Chapter 1 - “She Married Me for Revenge… But Fell in Love”

Aarav was standing outside a big office building…

Holding a file in his hand, hoping for a job.

But luck wasn't on his side.

"You're not qualified," the manager said coldly.

Aarav walked out silently…

used to rejection.

Just then…

a black luxury car stopped in front of him.

The window rolled down…

and a girl looked at him.

Sharp eyes. Confident attitude.

Kiara Malhotra.

"Get in," she said.

Aarav was confused…

but something about her voice made him sit inside.

Inside the car…

Kiara looked straight into his eyes.

"I need a husband."

Aarav almost choked.

"What…?"

"It's a contract marriage," she said calmly.

"Six months. I'll pay you more money than you've ever seen."

Aarav stayed silent.

"Why me?" he asked.

Kiara smirked—

"Because you're poor… and you need money."

Those words hurt…

but they were true.

Aarav looked down at his empty wallet…

and then back at her.

"What do I have to do?" he asked.

Kiara leaned closer and said softly—

"Just pretend to love me…"

Cliffhanger:

Why does Kiara need this fake marriage?

What is she hiding?

And can Aarav really keep his heart out of it...

The Hidden Truth

The car stopped in front of a huge mansion.

Aarav stepped out… still confused.

"From today, this is your home," Kiara said.

Everything felt unreal.

Inside the house…

Servants greeted Kiara respectfully.

But when they looked at Aarav…

their eyes were full of questions.

"Who is he?"

Kiara held Aarav's hand suddenly and said—

"He's my husband."

Aarav was shocked…

but stayed silent.

Later that night…

Aarav couldn't control himself anymore.

"Tell me the truth," he said.

"Why me? Why this marriage?"

Kiara stood near the window…

her face serious for the first time.

After a long silence… she spoke—

"This marriage is not about you…

It's about revenge."

Aarav frowned.

"Revenge?"

Kiara turned towards him…

"My father wants me to marry a businessman's son…

to expand his empire."

Her eyes filled with anger.

"But that man… ruined someone's life."

Aarav stepped closer—

"What do you mean?"

Kiara's voice became heavy…

"He destroyed my best friend's family…

took everything from them."

She clenched her fists.

"And now… he wants to marry me?"

Aarav finally understood…

"So this marriage is to stop that alliance?"

Kiara nodded.

"Yes. If I'm already married…

my father can't force me."

Silence filled the room…

But there was something else too…

Pain.

Aarav looked at her carefully.

For the first time…

he didn't see a rich, arrogant girl.

He saw a broken heart.

"Fine," Aarav said.

"I'll help you."

Kiara looked at him… surprised.

"Why?"

Aarav gave a small smile—

"Because I know how it feels…

when someone takes everything from you."

For a moment…

their eyes met again.

But this time…

it wasn't just a deal anymore.

Something had changed.

The First Clash

The next morning…

The entire Malhotra mansion was in chaos.

Servants were running here and there.

Everyone looked tense.

Because today…

Kiara's father was coming back.

Aarav adjusted his simple shirt nervously.

"Relax," Kiara said.

"Just act like my husband."

"Easy for you to say," Aarav replied.

"I've never even acted before."

Kiara smirked—

"Then start now… Mr. Husband."

A few moments later…

A black luxury car entered the mansion.

The atmosphere turned silent.

Mr. Raj Malhotra stepped out.

A powerful businessman…

a man people feared.

He walked inside…

And the moment his eyes fell on Aarav—

He stopped.

"Who is this?" his voice was cold.

Kiara stepped forward and held Aarav's hand.

"He's my husband."

Silence.

Heavy… dangerous silence.

"What nonsense is this?"

Mr. Malhotra's voice thundered.

"You were supposed to marry Mr. Khanna's son!"

Kiara stood firm.

"I'm already married."

Mr. Malhotra's eyes turned towards Aarav.

From head to toe… he judged him.

"A middle-class boy?" he said with disgust.

"You think you're worthy of my daughter?"

Aarav felt the insult…

But this time—

he didn't lower his eyes.

"I may not be rich like you," Aarav said calmly…

"but I respect relationships."

Kiara looked at him… surprised.

This wasn't the same quiet boy anymore.

Mr. Malhotra laughed sarcastically.

"Respect doesn't build empires, boy… money does."

He stepped closer…

"And I can destroy you in a second."

The room turned tense.

But Aarav didn't move.

"Maybe," Aarav said…

"But I'm not afraid anymore."

Kiara's heart skipped a beat.

For the first time…

someone stood against her father.

Mr. Malhotra smiled slightly—

"Interesting…"

Then he looked at Kiara and said—

"Fine. If he's your husband…"

"Then prove it."

Kiara frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Mr. Malhotra's voice turned sharp—

"In one week… I want to see if this marriage is real."

Shock spread across the room.

One week…

To prove their fake marriage.

The entire mansion felt like a battlefield…

One week.

Just seven days to prove a fake marriage.

But the problem was—

Mr. Malhotra didn't trust them at all.

Kiara pulled Aarav into her room.

"We're in trouble," she said.

Aarav crossed his arms—

"Your father isn't easy to fool."

Kiara sighed—

"He has people watching us… everywhere."

Aarav frowned.

"Spies?"

Kiara nodded slowly.

"So from now on…" she said softly,

"We have to act real. Every second."

Aarav looked at her—

"How real?"

Kiara stepped closer…

so close that Aarav could feel her breath.

"Very real…"

For a moment…

everything went silent.

Their eyes locked.

What started as a deal…

was slowly turning into something else.

Suddenly…

The door opened.

A servant stood there—

"Sir is calling both of you."

Downstairs…

Mr. Malhotra was sitting calmly.

But his eyes were sharp.

"Sit," he ordered.

Aarav and Kiara sat together.

Mr. Malhotra smiled slightly—

"If you both are truly married…"

"Then small things should be natural."

He snapped his fingers.

A servant brought tea.

"Feed each other," he said.

Kiara froze.

Aarav's heartbeat increased.

This wasn't part of the plan.

"Why?" Kiara asked.

Mr. Malhotra leaned back—

"Because couples do that… don't they?"

Silence.

Heavy tension filled the room.

Kiara slowly picked up the cup…

Her hands were slightly shaking.

Aarav looked at her…

Then without saying anything—

He gently held her hand… to steady it.

For the first time…

There was no acting.

No deal.

Just a moment.

Kiara looked into his eyes…

And softly… fed him tea.

Mr. Malhotra observed everything carefully.

Every expression… every movement.

A slight smile appeared on his face—

"Good…"

But deep inside…

He wasn't convinced.

Because outside the mansion…

Someone was watching them.

A shadow in the dark
