Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Virtuous Wife Mode Activated~

After another round of thunder and lightning, a torrential downpour arrived.

Splatter! Splatter! Splatter!

Rainwater accumulated on the eaves and slid down one after another.

The wild wind added quite a bit of commotion to this unusual night.

It wasn't until the latter half of the night that the wildly swaying trees and flickering shadows gradually calmed down...

[Ding! Successfully became confidants with Delia and established a special relationship.]

[Mission Reward: Beginner Aura Power has been issued.]

The system's notification sound rang in his mind.

Roy held the warm and soft Delia in his arms and took a gentle sip of the water that had already boiled.

He let out a long sigh of satisfaction and looked down at the sleeping beauty in his arms, who still had a hint of a smile on her lips.

Delia's cheeks were flushed, and teardrops still hung from her eyelashes, yet she slept exceptionally sweetly.

Clearly, she was exhausted.

Roy put down the water cup, not in a hurry to sleep.

With a thought, he immediately began to ponder the Aura Power he had just obtained.

"Aura Power..."

Roy closed his eyes and concentrated.

A wonderful sensation instantly spread out.

It was as if a third eye had opened in his mind, presenting the world in another form within his perception.

It wasn't sight, nor was it hearing.

It was an all-encompassing "perception."

Concentrating his will, the invisible Aura began to spread to the surroundings.

Soon, Roy "saw" it—on the sofa in the downstairs living room, a warm ball of life energy was curled up.

It was Eevee.

The little fellow was sound asleep, its ears twitching occasionally, its breathing steady.

The outline of its Aura was clearly visible, and he could even vaguely perceive the faint flow of energy within its body.

"Impressive..."

Roy praised inwardly.

This was only Beginner Aura Power.

And it could already do this much.

If he continued to upgrade it, wouldn't he be able to fight with Aura, scout, or even communicate with Pokémon just like in the movies?

Roy tried to extend his Aura even further.

Ten meters, twenty meters... when it reached about a hundred meters, he began to feel the strain.

His perception also became blurred.

"Beginner level indeed has its limits."

Roy withdrew his Aura, but he already had a rough plan for its use.

Exploring secret realms, finding rare Pokémon, sensing danger... it was simply a divine tool for travel.

Roy thought as he held Delia tighter in his arms.

With warm fragrance and soft jade in his arms, and Aura Power in his body.

He closed his eyes contentedly and soon fell into a deep sleep... The next morning.

The rain had stopped and the sky was clear; sunlight spilled into the bedroom through the gaps in the curtains.

Delia twisted slightly in Roy's arms and opened her eyes dizzily.

What came into view was Roy's sleeping profile.

Seeing him from such a close distance, Delia's face turned red again.

She moved her body slightly and immediately felt a certain sensation.

But strangely, it wasn't uncomfortable.

Instead, there was a kind of... refreshing sense of fatigue.

Like after intense exercise, although tired, the whole body felt comfortable.

Last night... it really wasn't a dream.

Delia murmured softly, reaching out to gently touch Roy's face.

A real tactile sensation came from her fingertips.

It was real.

She really did it with Roy... Thinking of last night, Delia buried her face in Roy's chest and smiled secretly.

Her heart was as sweet as if she had eaten honey.

In twenty-eight years, she had never been this happy.

Roy was truly wonderful.

"I've waited all these years, it was worth it."

Delia thought contentedly, nuzzling into Roy's arms again.

However, in the next second, she suddenly froze.

"Ah!"

An exclamation escaped her lips.

Roy was startled awake; before his eyes were even fully open, his hand instinctively gave a squeeze.

"What's wrong? Is it raining again?"

He asked groggily.

Delia gave Roy a light slap.

"Hmm? Oh my~ you're so improper~"

With a red face, Delia sat up from Roy's arms.

"Today is the day you receive your Pokemon!"

"Quick, quick, quick~ get up!"

Only then did Roy wake up completely.

Today was the day the rookie Trainers of Pallet Town set off.

According to tradition, Professor Oak would distribute starter Pokemon at the laboratory.

"What time is it?"

Roy sat up, revealing his lean and strong upper body.

Delia stole a glance, and her heart rate quickened again.

"It's almost eight o'clock! The Professor usually starts distributing at nine. If you go late, the good Pokemon will be chosen!"

As Delia spoke, she couldn't bother being shy anymore; she threw off the quilt and was about to get out of bed.

As a result, as soon as her feet touched the ground, her legs went weak and she almost fell.

"Be careful."

Roy reached out to support her.

"It's... it's all your fault..."

Delia glared at him with a red face, but her eyes were full of affection.

She steadied herself and quickly picked up the scattered clothes on the floor.

Roy's pajamas, her nightgown, and... those pink panties that had gone missing last night.

"Get up quickly! I'm going to prepare breakfast for you!"

Clutching her clothes, she ran out of the bedroom like a startled deer.

Roy stretched and smiled with satisfaction at the red floral bedsheet that had been swapped out in the corner.

He got up slowly and began to get dressed.

The Trainer outfit Delia had prepared for him last night was placed on the chair.

As Roy dressed, he thought about his next plan.

Knowing the plot well, his goal was not those three conventional starters.

Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle.

They were indeed all good.

But Roy had a better choice.

So, no rush.

Roy tied his shoelaces, and a handsome, tall young man appeared in the mirror.

Standing over 1.8 meters tall, with a well-proportioned and powerful build, and sharp eyes.

With this getup, he really did have the Aura of a Trainer.

