Prinsess sangita and the dragon

Princess Sangita and the Dragon

Princess Sangita was known across her kingdom for her courage and kindness. Unlike other royals, she loved exploring the forests beyond the palace walls. One evening, villagers rushed to her with fearful news—a great dragon had appeared near the hills, breathing fire and scaring everyone away.

Determined to protect her people, Sangita set out alone at dawn. When she reached the hills, she found the dragon resting beside a dried river. It looked fierce, but its eyes held sadness rather than anger.

Instead of attacking, Sangita spoke gently, asking why it had come. To her surprise, the dragon replied that its home had been destroyed, and it was searching for water and shelter. It never meant to harm anyone.

Sangita realized the dragon was not an enemy. She guided it to a hidden lake deep within the forest where it could live peacefully. In return, the dragon promised to protect the kingdom from real dangers.

When Sangita returned, the people celebrated her bravery. From that day on, the dragon became a silent guardian, and Princess Sangita was remembered not just as brave—but wise.
