Chapter 5 - The Truth of Nexora

The silence in the hidden chamber felt heavy, as if the air itself was waiting for something to be said. Ayan slowly stood up, his body still weak from the energy surge, but his mind more alert than ever. The strange power inside him had not disappeared—it had only become quieter, like a storm resting beneath the surface. Rudra was still catching his breath on the ground, occasionally glancing around as if expecting another attack at any moment. Zyra stood near the edge of the platform, looking out toward the glowing horizon of Nexora, her expression serious and distant.

For a few moments, no one spoke.

Then Ayan broke the silence. "You said I am the key to this world's survival," he said, his voice steady but filled with questions. "I need to know everything. What is Nexora? Why are those machines chasing me? And what is happening to Earth?"

Zyra turned slowly, her glowing eyes locking onto his. There was no hesitation in her voice now. "Nexora is not just a world," she said. "It is the source of all energy. Every form of power—electricity, heat, light—everything originates from here. Long ago, your Earth was directly connected to Nexora. That connection allowed your planet to grow, to evolve, to survive."

Ayan listened carefully, trying to understand.

"But that connection was broken," Zyra continued. "Humans became too dependent on artificial energy. They stopped respecting the natural balance. Over time, the link between Earth and Nexora weakened… and eventually, it collapsed."

Rudra sat up, confused. "So you are saying our energy crisis… is because we got disconnected from this place?"

"Yes," Zyra replied. "Your world is dying because it has lost its source."

Ayan felt a chill run through him. The message from the radio echoed in his mind—thirty days.

"But then why me?" he asked. "Why are they after me?"

Zyra stepped closer. "Because when the connection broke, a small fragment of Nexora's core energy was sent away to protect itself. It searched for a host strong enough to hold it."

Ayan's heartbeat slowed.

"And it chose you."

For a moment, the words felt unreal.

"Wait," Rudra said, pointing at Ayan. "You are telling me he has… the main battery of the universe inside him?"

Zyra did not smile. "Something like that."

Ayan looked down at his hands. The faint glow was still there, barely visible but real. Everything that had happened—the portal, the power, the attacks—suddenly made sense.

Before he could speak again, a deep vibration shook the entire chamber.

The walls flickered.

The ground trembled.

Zyra's expression changed instantly. "No… they found us."

Rudra stood up quickly. "Already?! We just got here!"

A loud sound echoed from above, like something tearing through the sky.

Ayan looked up.

A massive shadow passed over the ceiling.

Zyra spoke in a low voice. "This is not the Sentinels."

The chamber doors suddenly burst open with a powerful blast. A wave of dark energy rushed inside, pushing all of them backward. The lights flickered violently as a figure slowly stepped through the smoke.

He was tall, far taller than any Sentinel. His body was covered in dark, shifting armor that seemed alive, moving like liquid shadow. His eyes burned with deep crimson light, and the air around him felt heavy, almost suffocating.

Every step he took echoed with power.

Rudra whispered, "Okay… that is definitely the boss."

Zyra's voice dropped. "No… this is worse."

The figure stopped in the center of the chamber.

Then he spoke.

"Finally," his voice echoed, deep and controlled. "The energy has revealed itself."

Ayan felt his body freeze. The presence of this being was overwhelming.

"Who are you?" he asked, forcing himself to stand straight.

The figure looked directly at him.

"I am Xyron," he said. "The ruler of Nexora's true power."

Zyra stepped forward instantly, placing herself between Ayan and Xyron. "You will not take him."

Xyron let out a faint, cold laugh. "You cannot stop what is already destined."

With a single movement of his hand, a wave of dark energy shot forward, slamming Zyra into the wall. She fell hard, unable to stand immediately.

"ZYRA!" Ayan shouted.

Rudra stepped back, fear clearly visible. "We are in serious trouble…"

Xyron walked closer, his eyes fixed only on Ayan.

"The core energy belongs to Nexora," he said. "And Nexora belongs to me."

Ayan clenched his fists. The energy inside him began to react again, stronger, sharper.

"I won't let you take it," he said.

Xyron stopped.

For a moment, silence filled the room.

Then, slowly, he smiled.

"Good," he said. "Show me your power."

The ground beneath them cracked.

Dark energy rose.

And in that moment—

The real battle was about to begin.
