash like you to tell me what is going to happen to me?" Dugu Wu Jian sneered at Dao Feng Yu weakly while coughing yet another mouthful of blood.
"Piss off before I kill you" Dugu Wu Jian said in a condescending tone looking at Dao Feng Yu straight in the eye.
"Hehe, you can try be my guest " Dao Feng Yu sneered opening his arms wide.
At this moment, Dugu Wu Jian suddenly disappeared shocking everyone, Dao Feng Yu's expression changed as Dugu Wu Jian's sneer sounded beside him.
"Although I can't escape killing the trash like you is very easy for me" Dugu Wu Jian sneered and his sword which had been pulled out at some point in time slashed out of that sword reached Dao Feng Yu it was straight beheading.
Dao Feng Yu's expression changed to one filled with terror.
"Hehe kids these days are very arrogant" The Elder said at the last moment and suddenly Dugu Wu Jian froze his sword only a few inches from Dao Feng Yu's neck.
"Want to kill in front of me?" The Elder asked bursting into laughter.
"Hehe you can go and die now" The Elder said and waved his sleeves, Dugu Wu Jian was instantly blown off the bridge, while he was falling, the Elder didn't even hlance at him a second time and took the other young geniuses Into the hall.
"Is this the end?" Dugu Wu Jian asked as he fell the temperature kept increasing, his life began to flash before his eyes, as he pictureed everything that has happened in his life, he felt very sad was he going to leave his parents without saying goodbye?
At this moment Dugu Wu Jian's skin began to burn and turn into ash piece by piece he was being erased from the world, at this moment,he felt a strange type of energy flow through his body, and a voice responded in his head;
"Where one journey ends, another begins, there is no life without death, one must die to bring back life although death is inevitable, it is the only path to life"
Dugu Wu Jian suddenly had an epiphany as he hit the magma and blacked out.
