Chapter 8 - The First Login

The digital silence of Unit 707 was absolute, broken only by the microscopic hum of the Comet "Astraeus" Diamond-Class cooling fans. Inside the obsidian pod, Arthur Kim wasn't just playing a game; he was executing a multi-layered heist on reality itself.

Before he had even touched the capsule's power button, Arthur had spent weeks in the physical world preparing. His pocket money wasn't just for the 50,000,000 Won price tag; it was to refine Ciel, his autonomous Divine AI. Ciel was his scalpel, and Satisfy's source code was the patient.

"If I take the Pagma's Successor class, the world breaks," Arthur mused, his consciousness floating in the golden void of the login screen.

"Grid is the pillar that holds the future together. If I remove him, I lose my roadmap. I don't need his life. I just need his talent."

Arthur's plan was elegant in its brutality. He wouldn't steal classes; he would Plunder them.

"Ciel," Arthur commanded. "Initialize the Identity Overwrite. We're bypassing the 'Commoner' birth-spawn."

"Now," Arthur's mental voice sharpened. "The anchor. Set my starting coordinates at Lomorg, capital of Lubana. We aren't going to a starter village. We're going to the grave."

"With 99.9% sync and your hacking? I'll take those odds," Arthur whispered.

[Welcome to Satisfy]

With the notification, Arthur closed his eyes, finding himself in the character creation screen. "Keep it original and name it Arthur," He said as the system processed the request.

[Your character is successfully created. Happy gaming!] the system notification chimed as Arthur opened his eyes.

The world materialized with staggering clarity. The scent of ancient stone and the oppressive humidity of the Lubana Kingdom hit Arthur's senses. He wasn't in a cozy beginner's zone like Patrian. He was in Lomorg, the fortress city.

He stood in the center of a bustling town square, his new avatar fully materializing in front of him. The vibrant world of Satisfy stretched out around him, filled with the sounds of NPCs interacting, the market vendors calling out, and other players preparing for their adventures. It was all so immersive, and Arthur, now inhabiting the body of his character, felt he once again traveled through.

He looked around, and then going to an side, he opened his character screen.

"Hmm, basic," Arthur mumbled as he closed the character creation screen. He first decided to head to the library to farm some Intelligence points, a thing common. in Manhwas. Though in Overgeared, it wasn't as mentioned, but he can try, Also since Legendary Great magician was a magician class, it would be better to farm some Intelligence points to get ahead. Not to mention he has one other motive to go to Library.

Standing in a shadowed alleyway, Arthur looked down at his basic linen clothes. To any NPC, he looked like a beggar.

"Ciel, the map. Guide me to the Lomorg grand Library."

Arthur moved with the precision of a ghost. Thanks to the Astraeus, there was zero input lag. He could feel the texture of the cobblestones through his thin shoes, allowing him to adjust his weight and move silently until he reached the the Lomorg grand library.

He wasn't looking for a king of Lubana. He was looking for the man history had tried to forget, The Undefeated King, Madra.

The mahogany doors of the Lomorg Grand Library stood like the silent, wooden sentinels of a bygone age, their surfaces etched with the complex history of the Lubana Kingdom.

Arriving at the library, he walked inside..

"Can I help you?" a voice asked, and Arthur turned to find a cute girl leading him.

"Yes, I came here to read some books," Arthur said, as the girl smiled.

"I'm the assistant librarian here, Nira. Nice to meet you," she said, shaking his hand. "To read here, you'll need a Library Membership Card. It will cost ten silver coins," she added sweetly.

Arthur paid her, using some of the beginner's coins he had received from the newbie gift pack, which included a basic Iron sword and 100 silver coins. He handed her ten silver coins, and she gave him the Library Pass.

[You have gained the Common item: Library Pass]

[Using it, you can access the Library of Lomorg]

Arthur nodded and chose to explore the Kingdom's library. Though it is now a territory of Sharan Empire, he is not interested in the rich history of the Kingdom of Lubana, but in the legendary class-Madara Successor, and the clue to obtain it is in the Library.

These quests have some peculiar requirements. Ciel already scanned Satisfy files and know where that old Sheath is, but to trigger class change quest, he needed to trigger the location inquiry quest from the library. If he go directly, then the class change quest won't trigger.

Just like First rank Exolprer Skunk Discovered Northern end caves, but he didn't trigger Pagma's rare book quest. Grid with 'Eral Ashur's Secret Request' quest was able to trigger Pagma's Rare book quest.

"Time to dive in and see the rich history of the Kingdom," Arthur mumbled as he went ahead and began reading the books.

He first picked up a book on the history of the Lubana Kingdom. As he read, and after some time he closed the book, a notification rang out.

[Your knowledge has increased by reading the book.]

[You have gained +1 Intelligence.]

"Hmm, stats can increase like that," Arthur mumbled as he continued reading. However, as he finished another book, no notification appeared. Picking up a third book, he began to read again, and then....

[Your knowledge has increased by reading the book.]

[You have gained +1 Intelligence.]

"So, it doubled," Arthur muttered. At first, it was 1 Intelligence point per book, then it became 1 point for every two books. Then it's become 1 intelligence per three books, then it came back to 1 intelligence per book.

Over the course of three days, Arthur read relentlessly, completing over 189 books in the library.

[Your knowledge has increased tremendously.]

[You have gained +48 Intelligence (total gain) for reading 189 books.]

[You have unlocked the title: Scholar of Lubana.]

[Title Effect: Intelligence +10, Mana Regeneration +5%)

"Finally," Arthur muttered, closing the last book. He stretched, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "This title and stat boost were worth the effort. Now, let's see how far this takes me."

Though inwardly disappointed by the relatively small increase in his Intelligence, just a total of 68, with 48 from the books and 10 from the title. And 10 from the beginning.

Arthur knew all players' actions were monitored in real-time, after all, and it wouldn't do to show any signs of dissatisfaction in a game world.

"By the way," he mumbled, "the books mentioned a special cave, and I even got a quest for it." Arthur ignored the quest for the time being, having received it in the middle of his binge-reading, planing to see it until he finished reading all the books.

[King Madara Burial Cave]

[You have read about the cave where the legendary King Madara used to visit and buried after his death.]

[Go and see if this cave really exists.]

[Time Limit: None]

[Reward: Continuation of quest]

Arthur then opened the map to see the location of the cave and frowned. "Hmm, it's in an area with level 80-100 monsters, I need to prepare first."

Arthur stepped out of the library and into the biting, thin mountain air of Lomorg. He wasn't the same player who had entered a day ago.

He now possessed the map, the specific atmospheric data of the Howling Caves, and a five-month head start on the man who would have been his rival.

While Youngwoo was likely swinging a greatsword in a dark hole, complaining about the heat and the cost of bread, Arthur was standing on the precipice of a legendary legacy.

He adjusted his basic linen shirt, feeling the "Vitality" of the Diamond-class capsule keeping his senses sharp as a razor. He looked toward the northern peaks, where the wind began to roar.

The "Chaos" was no longer a plan; it was a physical trajectory. He had the intellect to navigate the libraries of the world and the vision to see the kings buried beneath the dirt.

As he began the long trek toward the Northern End, Arthur wasn't just walking into a cave; he was walking into the role of a god. The world of Satisfy had a script, and he had just burned the last copy.
