Chapter 11 - Warzone back home

"So how can we send the students back home?" Cyrus asked.

The supernatural is taking over the world right now, but Cyrus continues to look for the answer. The demons were mostly doing fine. They lived around the slums, so they were used to situations like this. They didn't have much to lose. They also have the survival skills needed here.

"We could send the demons back first to see what happens?" a colleague responded.

Cyrus opposed to the answer before most could agree. It was clear that the situation was getting to the most of them. The demons were first involved trying to bring back their demon lord to take over the world. Then the gang members got involved for no reason. Lastly, Zed keeps leaving them. Like what?

Ezio came up to Cyrus to give his report.

"I've already discovered most of the island. It seems like there's a wall separating the island from the warzone. For the time being, it should be safe. But if we don't get moving, surviving will become more difficult."

Ezio was referring to the student's lack of survival skills. Cyrus continued to gather all of their reports, then asked them to leave the room while he stayed to conclude the work for what needs to be done next.

When Ezio got outside, he could not believe the sight. The male students were pounding against the wall. Still want to go home that badly huh? The demons stood back laughing. If the supernatural couldn't break down that wall, how could they?

Suddenly, Ikke had the awesome idea of using his transformation, but Ezio stopped him. The wall was built in place to prevent the supernatural threats from coming over. If the wall were to fall now, there would be no chance of survival. The whole place would turn into a meteor warzone meaning everyone fighting for themselves at that point. He tells them that practicing their survival skills needed to come first.

Sometime later, Cyrus appears. His expression was grim.

"Why isn't Zed back yet? He asked. "It's almost bedtime! I know I shouldn't worry. I know I said to let him be. But this is getting ridiculous. We can't contact him here, because he doesn't have a phone or signal!"

'He has a book at least." Ezio joked.

"C'mon now that wasn't funny Ezio!" Ikke said.

Cyrus tells some of the weaker students to stay behind, while the tougher students follow him. They would meet with someone he knew. Zed mentioned a part of the island where there were a group of students surrounding a master. If what he said was true, Cyrus knew about them. They were the master class dojo. The students there were martial artists who practice fighting styles. He knew about them because his rival, a masterclass shinobi often challenged him. His name was Mehatto. Mehatto often watched out for Fox, but so did Cyrus. One day, they both got into a big argument that led to Mehatto leaving. Since then, Mehatto did not show himself.

When Cyrus got to the house, he saw a few ninjas practicing. Ezio, Ikke, a few other students followed behind. When Cyrus got closer, Mehatto's father left the house. He was thrilled to see Cyrus here. He first asked about the supernatural. He then asked about what he knew about the demons; also, if they were real. Cyrus got overwhelmed fast. He turned to Ikke who walked up.

"We got a demon right here." Cyrus told the curious man.

"A demon? really?!" the guy asked.

Cyrus nodded. So did Ikke. After he looked Ikke up, then down, then sideways, the curious gut asked why they were here. Cyrus told him that he wanted to speak with Mehatto, but the man's expression turned grim. After the name Mehatto was mentioned, he looked to his students who all bowed.

"I'm afraid Mehatto has been gone a few weeks now." he stated.

Cyrus thought for a second. Where could he have gone?

"We tried to look for him, but we couldn't pick up his tracks." he continued. "I know it might be too much to ask, but could you let me know if you do?"

Cyrus nodded. Then told the rest of his students to meet him back at the bus. It was getting late, so Cyrus decided they would search for clues tomorrow about Mehatto's whereabouts.

First Zed. Now Mehatto. What is happening right now?

By the time they made it back, it was already past dark. Cyrus told the students to rest, while he made his way to his hut. He had work to do before they set out tomorrow. Before he could enter, there was movement in the corner of his eyes. The figure was impossible to make out, but he was clearly a stranger to him. Before Cyrus could ask who, they were, they were gone. He stood there a couple seconds before entering the hut.

When morning came, Cyrus went to the practice fields to view his students' progress. They were clearly getting stronger from what he could tell. His crew members told the students to line up; then Cyrus walked up to them. He gave each of them the title of DEATHKNIGHTS. Their ranks proving superior to ordinary knights. They were all given real weapons now. steel. iron.

When it was time to move out, Cyrus led the DEATHKNIGHTS through the forest. They walked endlessly until they made it to the clearing. Up above, they could see the empire. The only challenge now was to get beyond the hill meaning more walking. By the time the DEATHKNIGHTs got to the top of the hill, they decided to take a break. They used this break to take in the scenery.

[The Empire]

Mehatto stood before the throne. He had no idea how he got here, because he was recently trapped in another dimension until he transferred. He looked up to lock eyes with the Reigning Sunblade Emperor who had the black crown sitting beside him.
