Chapter 1 - The Blue Diary and Two Cities

Akash and Nilima met in the corner of an old library. Akash was an architecture student who looked for perfection in every design, while Nilima was a fine arts student who saw beauty in messy splashes of color. Their love was like a quiet river—steady, deep, and peaceful. They spent their afternoons sharing coffee, walking under a single umbrella during the rain, and completing each other's unfinished thoughts.

However, life had a different plan. Nilima received a scholarship for higher studies in a country thousands of miles away. Suddenly, the distance between them wasn't just a few blocks, but oceans and continents.

The long-distance struggle began. There was a ten-hour time difference; when Akash woke up to the sun, Nilima was falling asleep under the moon. They spent hours on video calls, but a digital screen could never replace the warmth of a real touch.

To keep the spark alive, Akash decided to do something special. He started writing in a blue diary every single day. He didn't send the letters; instead, he recorded his daily thoughts, his dreams of their future, and the little things he missed about her. He wrote when he was happy, and he wrote even more when they had misunderstandings.

Three years passed. The distance had created a wall of silence between them. Nilima grew distant, thinking Akash had moved on, while Akash feared Nilima had found a new life. When Nilima finally returned home, the air between them was cold and filled with unspoken hurt.

At the airport, Akash didn't say much. He drove her home in silence. But before she got out of the car, he handed her the Blue Diary.

Nilima opened it that night. She saw three years of consistency. Every page was a testament to his loyalty. Even on the days they fought, Akash had written: "I am angry today, but I still love you more than yesterday."

On the very last page, it said:

> "Distance can separate bodies, but it has no power over two souls that have already become one. I waited for you in every word of this book."

>

Tears blurred Nilima's vision as she realized that while the world had changed, his heart had stayed exactly where she left it. The distance hadn't broken them; it had only proven that their love was timeless.
