Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Elysia and Theresa

Theresa carefully took the bow and walked to the bedside; she wanted to try out this weapon. Although it was impolite to casually touch other people's belongings, especially those of her rescuer, she couldn't resist her own curiosity.

She had never played with a bow before!

Standing by the window, looking at the building opposite, Theresa clearly saw the hole in the opposite building, then drew the bow and aimed beside that hole.

Just then, Elysia suddenly opened the bedroom door. Startled by the sound of the door opening, Theresa immediately released the bowstring, and the arrow flew off in an unknown direction.

Theresa quickly turned around, hiding the compound bow behind her, like a kitten that had done something wrong. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have touched your weapon without permission."

After sensing the abnormal Honkai Energy in her room, Elysia stopped what she was doing and quickly returned to her room. Opening the door, she saw Theresa holding her bow.

"It's fine, but for a cute child, it's better not to play with such dangerous things. Besides, you should be lying in bed right now. When did you wake up, little cutie ♬ ~?" Elysia didn't mind others using her weapon; she was just curious when Theresa had woken up. (Why does she sound like a snake?)

"You're the child! I'm older than you!" Hearing someone call her a child, Theresa instantly raised her head to retort.

"Mhm, mhm, mhm, you're a big kid now ♬ ~" Elysia walked smilingly in front of Theresa and then patted Theresa's head.

Elysia knew Theresa was older than her, but Theresa didn't know that from her perspective, so taking advantage of the situation to tease her was the best.

Theresa found it hard to retort at this moment; she was in the wrong first, and the other person had saved her. But Theresa still slapped Elysia's hand away. "I'm really not a child anymore."

"Mhm, mhm, you're a little grown-up now ♬ ~" Elysia reached behind Theresa and took back her compound bow. "But it's still better not to casually play with such dangerous things ♬ ~"

"It's not dangerous to me," Theresa mumbled softly, then looked at Elysia, who had hung the compound bow higher, and said, "Well, thank you for saving me."

"I didn't save you, it was someone else. I was just helping her take care of you." Hearing Theresa's words, Elysia turned and looked at Theresa, losing her playful mood. After all, Sakura had disappeared in front of her. It was Sakura who saved her, not Elysia. She couldn't take credit for someone else's sacrifice.

"It was someone else?" Theresa lowered her head and whispered. It seemed she hadn't remembered incorrectly. She vaguely recalled that as she was about to faint, a pink figure had rescued her from the vines.

"Yes, a very lovely Miss Pink Fox saved you," Elysia said after hearing Theresa's words.

"Where is she now?" Hearing Elysia's answer, Theresa quickly looked up, asking somewhat anxiously. Although she didn't know why, she felt a sense of closeness to that pink figure.

"She has already left. I don't know where she went. Perhaps in some future place, you might meet her again." Elysia slightly tilted her head when she said this, not daring to look directly at Theresa, fearing that she would see through her lie. Elysia didn't want to tell Theresa the truth directly. She couldn't tell Theresa that her life was exchanged for someone else's, could she?

"I see. I haven't even thanked her yet." A somewhat dejected Theresa didn't notice Elysia's small gesture, only thinking that her rescuer indeed had other matters and had left first. (Theresa was still very naive at this time.)

"Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. You should rest well in bed first. I'll call you when dinner is ready." After saying that, Elysia walked out of the bedroom. As the bedroom door closed, Elysia bit her lower lip. She hated lying, but some things were indeed not suitable to say directly.

Elysia cooked with a somewhat distracted mind. Now that Theresa was awake, she would definitely want her Judah back. From the video, Theresa's Judah was still in that small forest. If even Theresa could have an accident, how strong was the pseudo-Herrscher in that small forest?

As she was thinking, Elysia suddenly smelled something burnt. She quickly looked down at the food in the pot. Fortunately, not much was burnt. She quickly turned off the heat and picked out the burnt parts.

After picking them out, Elysia tasted a bite of the dish she had stir-fried, then frowned slightly; there was still a burnt taste.

After sighing, Elysia poured out the failed dish and decided to stir-fry it again.

When Elysia finished cooking again, she first returned to the bedroom.

Opening the door, she saw Theresa holding a phone, contacting someone.

Upon seeing Elysia, Theresa just nodded.

Elysia walked to the small table by the bed. She needed to tidy up this small table to place the prepared food.

After Elysia finished tidying up, Theresa also put her phone aside, seemingly having finished her call.

"Is there anything you need help with?" Theresa walked to Elysia's side.

Elysia originally wanted to reach out and pat Theresa's head, but remembering that she had just finished cooking and hadn't washed her hands, she retracted her hand. "If you want to help, come and serve yourself rice. The food is ready. Remember to wash your hands first ♬ ~"

"I told you I'm not a child!" Theresa retorted, then walked out of the bedroom to the kitchen to wash her hands.

Elysia followed Theresa. Once in the kitchen, she first served all the food, then went to wash her hands.

After bringing all the food to the bedroom with Theresa, the two sat on the bed and ate together. She had originally thought Theresa would wake up later, but it was fortunate that Theresa woke up just as she started cooking, otherwise there wouldn't have been enough food.

The two didn't say a word while eating.

Elysia didn't know what to say, while Theresa was thinking about other things.

After they finished eating, Theresa voluntarily tidied up the dishes.

When Theresa returned to the bedroom again, she sat on the bed, watching Elysia who was using the computer.

After a while, Theresa couldn't help but speak first. "Um, my name is Theresa."

"Mhm, mhm, I'm Elysia. You can call me Elysia. Is there something, little Theresa ♬ ~?" Elysia turned around and looked at Theresa.

"Actually, our side saw your distress post. I came to rescue you," Theresa said somewhat awkwardly, then turned her head away. She was supposed to be the one rescuing, but ended up being rescued by the person she was supposed to save.

"So, Theresa, are you from some special department? You're clearly a child. Does your department even employ child labor?"

"No! I'm not a child anymore!" Theresa retorted directly. "Actually, in a sense, I'm... a leader? In short, I came to save you." After saying that, Theresa nodded. "But, Miss Fox, I really want to know, you should be able to leave this city directly, right? Why are you still here?"

"Why do you think I have the ability to leave this city?" Elysia asked with some curiosity.

"That weapon, with that weapon, you should be able to leave here easily, right?" Theresa said, pointing to the compound bow on the wall.

"You mean that bow? That bow was given to me by the Miss Fox who saved you ♬ ~" Elysia wasn't lying. Her own blade had absorbed the blade Sakura gave her, so her blade contained the blade Sakura gave her. In conclusion, half of this blade was given by Sakura!
