Chapter 34 - Chapter 33: The Forging of Zero-Point

To pierce the skin of a Rank 9 World Breaker, a standard legendary sword would be as effective as a blade of grass against a mountain. Lu Chen knew that the physical laws of this world had to be cheated. He needed a weapon that didn't just cut flesh, but collapsed space itself at the point of impact.

The forges of the Sword Pavilion, usually roaring with the fire of Spirit-Stones, were now silent. In their place stood a swirling vortex of blue frost and golden lightning. Lu Chen stood at the center, his Rank 5 aura acting as the hammer, while Yue Xiao provided the stabilizing absolute-zero temperature.

"Elders," Lu Chen's voice rang out through the heat. "Your swords have served you for centuries. But against the Void, they are merely ornaments. To create the Zero-Point Blade, I need the ancestral steel of this Pavilion. I need your sacrifice."

The High Elders looked at their life-bound swords—weapons they had spent hundreds of years refining. With heavy hearts but unwavering resolve, they cast their blades into the vortex. One by one, the legendary swords melted, their spirits wailing as they were stripped of their old forms.

Lu Chen closed his eyes. He used the "Law of the Smallest Point" to compress the molten essence of a hundred legendary swords into a single, slender needle-thin blade.

The pressure was immense. The ground beneath the forge began to liquefy.

"Now, Xiao!" Lu Chen roared.

Yue Xiao unleashed the full power of her Ice Spirit Physique, flash-freezing the white-hot metal at the exact moment of its maximum compression. The resulting explosion of steam and Qi leveled the forge building, sending a shockwave that cleared the clouds for miles.

As the mist cleared, Lu Chen stood holding a hilt with no visible blade—only a distortion in the air, a shimmering line where light seemed to be sucked into a void. It was the Zero-Point Blade. It didn't exist in three dimensions; it was a localized collapse of reality.

"One strike," Lu Chen whispered, his hand bleeding as the sword's mere existence tore at his skin. "With this, even a God of Ruin can bleed."
