he next day when I arrived in class I sat down at my usual seat which Starlight and Jake sat on the opposite sides of me.
[Zandor]: "Hey why is everyone staring at us like we are an odd trio."
[Jake]: "well I am a Royal, not just any royal I am in the Acroneonroyal family which is one of the major families of one of the seven demon lords plus I am sitting next to Starlight which you know is considered an outcast and a curse due to her magic control plus I am sitting next to you which your wearing a half-breed uniform thats why we are getting the eye from most of the royals other there."
Acroneon huh must be the family that Arista leads and judging how people are staring and some whispering about jake sitting next to me and starlight the family must have a lot of influence I wonder how Arista does things in her family, back when I first created the seven demon lords Arista was naturally caring and always helped when needed even if she was a higher rank then all the other lower rank demons.
[Zandor]: "So is the system for how they rank Demons different then they were 2 millennia ago or is it the same."
[Starlight]: "It's different then it was 2 millennia ago even though there's no books on how they ranked demons back then in the library so I don't know for certain but I'm guessing it is, since you're the demon king I'm guessing you know how demons were ranked back then."
[Zandor]: "Demons were ranked on how much total power and potential they have in their core, like for example if you were to have little power but yet very high potential you would be ranked accordingly, but if you were to have very high power and little potential it would be the same as i said the first time, and then you would battle other demons to show how you would overcome certain situations against stronger opponents."
After I finished explaining Starlight looked intrigued at how demons were measured 2 millennia ago, Jake on the other hand didn't really look interested like he was the total opposite of the book nerd Starlight.
[Jake]: "Well that's not how they do things anymore Demon King, they start by measuring your combat ability to see how good you would do in a battle by using a tournament, then they test how much magic you have using a magic crystal, which they use another tournament afterword to overall test what demon rank you would be and after that it is unchangeable once your at that rank your stuck like that until the end of your life."
I see, so what Jake is saying is that once they give your rank you're stuck like that until the end of your life I'll hold back so I don't break the magic crystal so I don't gain attention, surely revealing the demon king is alive would start a war
Starlight with an exasperated, sarcastic voice and tone says
[Starlight]: "Don't tell me you're going to hold back, that look suggests that you are."
I chuckle a bit at her response
[Zandor]: "quite funny for a book nerd, didn't know you could be a comedian Starlight."
Starlight's cheeks flush a bit pink at embarrassment and says in an angry tone but has no real bite behind it.
[Starlight]: "H-hey…I wasn't trying to be funny, y-you jerk!."
Right as she is done talking the teacher walks in, her presence casting a mix of authority throughout the room making everyone silent including the royals which were the type to keep on talking if it didn't concern themselves or if it didn't concern someone they considered important.
The teacher had short black hair, her eyes were purple shaped like cat eyes, she was wearing dark blue jeans that complimented her waist, her shirt was a mix of blue, black, red, and green that revealed a bit much on her upper chest which her upper chest was revealed, her cleavage on almost full display.
[???]: "Hello everyone, I'll be your teacher for today since your actual teacher didn't show up today, but first introduce yourselves so I know each and everyone of your names."
After each and every student introduced themselves, each talking about their name, type of magic they wield, where they came from, and what family they are a part of, after they each finished introducing themselves, it all came down to me and starlight to introduce themself.
Starlight stood up first and started talking in a somewhat loud, clear voice
[Starlight]: "I am Starlight Aeron, I Wield Ice magic, and I live in a small little house Southwest from the academy and I am in the Giege family which specializes in ice magic."
After Starlight sat down It was my turn to go next which I stood up calmly and with a knowing smirk I said.
[Zandor]: "If you are saying to introduce us students then why not introduce yourself first because some of us in this room do not know who you are."
After hearing me say that, the teacher looks impressed yet arrogantly at me and with a scornful, mocking tone she says.
[???]: "My my~....it is truly impressive that a half-breed like yourself would dare to be so bold to me, but since you asked I am Arista, one of the Seven Demon Lords, and leader of the Acroneon family. So the next time you speak so boldly to me I will tear you limb from limb."
Arista huh, she seems different than she was 2 millennia ago, she is acting like Jake did, like every other royal in the academy, what exactly happened to her while I was gone?. I need to figure that out soon because if every other demon lord acts this way then it'll be a problem.
