Chapter 2 - You're my lover

🎬 You're My Lover Day 3(skipped day 2 😝😜) — Friday

📍 SMK Puchong Utama 1 — Talent Show

🌅 Morning — "The Decision"

Posters everywhere.

"SMK Talent Show — Sign Ups Open!"

Students crowded the board.

"Eh you joining ah?""No way bro I shy—"

A hand reached forward.

Sign.

Name written clearly:

Yasmi Nguyen.

No hesitation.

Behind her—

"YOU SIGNED UP??"

Ian almost choked.

"You didn't even think??"

Yasmi shrugged.

"Why need to think?"

Daisy blinked.

"…what are you performing?"

Yasmi turned, slight smirk.

"Dance."

Tim nodded slowly.

"…good luck to the stage."

☀️ Afternoon — "Rehearsal"

School hall.

Empty stage.

Lights off except one spotlight.

Yi En sat on a chair, adjusting her guitar.

"You sure about this song?"

Yasmi stretched casually.

"Yeah."

Yi En started playing.

🎸 Soft guitar intro…

Yasmi stepped forward.

And suddenly—

She changed.

Her expression sharpened. Her movements became controlled.

Every step matched the rhythm perfectly.

Even with just rehearsal—

It already felt like a performance.

Yi En stopped mid-way.

"…you're going to kill it."

Yasmi just smirked.

"I know."

🌙 Night — "The Performance"

The hall was packed.

Students screaming.Lights flashing.Teachers pretending to be strict but also excited.

"Next performance—"

"From Class 4A…"

"YASMI NGUYEN!"

Cheers exploded.

Some nervous.

Some excited.

Some already scared.

Lights dimmed.

Spotlight on stage.

Yi En walked out first.

Sat down.

🎸 The guitar started.

Soft. Smooth.

Then—

Yasmi stepped into the light.

Silence.

For one second—

The entire hall went quiet.

Then she moved.

Slow at first.

Every step controlled.

Eyes focused like nothing else existed.

No fear.

No hesitation.

Just her.

The music built.

Her movements got sharper.

Stronger.

Confident.

She wasn't just dancing—

She was owning the stage.

In the audience—

Tim leaned forward.

"…she's serious."

Ian: "BRO SHE ALWAYS SERIOUS—"

Then—

That part.

The beat dropped slightly.

The rhythm changed.

Yasmi turned.

Body following the music naturally—

She did the hip movement.

Smooth.

Controlled.

Bold.

Not forced.

Just… part of the dance.

Audience:

"…."

Then—

"WOAH—""EH—"

Some boys immediately looked away.

Some froze.

Some turned red.

Back row—

Tim blinked.

"…okay."

Beside him—

Luki froze.

Completely.

Brain stopped working.

"…."

He immediately lifted his hand—

Covered his eyes.

"…I can't."

Tim looked at him.

"…seriously?"

Luki's ears slowly turned pink.

Then red.

He was NOT okay.

Inside his head:

Why is she like this. Why is she doing this. Why can't I look away.

He pressed his hand harder against his face.

"…this is illegal."

Tim almost laughed.

"You're so gone."

On stage—

Yasmi didn't notice anything.

Didn't care.

Didn't look at the crowd.

She was in her own world.

Every move clean.

Every beat hit perfectly.

Final move—

She stopped.

Pose held.

Breathing steady.

Silence.

One second.

Two—

The entire hall exploded.

"WOOOOOO—""CRAZY AH—""4A ON TOP—"

Yasmi straightened.

Expression calm.

Like it was nothing.

🌌 After the Show — "Realization"

Outside the hall.

Cool night air.

Students still talking about her performance.

Yasmi leaned against the wall, drinking water.

Unbothered.

Footsteps approached.

She didn't look.

"…you did well."

She turned.

Luki.

Avoiding eye contact.

Still slightly red.

She smirked.

"Didn't you cover your eyes?"

He froze.

"…you saw?"

"Peripheral vision."

He looked away.

"…it was too much."

Yasmi stepped closer.

Tilted her head slightly.

"Too much?"

He nodded slowly.

"…yeah."

Pause.

"…but I still watched."

Yasmi blinked once.

Then smiled.

Small.

Real.

"Good."
