Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Mortal… your hands are stained with the blood of Asgardian warriors!"

"They were the greatest warriors of Asgard—they were gods!"

"And yet you, a mere mortal who once stood under Asgard's protection…"

"…have dared to raise your blade against them!"

"You will be punished for this crime!"

The voice of the All-Father thundered through the golden hall.

Step by step, Odin advanced.

With every step he took, the pressure in the palace increased, the divine authority of the King of the Aesir filling the air like a rising storm.

In his hand, the legendary Gungnir gleamed with cold power.

Opposite him stood Adrian.

The young man looked small compared to the towering throne hall, yet his expression remained utterly calm.

"Asgardian gods, you say?"

Adrian's gaze was icy.

"Even so… their screams when they died couldn't even drown out the sound of the wind."

The hall fell silent.

The gods surrounding them stared at the mortal with fury and disbelief.

This man—this mortal—had slaughtered Asgard's warriors like a storm sweeping through wheat.

But Adrian did not avert his eyes.

He stared directly at Odin.

The so-called God-King.

The one who had brought him—and many other humans—from Earth to Asgard.

The one who had allowed his adopted son to manipulate them like pieces on a board.

When Adrian had finally raised the banner of rebellion, Odin had not intervened.

Because to Odin—

They were merely part of a test.

A test for his son.

A test conducted with mortal lives.

"A heinous crime!"

Odin's voice boomed like thunder as divine power surged around him.

He raised Gungnir.

The spear that had ended countless wars.

"Ha…"

Adrian laughed softly.

"So even the great All-Father cannot suppress his anger."

His eyes were cold and fearless.

"If this is enough to shake you…"

"…then how will you face Ragnarok when it finally arrives?"

Ragnarok.

The word echoed through the hall like a forbidden curse.

For a brief moment—

Odin's expression changed.

During the deep trances of Odin-Sleep, visions of Ragnarok had indeed haunted him for centuries.

But how could this mortal possibly know that?

Before Odin could question him—

Another voice interrupted.

"Father… we cannot delay any longer."

The one who spoke stepped forward with a faint smile.

Loki.

The Prince of Asgard.

The God of Mischief.

Odin slowly regained his composure.

His gaze fell once more upon Adrian.

This mortal possessed a strange and terrifying power.

The power of war.

A power that once belonged to Odin's eldest daughter—

Hela.

After Hela had been sealed away, fragments of that divine authority had somehow fallen into Adrian's hands.

But Odin had already discovered the weakness of this power.

The mortal could only maintain his divine strength for one hour each day.

Once that time expired—

He would return to a fragile human body.

And yet…

Even that fragile body could not be killed.

Asgard's greatest warriors had already fallen and journeyed to Valhalla.

But Adrian still stood.

An unkillable mortal.

Such an existence should not exist.

To eliminate the threat, Odin had even manipulated events in secret.

He had sent the warrior Lothar into the burial grounds beneath the great palace—

The resting place of Hela's ancient legions.

Half of the dead army had awakened.

Even the monstrous wolf Fenris Wolf had risen once more.

And the result?

For three days and three nights—

Adrian slaughtered the undead legions again.

Even Fenris had fallen once more.

At this point, there was only one option left.

Seal him away.

Just as Odin had once sealed away Hela.

And it had to be done quickly.

If Adrian's hour of power returned during the sealing—

Even Odin was not certain he could contain him.

Odin raised Gungnir and spoke with divine authority.

"In the name of Odin, King of the Gods…"

"I banish you."

"I seal you away for eternity!"

Runes of ancient Asgardian magic ignited.

A dark green portal opened beneath Adrian's feet.

Deathly energy poured from the vortex like a storm from the depths of the cosmos.

The abyss swallowed him.

The assembled gods exhaled in relief.

At last—

The monster was gone.

Odin began to close the portal.

Then—

A beam of starlight suddenly pierced the sky and shot straight into the rift.

Odin's eyes widened.

"This—!"

"This is not good!"

The Asgardian gods immediately understood.

That starlight meant only one thing.

Adrian's power had returned.

Odin tightened his grip on Gungnir and forced the portal shut.

The dimensional rift collapsed.

Just before it closed completely—

A voice echoed from within.

"Spear and shield… to the gods!"

BOOM!!!

A blazing comet shot out of the closing portal.

A spear and shield slammed into the roof of the golden palace.

The celestial dome shattered.

Cracks spread across the ceiling as fragments collapsed to the ground.

Through the ruined palace roof, the endless stars of the cosmos were revealed.

The gods of Asgard stared upward in silence.

Their fear of the warrior known as Lothar deepened once again.

"Where exactly is this place?"

"We've been falling for an entire hour…"

"Is this some kind of bottomless abyss?"

Still descending through darkness, Adrian raised his hand.

The spear and shield that symbolized his identity as the War Star Spirit instantly returned to his grasp.

Then—

THUMP!!

After an unknown amount of time, Adrian finally struck solid ground.

The impact shook his entire body.

For a moment, it felt as if his soul had been knocked loose.

But Adrian slowly stood.

Because of his permanent ability—

He could never die.