After I was done Introducing myself, I made up what type of magic I had. I said "Creation Magic" and I also said that I am not part of any family, and the rest of the things I said were the truth.
[Arista]: "Now then, you all will be testing your combat ability in an all out brawling tournament, just to make sure we will put a magic suppressant bracelet on each of your wrists just to make sure none of you can use any magic."
A student raises their hand which appears to be a royal
[Arista]: "you may speak Galeot."
Galeot with his seemingly confident demeanor, his hair a shade of gold flowing down to his shoulder's, his eyes light green wearing glasses, wearing a reddish black shirt and white pants says in a mocking tone.
[Galeot]: "How about we let Zandor face every single royal academy student in a one vs all brawl what do you say about that Mrs. Arista."
Arista, with a look of interest at Galeot's proposal, says with calm, composed tone.
[Arista]: "alright then, I will accept after all what can a half-breed do to a royal, plus he also might not be good at combat at all~."
Galeot looked at me with an arrogant smirk and with an arrogant, cocky tone.
[Galeot]: "you better get ready half-breed, we royals don't go easy on filth like yourself, you better call jake over there to save your own ass, you probably begged Jake to be on your team so that you can have someone powerful and influential."
After class as I'm walking in the hallway suddenly something comes flying at me faster than sound which I caught with ease.
[Zandor]: "What's this? wait I recognize this, its the spear of Kanidu which can move at whatever sound the user chooses for it to move. Who threw it at me and where did it come from?."
A woman suddenly comes into view out of the darkness of the hallway in a mocking, surprised tone with a little bit of interest in them.
[Arista]: "How amusing, no regular first year could've blocked the spear of Kanidu even if I made it move faster than sound, very interesting your no normal first year are you?~"
[Zandor]: "What do you mean I'm just a normal first year student? I just got lucky, that's really all to it, I just got the timing correct based on intuition."
In a calm, questioning she says
[Arista]: "you do realize that normal first year students don't have the skill to do that, and I can see that the spear doesn't want to return to me, it was crafted by my lord Zalos he made it specifically for me it should always return to the owner, and you seem to know about it only me, zalos, and the other demon lords know about its existence, so how do you know about."
Damn she caught me, her observation skills are the best in the seven demon lords I should've known I couldn't fool her, lying to her is useless because she'll be able to see through it just like that one time I tried lying to her for eating her food when she punished me for it by not making me eat for a whole week that was a nightmare.
[Arista]: "wait, I don't sense your magic and I don't sense your core either and the only other person I couldn't sense magic or their core was my lord and master Zalos, but he's long gone the holy sword that pierced him, permanently killed him so it is impossible that he reincarnated, my master's willpower to do something was unmatched, if he wanted to do it no one could or would stop him."
I forgot to mention that she remembers every little detail about me. It's almost irritating and yet comforting. She excels at her photographic memory; she can remember anything that happened from her birth to the present day. That means she has 2 millennia of memories stored in her brain. Which is a bad and good thing because she can remember every little thing I did before I sacrificed myself. I almost want to punch her.
[Arista]: "Are ... .you the Demon King because I have come down to that hypothesis and deduction because there's no other way that you aren't…just tell me!, please."
Arista says in a quiet vulnerable voice and is trembling a bit while tearing up
[Zandor]: "Yes I am the Demon King sorry to keep you waiting."
The next day As I was walking into the tournament I saw about every royal student first years, second years, and even third year students. All of them had the same magic bracelet which restricted magic to whoever wears the bracelet but unfortunately it isn't able to restrict my magic since the bracelet was designed to only restrict demons that are weaker than the seven demon lords which means it has no effect on me.
[Galeot]: "it seems the hybrid has actually shown up, everybody in the whole demon realm is watching except for six of the seven demon lords, only Mrs. Arista is present."
I look to the highest spot and Arista is watching on the balcony of the stadium, the highest point in the whole stadium and only reserved for the seven demon lords. Then I remembered the last conversation before I left the academy for the day.
[Arista]: "even though I came to my conclusion that you are the Demon King, I need you to prove it in the exam, get all perfect scores in the exam and I will consider you the Demon King."
[Zandor]: "Still need proof huh even though you already deduced that I am the Demon King by witnessing what just happened right now with the spear."
I toss the spear back to her which came right back into her hands.
