I felt a strikening surge of pain as the cold hard mug hit my fore head
"Can't you be useful for once in your worthless life. I thought you took after your stupid mother but turns out you are worse" Mrs Meyer , my step mother spat in hatred and disdain
"What are you still waiting for! Get on your knees and beg your mother!" My stupid father shouted hitting my leg causing me to fall to my knees
"Mother!? Never will I be a mother to such a brat!! Look, she isn't even apologizing" She said with fury burning through her voice
"Are you insane! Apologize!" My father roared as he hit me behind my head with his fist.
Cold tears rolled down my cheeks as my heart began squeezing inside my chest.
I held my chest tightly and tried to slow down heat beat hopping it would surpress the pain but it didn't. Instead, it got worse.
"Are you deaf! Get out of my house right now!!" Mrs Meyer shouted angrily as she stormed out.
"You crazy witch! Didn't you hear what I said!? Now you got my wife angry. You really are just like you useless mother. I don't want to see you hear when I return!" My dad said and also stormed out, leaving me in bitter pain.
I knew Mrs Meyer too much than to defy are words. After gaining a little energy, I dragged my self out of the house.
The house was located in an isolated area, miles away from the main city. The forest was the closest to me.
I walked sluggishly through the forest, the hard branches and cold leaves brushing hard against my skin.
It was an extremely cold night and in little time, my bones began to ache while my chest ached harder.
The cold air was painful to inhale
I pushed forward until I spotted a well. I collapsed next to the well has I my breath became extremely heavy. My sight began to turn blur as my head kept spinning.
I held on to my stomach as a strong feeling of pain hit me there. Was this how I was going to die.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching me. I was too weak to raise my head to check who or what it was. It was a dense forest, known for wild and savage beasts after all.
As the footsteps got closer, the air became more difficult to breathe. The kind of aura what ever creature was approaching had was to overwhelming.
I gathered all my strength and raised up my head. But It was useless.
My vision was so blur that I couldn't see any thing. All I could see was the structure and shape of the figure. It was human, but unfortunately, a man.
I knew the first thought that would come into a man's mind when he saw an helpless lady.
As expected, he leaned down towards me , well he didn't stop there, he leaned his face closer to mine, that I began to feel is hot breath brushing my skin
"Bastard...stay away from..me" I whispered with my last breath before passing out.

Zamiel's pov
Dehydrated and exhausted, I walked through the forest hoping to the well.
I finally spotted the well, but a lady was staying next to it. She looked extremely pale an thin. I crouched at her front leaning closely towards her face. Something about her attracted me.
"Bastard... stay away from... me"She said weakly before going unconscious .
Then, I saw a mark appear on her head. The mark faded almost immediately it came, bit It was enough to for me to see clearly.
My eyes widened slightly. "Could this be her??"
I gave her water before taking her away.
I saw her eyelid blink as she was about to open her eyes. She would get the wrong idea if she saw me carrying her, well I couldn't care less.
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain on my arms as I felt her teeth dig into me. I shot her a stern glare. She pushed me firecely causing her to fall tmfrim my hold.
"Who are you! Stay away from me!" She said then took to her heels.

Aviah's pov
I had no choice bit to return home. Even if I had to get on my knees to beg or suffer severe punishments. I couldn't stay out here
...
I didn't sleep that night, and spent the whole night doing all the house chores. I needed to please Mrs Meyer. After finishing the chores, I went to the garden and stayed there waiting for Mrs Meyer and Mr dad to wake up.
I heard a clicking sound of footsteps and rose immediately, I turned around and found Nina standing with a frown on her face.
"Wait, didn't my mom ask you to leave! What are you still doing here!" She snapped
"Hm..hmm
"Hmm.. what! Leave now before she wakes up b**ch!" She shouted as she pushed me . I stumbled but luckily I was able to regaiy balance before falling. This seemed to have angered her more.
"Mom! Aviah is still here!!" She shouted causing the entire household to wake up.
"What is it again this morning?" Eva, the oldest daughter said as she walked towards us with a frown. Her sleep had been interrupted by Nina, the second daughter.
"Mom clearly asked this brat to leave but she still had the effrontery to wait!"Nina explained
"You!!! Didn't your mom ask you to leave?" My dad said angrily as he also joined us
"Dad I'm really sorry. I have no where else to go. Please"I pleaded as I rubbed my palms. together.
"Oh now you can beg!'"Mrs Meyer's voice spoke from behind me.
I turned around in shock as I stumbled a bit. I regained my balance quickly and resumed my pleading.
"Last night I was in great pain that's why I couldn't apologize. Please I'm sorry" I pleaded with teary eyes.
Well my tears meant nothing to my heartless step-mother.
"Pain? Do you even know the true meaning of pain?" She asked a bit sarcastically.
"If you don't leave my house I'll show you the true meaning of pain!" She added quickly
"Mom just leave her " Eva suddenly spoke. My heart nearly shrunk inside my chest.

But before I could finish my thought she added.
"Who will do all the chores if she leaves. Not me"She said then left. I should have known better why did would any of the truly stand up for me?
"Mom, sister is kinda right . Just let her stay" Kate the third daughter said then took her leave.
" I don't know what charms you used on my daughters but you better thank your stars and thank them. The next time you annoy me . Believe me ,no one will be able to help you" she said then stormed out.
I bowed slightly to both my dad and Nina before leaving to serve breakfast.

"Young master, you wanted to see me" A tall slim, young guy in black suit said bowing slightly to Zamiel.
"I need you to help me find someone " Zamiel said dropping the pen he was holding.
