Chapter 20 - Chapter 107: Intelligence

After catching Up on recent events, Noy carried Luo Fan and led Eneru back to Shakky's Tavern. Marco and the others didn't go because their identities were too sensitive.

"Yo! Isn't this Noy! Long time no see!" As soon as Noy pushed the door open, a regular at Shakky's Tavern greeted her.

This guest was named Kovic, an old drunkard. Noy didn't know what he did for a living, but he was extremely wealthy and generous with his money. He was Shakky's favorite guest, bar none.

Noy bowed slightly to Kovic while holding Luo Fan and replied with a smile, "Mr. Kovic, you're still as energetic as ever after not seeing you for several months."

"Noy, you only see that fellow Kovic and not us?" the other regulars in the Tavern teased in unison.

Noy greeted each of these guests one by one.

After greeting the guests, Noy walked to the bar. Shakky smiled and patted Noy's head. "I haven't seen you for a few months, and you've grown Up."

"Really? I don't think much has changed!" Rayleigh said as he cleaned glassware beside Shakky.

"That's because your eyes are bad. Also, stop talking and wash them properly. All you do all day is idle around. It's one thing that you don't go out to earn money coating ships, but you specifically pick the expensive wine to drink. I have to teach you a lesson today."

Hearing this, Rayleigh shrank his neck and didn't dare to speak anymore. During this period, he indeed hadn't earned a single berry and had drunk quite a lot of the fine wine Shakky had prepared. He had nothing to say in his defense.

Seeing this, Luo Fan showed a gloating smile. Who knew that this smile would be seen by Shakky? She grabbed Luo Fan by the fur on the back of his neck and lifted him Up.

"Laughing? What's so funny? Don't forget you still owe me money! Over a year of room and board, food expenses, and Noy's treatment fees..."

"Forget it, I won't ask you for Noy's treatment fees. Hurry Up and settle the room, board, and food expenses."

Luo Fan curled his lip in disdain upon hearing this. Did she really think he was still that poor cat from two years ago? He was a tycoon now.

However, the price Shakky quoted later gave Luo Fan a shock. Shakky actually calculated it at 1 million Berries a day. Even after rounding off the change, it was still 400 million Berries.

Luo Fan's mouth twitched, and he pulled a piece of gold out of his Storage Space.

Shakky weighed the gold and said, "Based on the weight of this gold, I'll count it as 200 million Berries for you. What about the rest?"

"There's no more. With this, we're even."

Shakky glanced at Noy, who was standing to the side with her hands together in a pleading gesture, and accepted this result as a default, putting Luo Fan down.

Luo Fan breathed a sigh of relief and jumped back into Noy's arms.

To be honest, Luo Fan had always felt it was necessary to thank Rayleigh and Shakky for taking care of him and Noy.

Luo Fan felt that Rayleigh was also his teacher. He taught him to master Haoshoku and had been his sparring partner, helping him improve his levels of Two-Color Haki and swordsmanship. It could be said that Rayleigh was the primary reason Luo Fan had his current strength.

Although Shakky didn't directly help Luo Fan improve his strength, she helped him settle worries like food and lodging and helped treat Noy.

Therefore, Luo Fan was willing to give this piece of gold to Shakky.

Having received the gold, Shakky's mood clearly improved. Rayleigh also benefited from Luo Fan's contribution and didn't have to continue washing the glassware.

Rayleigh picked Up a glass of beer and sat down beside Noy. Luo Fan took the opportunity to introduce Eneru to Rayleigh.

Upon hearing Luo Fan say that Eneru was a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user, Rayleigh showed a very interested expression.

Eneru was also bold and took the chance to challenge Rayleigh.

Rayleigh drained the beer in his glass and then accepted Eneru's challenge.

Luo Fan and Noy looked at each other, seeing the same thought in each other's eyes: "A good show is about to start."

The group went together to the forest where Rayleigh trained Luo Fan.

Although Eneru was reckless, he wasn't stupid. He could read from Noy and Luo Fan's expressions that this middle-aged man was not simple.

So as soon as both sides stood ready, Eneru directly used his golden staff to strike the drums on his back.

A lightning dragon, baring its fangs and brandishing its claws, emerged from the drums and flew straight towards Rayleigh.

Rayleigh casually drew his longsword, coated it with Armament Haki, and sliced the lightning dragon straight in half.

Eneru was stunned for a moment. This was the second time his strongest attack had been easily neutralized.

But in the next second, Eneru suddenly laughed arrogantly because as soon as Rayleigh deactivated his Armament Haki, the longsword in his hand shattered into black particles and dissipated with the wind.

Rayleigh casually tossed away the hot hilt and remarked, "Not bad. Is this the Rumble-Rumble Fruit? It is indeed quite strong."

"Old man, I win this time, right? Your sword is gone."

Rayleigh smiled and used Soru to teleport behind Eneru. Eneru's Observation Haki sensed the location of Rayleigh's attack, and he directly elementalized in advance.

However, to Eneru's surprise, even though he had elementalized in advance, Rayleigh still hit him, kicking him flying away.

Eneru climbed Up from the ground with a face full of disbelief. "How is this possible? I clearly elementalized in advance."

"Nothing is impossible. I predicted your prediction. Simply put, my Observation Haki is stronger than yours." After saying that, Rayleigh launched his next attack.

The battle that followed was a one-sided beatdown of Eneru by Rayleigh. No matter how Eneru elementalized, he couldn't escape Rayleigh's attacks, and he was eventually beaten black and blue.

"You... you Blue Sea People are too much. Why do you all like to aim for the face when hitting people?" Eneru complained, slumped on the ground and clutching his face.

"Blue Sea People? You're from a Sky Island?" Rayleigh asked with a frown.

Eneru nodded reluctantly, admitting it.

"Luo Fan, when did you go to a Sky Island?" Rayleigh turned and asked Luo Fan.

"About a few months ago!"

"I was wondering how you got that gold. So you took it from a Sky Island."

Luo Fan smiled, essentially confirming Rayleigh's words.

With the fight over, the group returned to Shakky's Tavern. Shakky glanced at the bruised Eneru and casually handed him a bottle of medicine.

This medicine looked familiar to Luo Fan; he used it often when he was being beaten by Rayleigh in the past.

After Noy finished applying the medicine for Eneru, the five of them sat down to eat dinner.

Luo Fan took the opportunity to ask Shakky if she knew anything about the Revolutionary Army.

Shakky's intelligence sources were mysterious, but her information was very accurate. There were few things on this sea that she didn't know, and this time was no exception.

Hearing Luo Fan ask about the Revolutionary Army, Shakky didn't hide anything and directly admitted that she knew intelligence about them.

Luo Fan also understood Shakky's rules and pulled out 10 million Berries from his space.

Shakky, whose eyes lit Up at the sight of money, showed a satisfied smile and then tossed a scroll to Luo Fan. The scroll contained information regarding the Revolutionary Army.
