Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Last Drive

The road was nearly empty that night.

Streetlights stretched along the highway, casting pale circles of light onto the dark asphalt. A lone car moved steadily through the quiet road, its headlights cutting through the darkness.

Inside the car, a young man drove toward home.

His eyes were tired after a long day, but his hands remained steady on the steering wheel. All he wanted now was to return home and rest.

The car continued forward through the silent night.

Then suddenly—

A figure ran onto the road.

The young man's eyes widened in shock.

A person had appeared directly in front of his car.

"Damn!"

Without thinking, he jerked the steering wheel to the side.

The tires screeched loudly as the car swerved across the road. The vehicle lost control, spinning violently.

For a brief moment, everything seemed to slow down.

Then—

CRASH!

The car slammed into a large tree at the side of the road.

The impact was violent.

Metal twisted. Glass shattered.

Pain exploded through the young man's body as his head struck the seat. Warm blood slowly ran down his forehead.

The world around him fell silent.

Inside the wrecked car, he struggled to breathe.

Every breath felt heavy.

Pain spread throughout his entire body.

His vision slowly blurred.

But despite the pain, a faint sense of relief appeared in his heart.

At least… he hadn't hit the man.

He tried to move his body.

Nothing happened.

He tried again.

Still nothing.

Not even his fingers responded.

A cold realization slowly filled his mind.

So this… is how it ends.

His eyelids grew heavier with each passing second.

In the final moments of his life, memories flashed through his mind like fragments of a dream.

The orphanage where he had spent his childhood.

The laughter of the few friends he once had.

The quiet, lonely years that followed.

Everything passed in an instant.

His breathing became weaker.

Darkness slowly spread across his vision.

Then—

Everything disappeared.
