Chapter 1 - Hey, Second Nephew

The gentle morning sun shone down on Sunset Forest.

Rustle... rustle...

A youth in a simple cloth shirt moved quickly through the forest. His sharp eyes scanned his surroundings, filled with vigilance.

The youth had black hair and black eyes. His muscles filled out his shirt. His movements were surprisingly agile for his build, and he exuded the aura of a ferocious beast.

Some of the weaker Soul Beasts, sensing this aura, scattered in fear.

"In such a vast Sunset Forest, how can I not find a Soul Beast around five thousand years old?"

The youth frowned, looking at the Soul Beasts fleeing in all directions.

He had been wandering around Sunset Forest for half a month, but he still hadn't found a Soul Beast suitable for his third Soul Ring.

"Sigh, there aren't even computers or phones to pass the time. Life in this world is truly boring," the young man sighed.

Back then, he was just staying up late to binge-watch dramas, and as a result, he actually ended up in one.

He had transmigrated into the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, becoming the son of the second-in-command, Yu Luomian.

Yu Xiaowei, that was his name in this world. Because he was born late in his father's life, Yu Luomian doted on him exceptionally.

When he turned six and it was time to awaken his Martial Soul, he was still a little nervous. After all, everyone else who transmigrated had systems, had golden fingers, but he had nothing after six years.

What if he awakened a mutated, useless Martial Soul and ended up being kicked out of the family like Yu Xiaogang?

But what he feared most happened. His Martial Soul really did mutate.

Looking at the strange Martial Soul that looked like a tadpole, but had two strong hind legs and an extra-long tail, he couldn't help but want to stab himself.

"What is this thing?"

Yu Luomian also looked disappointed. He had originally placed high hopes on this son, but the result was that he awakened a useless Martial Soul.

Then, in the subsequent soul power test, the results shocked the entire Yu family.

Innate Full Soul Power.

According to the Yu family's years of research on Martial Souls, they had concluded that the magnitude of Innate Soul Power was directly proportional to the strength of the Martial Soul.

This discovery immediately perked up the dispirited Yu Luomian. Since Yu Xiaowei had Innate Full Soul Power, that meant there were two possibilities.

Either he had Twin Martial Souls, with the second Martial Soul being extremely powerful, or his Martial Soul wasn't useless at all, but rather a powerful mutated Martial Soul.

After confirming that Yu Xiaowei didn't have Twin Martial Souls.

Yu Luomian, full of enthusiasm, immediately took him to Sunset Forest and hunted a Soul Beast that was four hundred and twenty years old.

It just so happened to be at the theoretical limit age for the first Soul Ring.

After absorbing the first Soul Ring, Yu Xiaowei's Martial Soul truly changed, as if undergoing an evolution.

His legs became thicker, evolving into two slightly shorter forelimbs. A coral-like dorsal fin sprouted on his back, and his tail became longer, thicker, and more powerful.

Seeing his Martial Soul transform into this new form, not only did Yu Luomian cry, but Yu Xiaowei couldn't help but be moved to tears.

He was all too familiar with this Martial Soul's appearance.

Godzilla!!!

It was the movie he had watched just days before his transmigration, and he never expected it to come along.

When the Godzilla Martial Soul had just finished evolving, Yu Xiaowei, who was only at level 13, couldn't perfectly control it.

So, every time other children in the family awakened their Martial Souls, Godzilla would uncontrollably attach itself.

And at this point in time, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, without a doubt, would undergo a mutation under the influence of nuclear radiation.

For example, five legs, three heads, or seven arms – these kinds of deformed mutations.

At first, the elders of the family didn't realize it was his problem, and they thought the family had gained a new, super Martial Soul.

However, the test results showed that these Martial Souls, besides being ugly, didn't have any enhancements.

At this time, a meticulous elder (Yu Yuanzhen) discovered the problem: every time a bizarre Martial Soul mutation appeared in the family, Yu Xiaowei was always summoning his Martial Soul.

After testing twice, the Yu family added an unspoken rule.

Whenever a child in the family awakened their Martial Soul, Yu Xiaowei had to go out and play. He could go anywhere, but he wasn't allowed to come back and cause trouble for the family.

Six years have passed, and Yu Xiaowei's soul power has reached level 30, stuck at the crucial point of the third Soul Ring.

As for the Godzilla Martial Soul, he could perfectly control it when he obtained his second Soul Ring. However, for safety's sake, during the Martial Soul awakening period, the family would still give him a large sum of allowance to let him go out and play.

He also took this opportunity to come out, preparing to hunt a Soul Beast himself to absorb a Soul Ring.

According to the theory researched by the Yu family, the limit for a third Soul Ring should be 1,760 years.

However, the Godzilla Martial Soul granted Yu Xiaowei an extremely powerful physique. Based on his estimation, his body should be able to handle a Soul Ring of around 5,000 years without any problem.

He had been in Sunset Forest for a day and a night, and the Soul Beasts he had encountered were all a bunch of a few hundred years old, at most a thousand years old, and of no use at all.

Boom——!

Just as Yu Xiaowei was feeling a bit frustrated, a pillar of fire suddenly shot up into the sky nearby. Hearing the sudden roar, it seemed someone had encountered a Soul Beast attack.

Feeling the power of the fire, Yu Xiaowei's expression brightened. At least it was a Soul Beast of over three thousand years.

And it was a Fire Attribute Soul Beast, which was perfect for his Godzilla Martial Soul.

He immediately quickened his pace, dashing towards the direction of the fire.

At this moment, in the forest ahead, Yu Tianheng, with the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon attached, was dragging Dugu Yan, who was half-human, half-snake, and they were fleeing in a sorry state.

Behind them, a huge, crimson scorpion was relentlessly pursuing them, occasionally raising its tail to spew out a thick column of fire.

"Damn it, how did we run into this thing? Yanzi, don't stop, run!"

"Big brother Tianheng, I'm sorry, it's all my fault for being willful, ying ying ying—" Dugu Yan bit her lip, following Yu Tianheng closely, her pretty face already streaked with tears.

Boom—!

As they spoke, a column of fire, three or four times thicker than before, slammed into their feet. The two of them, whose soul power had been almost completely depleted, couldn't dodge this time and were directly blown away.

Dugu Yan's right leg was blown to a bloody mess, and she lay on the ground, crying incessantly.

Yu Tianheng was also shaken until he was disoriented, his limbs weak, unable to stand up at all.

The giant scorpion seized the opportunity and raised its two front claws, quickly approaching the two of them.

"Beast!"

Just as Yu Tianheng resigned himself and closed his eyes, a humanoid Tyrannosaurus rex descended from the sky, blocking their path.

The giant claw that was crashing down was firmly grabbed by him, halting its forward momentum. The scorpion immediately raised its tail hook and spewed a stream of fire.

The humanoid Tyrannosaurus rex laughed heartily, puffed out his chest to take the fire column head-on, then suddenly kicked out, landing a blow on the scorpion's head and sending it flying more than a dozen meters away.

Yu Tianheng, preparing to express his gratitude, looked at the figure before him, and the more he looked, the more familiar the Martial Soul seemed.

Then, a voice he least wanted to hear came over.

"Yo, isn't this my second nephew?"