[Zandor]: "and one more thing, what's with the different attitude, you were always kind, what happened in the last 2 millennia when I was gone."
She was silent for a moment before she finally decided to speak with an honest, sincere tone and voice.
[Arista]: "A lot of things happened when you were gone, every family went into war especially my family, until after about a couple centuries the conflict died down, every other demon lord including me thought that you couldn't come back after being stabbed by the holy sword, so even if your core was the original and cannot be copied we founded the academy in hopes of raising at least one promising student to be the new demon king."
[Zandor]: "All seven of you decided on that even though if that student would've come and I wouldn't have come back like I did, that student would never be as strong as I ever was and he would probably corrupt himself into power and destroy the demon realm along with him."
Arista with a look of sadness and acceptance at what I said nods in confirmation.
[Arista]: "You're right, he would never be like you, not just in power or strength, but in leadership and maturity."
[Zandor]: "So what will you continue to do Arista, will you continue to follow me or separate and go your own path, you don't have to answer right away but I will want your answer after the exam."
Suddenly A Blueish black lightning bolt shot at me hitting me, knocking me back a bit, it was strange nothing could really hurt me since I had resistance to any attack that was weaker than myself, the same applies to the time when Jake used Gigadiem
[Galeot]: "You seem surprised that it hurt you, were you expecting it to not even scratch you?~ what an arrogant filthy hybrid."
Just like that I started to grin
[Zandor]: "Yes, I kinda expected that but since I don't have time for that I'm going to take it seriously just enough to where you don't die alright. Since I am just limited to my own physicality I'm going to end the fight in just 5 steps."
With a mix of confusion and curiosity but with a mocking tone says
[Galeot]: "5 steps?~ you can't possible win the battle against every royal including our 2nd and 3rd years just give up It's usle–"
With my first step the ground shakes creating a mini earthquake that starts to destroy the surroundings but not the arena itself making everybody panic and the royals start losing their balance.
[Galeot]: "wh-what is this?!..this power."
With my second step the earth splits apart causing shockwaves across the entire country making massive dust clouds everywhere across the country, making the weather destabilize
[Arista]: "St-Stop my lord if you keep going, you're going to destroy the entire Demon Realm then there won't be anything left to rule!"
With my third step, the demon realm shakes tremendously threatening to destroy the sun itself and all life on earth.
As I was about to take my fourth step Arista teleported in front of me and started to kneel.
[Arista]: "Please my lord don't destroy the Demon Realm, please my lord if you take all five steps you're going to actually destroy the demon realm."
She has a point: if I do take all five of my steps, the infinite and vastness of the Demon Realm will be ultimately destroyed. It is said that the demon realm along with every other realm is an independent infinite universe governed by its own separate concepts of space and time, so destroying a realm along with its concepts of space and time won't affect the other's.
[Zandor]: "hmm…I see I miscalculated. I thought I would defeat them in five steps but it only took three steps."
They all laid on the ground passed out due to the amount of pressure and power except for one royal standing up barely holding himself together
[Zedon]: "D-Don't…understimate a third year…I am Zedon…I am a master of endurance and Combat."
[Zandor]: "Come at me then if you say that you're good at combat and endurance, I might even reward you if you do good."
After hearing me say that Zedon charges at me ready to strike a blow and after he does, I am unaffected by his attack. But then he started to use martial arts which I would counter pretty easily as he isn't very good at martial arts.
[Zandor]: "not bad, but not good either. Your hand to hand combat needs some work but I can see some potential."
Later after the tournament the surrounding area was fixed by Arista's Restoration Magic which is able to restore damage only done recently so fixing the damage I had done wasn't a problem for her.
The Exam Proceeded accordingly, every student got their magic capacity tested and how good they are and overall getting their demon rank, except for me because…Well not Quite I got the Rank—
[Starlight]: "Hey! You listening to me, you jerk."
[Zandor]: "Of course I am why wouldn't I listen to you, you're good to listen to once in a while."
As soon as I said that her cheeks flush a bit pink at embarrassment and a hint of something else and mutters.
[Starlight]: "wh-whatever….Hmph."
And as we are walking together to my house Starlight gets closer to me, and as the sun sets I think about all that's happened and there's still questions to be asked, where exactly are the other Demon Lords, and why only Arista has revealed herself.
