Chapter 1 - the mystery of the lost letter

There was a village named Shalbon. It was surrounded by green trees, the sound of birds, and morning fog that covered the entire place. In that village lived a young girl named Meera. She was only twelve years old, but her curiosity was endless.

Meera's favorite place was the old post office of the village. It had been closed for many years, but she often went there and sat quietly. The dusty letterboxes, broken table, and the smell of old papers—all seemed to hide countless stories.

One afternoon, when everyone in the village was asleep, Meera quietly went to the post office. The door was slightly open. As she entered, she noticed an old wooden box that she had never seen before.

"How did this get here?" she wondered.

Slowly, she opened the box. Inside, there were many old letters. But one letter caught her attention. On it was written: "For the one who will one day find this."

Her curiosity grew stronger. She opened the letter and began to read.

It said: "I don't know who you are, but if this letter reaches you, it means you are brave. There is an old secret hidden under the banyan tree of this village. If you wish to know it, reach there before evening."

Meera's heart started beating fast. Should she go? Or should she return home?

In the end, curiosity won.

Before evening, she went to the big banyan tree in the village. The place felt a little eerie. The wind was blowing, and the leaves were rustling.

Suddenly, she noticed a small iron box half-buried in the ground. With great effort, she pulled it out.

When she opened it, she was surprised—inside were some old photographs and a diary.

She opened the diary and started reading. It told the story of an old postman who had delivered letters to many people all his life, but he could never send a letter to his own daughter.

Because his daughter had gone missing when she was very young.

On the last page of the diary, it was written: "If someone finds this diary, please help me find my daughter. Her name was Meera…"

Meera's eyes widened. Was this a coincidence? Or was there some truth behind it?

She ran home and told everything to her mother. Tears filled her mother's eyes.

Gently, her mother said, "When you were little, we found you and raised you as our own. But we never knew your true identity…"

Meera stood silently. It felt as if she had discovered her own story.

The next day, they went to the elders of the village. After asking around, they learned that many years ago, a postman's daughter had indeed gone missing.

Meera finally understood—she had not just found a letter, she had found her past.

From that day on, Meera made a promise. She would grow up to be like the postman and help deliver people's lost stories to them.

Because sometimes, a single letter can change an entire life.
