Chapter 1 - The Man Without PowerThe city of Vayunagar never truly slept.

Even at midnight, its veins pulsed with light — neon signs flickering, drones humming through the sky, traffic whispering along rain-slick roads. Towering glass buildings pierced the clouds like spears aimed at heaven itself.

But down below, in the forgotten parts of the city, light struggled to survive.

Arjun Rao stood alone on the rooftop of a crumbling apartment building, staring at the distant skyline. Wind tugged at his faded jacket. Below him, stray dogs barked and garbage burned in metal barrels.

He clenched his fists.

"So many lights… but none for people like me."

At twenty-four, Arjun felt ancient. Not because of age — because of exhaustion.

Exhaustion from rejection.

From poverty.

From being invisible.

Once, he had dreamed of becoming an engineer. A creator. Someone who would build machines that changed the world.

Now he repaired broken appliances in a roadside stall.

A broken life fixing broken things.

Thunder rolled across the sky.

Rain began to fall — slow at first, then sudden and violent, like the city itself had decided to cry.

Arjun didn't move.

"Maybe… this is enough," he whispered.

He stepped closer to the edge.

Five stories below, darkness waited.

Not death exactly — just silence. An end to struggle.

His phone buzzed in his pocket.

He ignored it.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

With a sigh of irritation, he pulled it out.

A message from an unknown number:

"Do not step forward."

Arjun frowned.

"What the—?"

Another message arrived instantly.

"You are not meant to die tonight."

His stomach tightened.

Cold spread through him — not from the rain.

He scanned the rooftop.

Empty.

"Who's there?" he called.

Only wind answered.

Then—

A sudden explosion of light erupted from the building across the street.

Windows shattered outward.

A deep mechanical roar echoed into the night.

Arjun stumbled back from the edge as something shot into the sky — a glowing object trailing sparks and energy.

It hovered above the city like a newborn star.

Seven points of light burned across its surface.

Red.

Orange.

Yellow.

Green.

Blue.

Indigo.

Violet.

Arjun stared, breathless.

"…What is that?"

Suddenly, the object spiraled out of control.

It crashed through the side of his building.

Concrete exploded.

The rooftop floor buckled beneath his feet.

Arjun was thrown backward as smoke and debris swallowed everything.

When the dust settled, a massive metal capsule lay embedded in the rooftop, glowing faintly.

Heat radiated from it.

Cracks of light pulsed along its surface — like a heartbeat.

Against every survival instinct, Arjun approached.

Something inside him pulled forward.

Not curiosity.

Recognition.

The capsule hissed.

Panels slid open with mechanical precision.

Inside… was a suit.

Sleek. Black. Alien yet human in shape.

Seven circular nodes ran down the chest, each glowing with a different color — the same colors he had seen in the sky.

A whisper brushed against his mind.

Wear it.

Arjun staggered.

"Who said that?"

No answer.

Only the rain, hissing against hot metal.

He reached out.

The moment his fingers touched the suit—

🔥 PAIN 🔥

White-hot agony surged through his body, like lightning traveling through every nerve at once.

He screamed and collapsed.

Images flooded his mind:

Ancient temples.

Warriors glowing with energy.

Cosmic storms.

A serpent of light coiled around a human spine.

Seven spinning wheels of fire.

Chakras.

Energy exploded outward from his body, shattering nearby debris.

His heart pounded violently.

Then—

Silence.

Arjun lay gasping on the ground.

The suit was no longer in the capsule.

It was on him.

Seamlessly fused to his body like living armor.

"What… what is happening to me…?"

A deep pulse vibrated through his chest.

The lowest node — glowing red — blazed to life.

🔥 ROOT CHAKRA ACTIVATED 🔥

Power surged into his muscles.

Not strength like lifting weights.

Strength like the earth itself had decided to move through him.

He rose slowly, trembling.

"I feel… heavy…"

He stepped forward—

CRACK.

Concrete shattered under his foot.

His eyes widened.

"No… no, no, no…"

He tried to step back gently.

The rooftop caved inward.

Chunks of cement fell into the building below.

"I can't control it!"

Panic surged.

His heartbeat accelerated.

The red glow intensified.

The suit responded to emotion.

Strength multiplied wildly.

"STOP!"

He slammed his fist into the ground.

💥 BOOM 💥

A shockwave blasted outward, ripping air apart.

Windows shattered across nearby buildings.

Car alarms screamed below.

Arjun stared at the crater beneath his hand.

Rainwater poured into it, hissing against the hot stone.

"What have I done…?"

Sirens wailed in the distance.

Lights turned on across the neighborhood.

People were waking up.

Seeing.

Fear crept in.

"If they see me… they'll think I'm a monster."

A calm voice suddenly spoke inside his mind.

"You are not a monster."

Arjun spun around.

No one there.

"WHO ARE YOU?!"

"I am the system designed to guide the wearer."

His breath caught.

"You're… inside the suit?"

"Correct."

He laughed weakly.

"I've lost my mind."

"Vital signs stable. Chakra synchronization at 12%."

"…Chakra?"

Images from earlier flashed again — spinning wheels of energy, ancient symbols.

"This is impossible…"

"The Chakra Ascension Suit channels bio-spiritual energy through seven primary nodes."

Arjun's head spun.

"You mean… this thing is powered by my soul?"

"Simplified explanation: yes."

Lightning flashed overhead.

Thunder roared.

Footsteps echoed from the stairwell door.

Police.

They were already here.

"Freeze! Put your hands up!"

Arjun turned.

Flashlights blinded him.

Officers stared at the crater… then at him.

Weapons raised.

"What the hell is that suit?"

Fear twisted in his chest.

"I don't want to hurt anyone…"

The suit pulsed.

Red light flared brighter.

"Threat detected."

"No, wait—"

"Defensive protocol initiating."

Energy exploded from his body.

A shockwave hurled the officers backward — not lethal, but powerful enough to slam them into walls.

Arjun staggered, horrified.

"I didn't mean to!"

More sirens approached.

Helicopter blades thundered overhead.

Searchlights locked onto him.

The system spoke again.

"Probability of capture: 92%."

Panic surged.

"What do I do?!"

A brief pause.

Then—

"Jump."

"…What?"

"Trust me."

Arjun looked over the edge.

Five stories.

Too high.

"I'll die!"

"You will not."

More weapons aimed at him.

Time ran out.

"Okay… okay… don't panic…"

He stepped onto the ledge.

Closed his eyes.

And jumped.

For one terrifying second, he felt nothing but gravity.

Then—

Energy erupted from his legs.

💥 BOOM 💥

He hit the ground like a meteor — but instead of breaking bones, the street shattered beneath him.

Cracks spiderwebbed across the asphalt.

Cars bounced.

Windows shattered.

Arjun slowly stood.

Not a scratch on him.

"…I'm alive."

Awe replaced fear.

Power hummed through every cell.

Above, the helicopter circled.

Spotlight searching.

He ran.

Not sprinted.

Ran.

And the world blurred.

Wind roared past his ears.

Buildings became streaks of light.

In seconds, he crossed blocks that normally took minutes.

He skidded to a stop in an empty alley, breathing hard.

"What… am I becoming?"

The rain softened.

Silence returned.

Far away, sirens faded.

For the first time in his life…

Arjun Rao felt something he had never known.

Not despair.

Not anger.

Not loneliness.

Power.

Real power.

But somewhere in the city, watching through hidden cameras…

A man smiled.

"So… the prototype chose its host."

His eyes gleamed with hunger.

"Perfect."
