Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Sam’s POV - The Morning After

Where am I…?

"Mmmm…" I groaned softly as I slowly opened my eyes.

My head felt heavy.

The last thing I remembered was standing on the rooftop… talking to that guy under the moonlight.

And then—

"Ouch!" I winced, pressing a hand against my temple as a sharp pain throbbed through my head.

"What happened to me?" I muttered weakly.

I blinked and looked around the room in confusion.

Everything was white.

The walls.

The furniture.

Even the curtains.

That was when it hit me.

This definitely wasn't my bedroom.

"Wait… where am I?" I whispered, my brows furrowing.

Was I in a hotel?

Then I noticed something strange.

It felt like something heavy was resting on my stomach.

Confused, I slowly looked down.

And my heart nearly stopped.

An arm.

A man's arm.

Wrapped around my waist.

My eyes widened in horror as I slowly turned my head—

And saw a guy's face sleeping right next to mine.

"AHHHHH!!"

I screamed and jumped away from the bed, scrambling backward until my back slammed against the headboard.

My heart pounded wildly in my chest.

"Augggh…" the guy groaned.

I froze instantly.

Oh crap.

"What the hell is your problem?" he groaned irritably, rubbing his head as he slowly sat up.

As he moved, the blanket slid down—

Revealing his bare chest.

Defined abs.

A perfect six-pack.

I covered my mouth in shock.

T-that was the guy from the rooftop!

"Oh Christ… what have I gotten myself into?" I whispered, panic creeping into my voice.

He was only wearing boxers.

Nothing else.

"How dare you!" I shouted, pointing at him with a trembling finger.

"Where am I?! What did you do to me?!"

He stared at me blankly, clearly confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"Damn you!" I snapped, clutching the blanket tightly around myself like a shield.

"Don't pretend you don't know!"

"What did you do to me? Why did you bring me here?!"

Tears began forming in my eyes.

"Huh?"

"Can you calm down for a second?" he said irritably, running a hand through his messy hair.

His cold glare actually made me shrink back a little.

"Calm down?!" I shouted, my voice shaking.

"After what happened, you're telling me to calm down?!"

Tears streamed down my face.

"Listen, miss," he said seriously, his expression hardening.

"I didn't do anything."

"How could you do something like that to me?!" I cried, my voice breaking.

"How could you rape me?!"

He stared at me in complete disbelief.

"A WHAT?!" he shouted.

"Me? Rape you?!"

"Holy Christ!"

He pointed at his own face dramatically.

"Look at me! Does this face look like a rapist to you?!"

"Oh really?" I shot back angrily.

"Then why are you half naked?! And why am I—"

He suddenly started laughing.

"Why are you laughing?!" I snapped, glaring at him.

"Because you're ridiculous," he said between chuckles.

"Why don't you check yourself before throwing accusations."

I froze.

Slowly… nervously… I checked my clothes.

My hands ran over my body.

Then I realized something.

I was still wearing the same clothes from last night.

The dress.

Everything.

I swallowed nervously.

"Take the blanket off," he said with an amused grin.

My face turned bright red as I checked properly.

"Thank God…" I sighed in relief.

Then another realization hit me.

"Oh shit," I groaned, covering my face in embarrassment.

I wanted the ground to swallow me whole.

"See?" he said smugly.

"Now do you believe me?"

"What the hell did you drink last night? Your brain clearly left your body."

I buried my face in my hands.

This was officially the most embarrassing moment of my life.

Flashback

"Here's your blanket," I said casually, tossing it toward him.

"I'm going home," I added quickly.

"Really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"At this hour?"

I glanced at the clock.

2:59 AM.

"I don't care," I muttered stubbornly. "I'm leaving."

I quickly slipped on my shoes and grabbed my bag.

"Fine," he said with a small shrug.

"Go ahead."

I reached the door, then suddenly stopped.

When I turned around, I saw him lying back on the bed, watching me.

"What?" he asked.

"Don't tell me you want me to drive you home."

Excuse me?! I thought angrily.

But instead of yelling, I froze.

"You just what?" he asked curiously, tilting his head.

I wanted to ask him something.

But I didn't know how.

My hand tightened nervously around the doorknob.

"Tell me, "He said slowly.

"Did you change your mind and decide to stay?"

He stood up and walked closer.

Before I could react, he leaned toward me.

His breath brushed against my ear, sending chills down my spine.

"We're the only ones here," he whispered.

"And we have plenty of time."

"Do you want to actually—"

"STOP!"

I shoved him away before he could finish.

"You're unbelievably full of yourself!" I snapped, glaring at him.

"I was just going to ask something!"

"But never mind!"

"I can go home by myself!"

Then I stormed out of his room, my face burning with embarrassment.

He stood there, clearly surprised by my sudden outburst.

Back in the present, I splashed cold water onto my face in the bathroom.

"Ughhh!"

I groaned, staring at my reflection in the mirror.

I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened earlier.

"How embarrassing," I muttered under my breath.

"I looked like such an idiot."

With a tired sigh, I leaned back against the bathtub.

"What a jerk," I grumbled.

But then another thought crossed my mind.

If it had been another guy…

Someone worse…

He could have taken advantage of me while I was unconscious.

But he didn't.

I exhaled slowly.

"I guess… I should thank him."

For a moment, I went quiet.

His face suddenly flashed in my mind.

"Honestly…" I murmured.

"He was really handsome."

And aside from that—

He was kind of cool.

But still.

"Arrogant jerk," I muttered, shaking my head.

"Oh God," I groaned, covering my face.

"Please don't let me ever see that guy again."

And if we ever did cross paths…

I would definitely hide.

...............…..

When I got home, I immediately called Chloe to check on them.

It took a moment before someone finally answered.

France.

I could hear the worry in his voice. He clearly thought something bad had happened to me.

Apparently, Chloe and Mika had gotten drunk too.

Luckily, France stayed with them and let them sleep at the house where the party was held.

I asked him to explain to them why I suddenly disappeared last night.

Of course…

I lied.

I told him I went home early because I wasn't feeling well.

When the call ended, I covered my face with both hands.

I can't believe last night happened."

I had never acted like that before.

I hated myself for putting myself in such a situation.

Still…

Maybe it was a lesson I needed to learn.

Sometimes it takes a terrible experience for reality to sink in.

But at least now—

I understood one thing clearly.

I would never make the same mistake again.
