Chapter 1 - 0_The Dream Embedded

"I am going to be king of the pirate! Hehe..." Luffy shouted and smiled.

That was the time Tomo stared at the screen with sparkling eyes as he knew what his dream was. There, the person wearing the straw hat was not any anime character but a boy who wanted to achieve his insane dream.

Tomo stood up and shouted," I too will become the next king of the pira-"

"Shut up you numskull!" An elderly man hit Tomo's head hard." Kids this days..."

"Oww...that hurt old man"

"Should I give you another one, huh?" He spoke as he clenched his fist.

Tomo also clenched both his fist and took a fighting stance."I don't care if you are old, old man but no one is stopping me to become the king of the pirates!"

"Ho! Look at you, trying to state such rubbish at such young age" the old man chuckled and spoke,"Listen boy, pirates are gone and no one can be the king of them."

"You are lying!" Tomo yelled."Just like how you said Santa doesn't exist or the tooth fairy!"

"OH am I now? Little Tomo, I said that so you can man up and leave those meaningless things behind," the old man stood up and graped Tomo and held him on his shoulder."Listen little Tomo, I don't have much time left with you so get stringe for me ok."

"You leaving old man?"

"Kinda little Tomo...for a long time time"

"When you coming back?" Tomo questioned.

"..." The old man stared out the window which should the sea side."Sigh...nevermind what I said," the old man smiled and patted Tomo's head."

"Whatever old man," Tomo struggled to free himself from the old man's grip." I'm gonna go outside to become the king of the pirates!"

As the old man let go, young Tomo ran out the door, leaving the old man by himself. There was soft laughter in the air and a new journey starting.

[12 years later...]

Plop...plop...plop...

It was raining heavily at the shore of Columbia. There was something off about today as there was a funeral happening at the shore.

"We are here to honor the passing of Sébastien Rojas, a man who was a fisher man, a man of sea, a father and also a grandfather," a dark skinned man spoke.

A coffin was placed near the sea and the body was in it. Only two people was seen there at the funeral and one was Tomo.

He was staring blankly at the coffin as the raindrop acted as his tear for this to be happening was to surreal.

"Be strong for me, little Tomo," those words hurt like daggers. That man's laughter were like distant echoes." Why... even though I knew this day would come...why does it hurt so much?" Tomo thought.

"You knew this would happen so why won't I believe you are gone! Please...just please, tell me you are lying again," then the tears that were held back broke loose, mixing with the rain and flowing down his face." You were the only family I had, you were like a father to me."

The dark skinned man approached Tomo and patted his shoulder. "Tomo, it's time for you to do the farewell part," he told Tomo. "I know it's hard but it must be done to fulfill his wish."

"Okay, I will Diego," and Tomo walked towards the coffin. Then he placed his hand on it and said," Remember the time I said I will become the king of the pirates, I still have it as my dream so please don't get mad and wack me ok, old man."

Then Tomo pushed the coffin to the sea and watched as it drifted away on the raft. And as he walked away, he heard a familiar laughter.

'Hahaha...the ONE PIECE!!!'
