We all headed over to the food court and even though I was still happy to still get to hang out with Nelly and her kids, I couldn't help but still feel agitated with the way one of the "biker mice from mars " were looking at Nelly. Something within me twinged that was until Freddy placed a hand on my shoulder and asked, "need to talk"? I nodded "sure" I turned towards Nelly and everyone and stated, " Freddy N' I will go grab the food, be right back " as Freddy and I approached the counter, he turned to me and said, " you alright there, Monty "? "I don't know, why"? I retorted "I think I'm malfunctionin " "hmm" Freddy answered. " I do not detect anything, so could it be something more emotional and not physical "? "I guess " I said flatly. "Wanna talk about it "? He asked. I recalled everything that transpired and explained it to him. What he said next hit me like a hammer on the nail. "Well, from what you're telling me sounds like jealousy, but I don't think you'll have to anything to worry about " "How so"? I asked.
"I believe that Vinnie, the one with the half a mask on, has already someone special to him" now that I thought about it, I did notice the girl that Nelly arrived with earlier, was with Vinnie since they got here. And the only thing that they did was asked Nelly and her kids if they were okay, making sure that nobody was hurt no different than what I was doing here. "I think you should maybe ask Nelly if she'd like to take a walk with you or something the two of you could do alone together " he suggested. "Well, guess I'll give it a try " I sighed. So we made It back to the table with the food and drinks in our hands, as we were sitting down to eat, I overheard throttle and his pals inquiring about Roxanne's race way, which was a big plus for me since Roxy's naturally competitive, that could open up some space for me to make a possible move. So, after everyone ate, we head to the raceway where Roxy, throttle, Modo and Vinnie were about to race each other. Nelly and the others were watching from the bleachers til I turn to her and asked, " miss Nelly, would ya'h like t'a take a small walk with me "? " sure" she said. " I need to do my rounds check anyway " " then let's be off, sweet cheeks " I said happily.
"Danny, watch your sister " I heard her told her son. " Kay, mom" he called back. " Don't worry, we got them " Charlie replied. So, we left the raceway, went past the east and west arcade rooms, it was a peaceful walk, just the of us, then I looked over to her and said " so, tell me bout ya'h self, sweetheart " " like what "? She asked. " You're a mother o' two kids, does yer husband not like fun"? I asked because if she had children, then why was there no mention of her kid's dad? " It's not that he doesn't do fun, it's because my husband, their dad isn't with us anymore " she said with a sad expression on her face.
"Oh, ma' apologies " I said sincerely. " It's fine, he passed away a few years ago while on a job site, it was a terrible accident " she responded with a sad lonely smile on her face. I could tell it was something not easy for her to talk about. "So, what things ya'h like and dislike "? I asked. "Well, I love animals, art, music, and fashion designing " she started to say. " I don't like anchovies, anything too spicy and fake people, what about you "? She asked. "I love music, spicy foods, swimming N' golf" I said. " m'a dislikes are fake people, annoying people N' assholes " "oh" she replied. "What are your favorite colors "? I asked. "Black, white, red, pink, purple and green " she replied. "Yours"? "Green N' purple " I said.
"Seems like we things in common " she said with a small laugh. "Seems so " I said with a warm smile. I was enjoying our conversation til I overheard the loudspeaker announced, "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Freddy and the gang will be performing in 10 minutes, everyone, please make your way to the atrium as the show will be starting soon " "well" I said "we better get goin, ya'h Comin"? "Yeah" she replied. So, we headed towards the atrium to meet up with everyone. As we approached backstage, I noticed Nelly walking towards her children checking in on them and making sure that all was well. "See y'all in tha audience "? I asked with hope they'd stay. "Without a doubt " Nelly and Charlie says as they headed towards the midsection rows while me and the rest of the gang took our places on the stage lift as the music began to play.