He walked out of the bedroom and went downstairs to the kitchen.

Delia was busy.

She had changed into a casual dress with an apron tied around her waist.

Her long hair was casually tied into a ponytail, revealing her fair neck.

There were still a few faint red marks on it.

Hearing footsteps, Delia turned around and saw Roy in this outfit, her eyes lighting up.

"So handsome~"

She blurted out, then lowered her head in embarrassment to continue frying eggs.

"Sit down quickly, breakfast will be ready soon."

Roy sat down at the dining table.

Soon, a hearty breakfast was served.

Fried eggs, bacon, toast, vegetable salad, and a glass of hot milk.

"Eat more."

Delia sat opposite, watching Roy eat with her chin in her hands.

Her eyes were full of tenderness.

Since being "marked" by Roy last night, she seemed to have completely activated a certain attribute.

Virtuous wife mode fully engaged.

She considered Roy in everything.

"You eat too."

Roy pushed the salad in front of her.

"I'll eat later, you eat first."

Delia shook her head and continued to stare at Roy.

The more she looked, the more satisfied she became.

So handsome, so strong, so manly... he was simply the perfect boyfriend.

No, he should be the perfect husband now.

Delia thought, her heart filled with joy.

But soon she became anxious again.

"Eat quickly, and go to the laboratory as soon as you're done."

"What if you go late and the good Pokemon are chosen?"

Roy ate his bread unhurriedly.

"No rush, let them choose first."

"Don't you want Charmander? It can eventually evolve into Charizard!"

Delia was a bit worried.

Although she wasn't a Trainer, she knew about Charizard's strength and popularity.

One of the signature Pokemon of the Kanto region.

Roy smiled and didn't explain.

He certainly knew Charizard was strong.

But compared to Charizard, he wanted that one more... "Alright, I'm finished."

Roy put down his cup and stood up.

Delia hurriedly stood up as well.

Delia saw him to the yard gate: "Be careful on the road, stay safe."

Looking at the admonishing Delia, Roy suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.

"Aren't you coming with me?"

Delia froze for a moment, then blushed.

"I won't go. You'll set off on your journey once you get your Pokemon, so I have to quickly clean up the 'good deeds' you did last night!"

She said, her voice getting smaller and smaller.

"Mopping the floor, washing underwear, washing bedsheets..."

"Um... I wonder if those kinds of marks can be washed off..."

As Delia said this, her face felt incredibly hot.

"Oh my, oh my, you go get your Pokemon first!"

"I'll clean the house and pack the luggage, then we'll meet up."

She pushed Roy outward.

Roy, however, pulled her into his arms.

He lowered his head and kissed her.

"Mmm..."

Delia made a token struggle, then went limp in Roy's arms.

This kiss was gentle and long.

It wasn't until Delia was almost out of breath that Roy let her go.

Roy ruffled her hair and turned to walk toward the edge of town.

Delia stood in place, staring blankly at Roy's back.

The sensation still lingered on her lips.

Roy's warmth still remained on her body.

She was hard-controlled by this kiss for three seconds.

It wasn't until Roy had walked far away that she came back to her senses.

"Really..."

Delia touched her burning face, her legs unconsciously pressing together as she twisted slightly.

It was still a bit sore there.

But her heart was so sweet it was about to overflow.

She hummed a song and happily went back inside to clean up.

She had to wash the bedsheets quickly.

And her own underwear... well, those pink lace ones needed to be hand-washed carefully... Roy walked along the small path in Pallet Town.

The air in the town after the rain was fresh; Caterpie and Weedle could occasionally be seen in the grass by the roadside.

Pidgey chirped in the trees.

It was a scene of peace and harmony.

Roy walked toward the Oaks Laboratory according to the map in his memory.

Although he hadn't been there, it wasn't hard to find.

Pallet Town wasn't large to begin with.

The laboratory was at the edge of town, near the back mountain.

From afar, Roy saw a building that occupied quite a large area.

White outer walls, blue roof.

A sign hung at the door: Oaks Laboratory.

Surrounding it were large courtyards and lawns, enclosed by fences.

Many Pokemon could be seen active inside.

Nidoran♂, Nidoran♀, Rattata... there was even a Growlithe on patrol.

Roy approached, feeling somewhat emotional.

Samuel Oak.

Kanto region's Pokemon Professor, first generation League Champion.

Although he had now retreated to the second line to do research, his strength and prestige remained.

His connections were spread throughout the entire Pokemon world.

Just looking at this laboratory confirmed it.

In a small place like Pallet Town, to be able to build such a large laboratory and keep so many Pokemon.

His family background was not ordinary.

And... Roy looked at the open gate and raised an eyebrow.

The laboratory gate was just left open like that.

A bunch of rare Pokemon were inside.

Yet Professor Oak wasn't worried about theft at all.

What level of self-confidence was this.

But then again, who would dare come to Professor Oak's place to steal Pokemon?

Team Rockets? Pokemon poachers?

They would probably be spotted by Oak's old friends the moment they stepped into Pallet Town.

Not to mention Oak himself.

Although he currently looked like a kind old-timer, wearing a white lab coat and doing research all day.

He didn't seem to have any standing combat Pokemon by his side.

But who could guarantee that in the next second, he wouldn't pull a Champion-level Dragonite out of his lab coat?

The foundation of the first-generation Champion was no joke.

Roy shook his head and stopped overthinking.

He stepped toward the laboratory gate.

Just as Roy was about to enter the laboratory, a burst of noisy sounds came from the other side.
