Chapter 249 - Are Akainu and Kizaru Gay?

"Ahaha, I might have eaten something bad too!"

As soon as Sengoku slipped into the bathroom, Garp followed him in with a laugh!

"What's going on?"

The moment Garp entered the bathroom, Sengoku asked in confusion, "Why can't I accept his interview?"

"I've already been interviewed by him once!"

Garp lowered his voice, his face utterly miserable. "Do you know what kinds of questions that bastard asked me?…"

After hearing about Garp's experience being interviewed by Kairo D. Arashi, Sengoku immediately wiped away a cold sweat. Fortunately, Garp had warned him in time. Otherwise, he would probably have fallen into Kairo D. Arashi's trap as well. It was true that Kairo D. Arashi only asked about trivial matters of everyday life, but his questions were incredibly devious. They were all old men now, and if Kairo D. Arashi dug up some embarrassing stories from their younger days, they wouldn't know where to put their dignity!

"We're screwed!"

Suddenly, Sengoku's eyes widened as he hurriedly said, "Then Sakazuki and Borsalino aren't going to…"

Before Sengoku could finish, Garp gave a sly grin. "Let's hear it. I'm curious what tricky questions that brat is going to ask Sakazuki and the others!"

Inside the office.

Akainu, Kizaru, and Kairo D. Arashi stared at one another, the atmosphere extremely awkward.

Akainu and Kizaru, in particular, had absolutely no idea what was going on! If not for the order Marshal Sengoku had just given them, they would have turned around and walked away without hesitation!

Although they had both heard the name Kairo D. Arashi, the Traveler, and had even witnessed Issho's strength when Kaido attacked, that certainly wasn't a reason for two Marine Headquarters Admirals to agree to an interview.

Kairo D. Arashi said nothing either, silently sizing the two men up!

Since this had happened so suddenly, he hadn't prepared any questions for the two of them. The questions he had prepared earlier were all aimed at Sengoku. Now that his interview subjects had suddenly changed, he had to improvise. More importantly, getting two Marine Headquarters Admirals to agree to an interview was no easy feat! This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and he had to make the most of it.

The two men's appearances and attire were not much different from those in the original story. Akainu wore his usual gloomy expression, looking as though someone had dug up his family's ancestral grave. Kizaru, meanwhile, was just as he was in the original, exuding an air of laziness from head to toe, looking every bit like a salted fish content to muddle through life!

"Good day, Admirals!"

After a brief silence, Kairo D. Arashi decided that basic courtesy was still necessary. He promptly stood up and walked over to the two men before continuing, "I'm Kairo D. Arashi, the Traveler! I originally intended to interview Marshal Sengoku, but Marshal Sengoku… Well, that means I'll have to trouble the two Admirals instead. Of course, please rest assured that I absolutely won't ask about any Marine secrets. They'll all be questions about everyday life!"

"Being interviewed… somehow sounds rather frightening!"

Looking at Kairo D. Arashi standing before them, Kizaru spoke first. "But, isn't asking questions something reporters do?"

"Interests and hobbies!"

Kairo D. Arashi shrugged slightly and smiled. "As a Traveler, if I can't record some interesting stories and amusing events during my travels, or interview some important figures and learn about the private, everyday lives of people as important as the two Admirals, it would be a bit of a shame. Anyway, there's no need for the two Admirals to just stand there. Let's get started. Once the interview is over, I'll treat you both to a whole roasted lamb!"

As he spoke, Kairo D. Arashi's eyes lit up as he looked toward the little white sheep, Meiyangyang, standing beside the desk!

When Sengoku, standing inside the bathroom, suddenly heard Kairo D. Arashi mention "whole roasted lamb," his eyes instantly widened.

"Garp, what does he mean by that?"

"Well, I guess he's got his eyes on that little white sheep!"

Garp blinked, drooling as he said, "Whole roasted lamb. That's quite an idea~"

"You dare!"

Sengoku instantly exploded. He grabbed Garp by the collar and snarled, "If anything happens to Meiyangyang from now on, I'm coming after you, Garp!"

The moment Sengoku finished speaking, Akainu's voice came from outside.

"Although I don't know what exactly is going on, since this is an order from Marshal Sengoku, we will naturally cooperate with your interview! But let me make one thing clear first. Even if the Marshal's order takes precedence, we will not answer any questions concerning the Marines!"

With that, Akainu turned around without hesitation, walked over to the sofa, and sat down before looking up at Kairo D. Arashi.

Although he had no idea what was going on, he was more or less curious about Kairo D. Arashi, the Traveler. His curiosity had nothing to do with all of Garp's exaggerated praise. Rather, it came from everything Kairo D. Arashi had done during his travels. As someone who upheld Absolute Justice, Akainu had a certain degree of admiration for the righteous deeds Kairo D. Arashi had carried out!

Seeing Akainu actually be the first to step forward and agree to this rather absurd interview, Kairo D. Arashi was somewhat surprised. After all, this man was a ruthless soldier who cared deeply about maintaining the dignity of the Marines, as well as a quintessential hardliner!

That was precisely why his adherence to Absolute Justice had drawn so much controversy, and why he had ultimately become the target of widespread condemnation after killing Ace.

As far as upholding Absolute Justice was concerned, he had indeed gone too far, and his methods were overly brutal! But when it came to killing Ace, Kairo D. Arashi felt that Akainu had done nothing wrong. What was wrong with a Marine killing a pirate? Although Ace had a great personality, he was still a pirate standing on the opposing side of the Marines!

As for the Ohara incident, the true instigators were not Akainu, but Spandine, who issued the order for the Buster Call, and the World Government behind him!

Of course, whether Akainu upheld Absolute Justice or bombed the evacuation ship and killed Ace, none of that had much to do with Kairo D. Arashi. Right now, he only wanted to dig up some juicy gossip from Akainu and Kizaru to increase the interview's reach and earn the reward of 200,000 Travel Points!

Seeing that Akainu had actually agreed to this somewhat ridiculous interview, Kizaru said nothing either. He silently walked over and sat down beside Akainu, then crossed his legs and looked at Kairo D. Arashi.

It had to be said that as the Marines' two greatest combat forces, the sheer presence of the two men was truly formidable.

If an ordinary person were to face the two of them directly, they would probably have been trembling in fear already!

But Kairo D. Arashi was no ordinary person. As soon as the two men sat down, he immediately picked up the Video Transponder Snail from the desk. Then, after clearing his throat twice, he decisively got straight to the point.

"Good day, Admirals. I'm Kairo D. Arashi, a Traveler. Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedules to accept my interview. I sincerely appreciate it! To avoid delaying the two Admirals' great work of capturing pirates and upholding justice, I won't waste any more time! Let's begin the interview directly!"

"As far as I know, both Admirals have remained single to this day. What is the reason for that? Is it because you haven't met anyone you like, or because you're too busy with work to have time to think about such things? Or perhaps… neither of you likes women, and you're gay?"
